Chapter 4 Passive

The son and Wang Ao went south to fight. The shogunate had moved from Rongyang to Wang Jian in Qifeng to play chess with Wei Liao. Qifeng was sixty miles south of Daliang, with Muze in the north and Honggu in the east. This city was originally built by Duke Zhuang of Zheng, which meant to expand the territory. Zheng was destroyed by Han, Qifeng returned to Han, and the Wei people defeated Han, and Qifeng returned to Wei again. During the reign of Emperor Jing of Qin and Han, the later Han Dynasty, he changed his name to Kaifeng, and Kaifeng came from this.

Daliang became a water squash overnight, and the rivers connecting the waters were all south of Daliang and the Honggou water section north of Qifeng. Therefore, this small town with a circumference of less than eight miles also replaced Daliang to control the waters. Wang Jian moved the shogunate here. Wei Liao, who came from Huai County, moved here and played chess with Wang Jian every day.

"Our army made a fight, will King Jing Yun?" Wang Jian was absent-minded in the last time he played chess at Pingyin Fortress, but this time it was Wei Liao. He felt that Wang Jian's method might not be effective. After all, the Chu army and the four divisions returned from Muling Pass to aid had only 100,000 people. His own side was six times the enemy, and no matter how strong the Chu army was, he could not defeat his own enemy, six times the enemy.

"Why don't you agree?" Wang Jian stared at the chessboard and made a very quick move. He wanted to win Wei Liao's game. "The Jing people are light and arrogant, and they invite a war with great dignity. How can there be a reason to refuse? King Jing is the king. If the young master makes an appointment for a fight, he will not agree. Isn't it a laugh for the world?"

"Ruoyun, why fight?" Wei Liao pinched the chess piece and hung in the air. He came here to ask Wang Jian how to fight in this battle. Unfortunately, before Wang Jian answered, the military officers came from outside the curtain. Wang Ben and Wang Ao, who were going to make an appointment, came back.

After receiving the letter of war, Wang Ben and Wang Ao were sent out by Chu army salutes. This time, the Chu army was very careful and put a cloth cover on the heads of the two of them, and then sent them out of the Chu territory. When the shogunate reported, neither of them mentioned this section, but only said that King Jing fought as agreed.

"What do you mean by King Jing?" Wang Jian couldn't think about it. After a while, he asked the details of the two of them about the trip.

"Jing Wangyan: If you want to fight, then fight." Wang Ben replied, and he chose not to say the following sentence.

No one knows his son is better than his father. When his eyes change, Wang Jian felt that he was not telling the truth. He also said: "King Jing's words and deeds are related to war. His so-called words, word by word, should not be missed."

"He, he still said," Wang Ben's Adam's apple moved, and after a while he put the sentence in his back: "If the Qin army is defeated again, Wang Jian will wear a woman's mattress first and then run away..."

"It's outrageous!" The general and the adviser were also listening in the tent, and he couldn't help but feel a little angry when he heard this.

"Are King Jing angry?" Wang Jian didn't care whether he was wearing a woman's mattress.

"Not angry." Wang Ben thought about it for a moment and said with certainty. "Jing Wang said with a smile."

"Report to the general," Wang Ao said, and he bowed to Wei Liao, the teacher. "We never get tired of deceitful soldiers. Although King Jing promised, the generals of Jing may not agree. I heard that the policy of Jing State was not determined by King Jing alone, so I was discussing it every day, and I thought that the people of Jing would not fight..."

"How can we talk about state affairs and military affairs?" Wang Ao's meaning was not recognized by Wang Jian, "Since King Jing has promised, the people of Jing must go north."

"Since that's the case, please gather the general and give orders. We swear to fight to the death with the people of Jing!" Zhao Ying, the Marquis of Wudu, could not stand his temper. He wished he could kill Shouying now, but he was not the general, but Wang Jian was the general.

"As King Jing comes, how should our army be arranged in formation?" asked Meng Gong, the cron of the right general Meng Tian. "The north is the water lake, the east is the Honggou, and the south can be fought. There are more cavalry and soldiers in our army than Jing, so we should not line up along the Honggou, so the cavalry should not be attacked."

"Arrange along the gulf, the boat division can also attack behind it." From the perspective of the cavalry, the battlefield should not be close to the gulf, nor should it be close to the swamp, which is not conducive to the development of the cavalry. However, from the standpoint of the boat division, the battlefield should be close to the river.

"The Jing people must use witch tools to defend the Gangkok to death. How can the boat master attack behind him?" Meng Gong asked back, and one sentence made Zhao Ying extremely unhappy.

"I think..." There was still general who wanted to speak, and General Zhao Yong, the left waved his hand to interrupt him. He looked at Wei Liao and asked, "When King Jing goes north, how should the general think our army should be?"

It was all the generals and strategists who were talking, and Wang Jian had not expressed his opinion, and Wang Jian's confidant Liu Chi didn't say anything. Zhao Yong asked, and then everyone pressed their minds to look at Wang Jian, waiting for his intentions. Wang Jian saw that everyone looked at him and smiled and said, "Before the people of Jing arrived, they didn't know how many soldiers they were, and where they were in the formation, it was too early to talk about war."

"Are early?" The generals felt it was reasonable and felt something was wrong. Wang Jian said again: "If Jing people don't arrive, how can we discuss the war?"

Wang Jian just said that King Jing must go north, and now he said that the people of Jing will not come. Even Wei Liao is confused. He looked at Wang Jian incredibly, not understanding what Wang Jian was going to have. After the generals retreated, he asked him many times, but Wang Jian still refused because the people of Jing have not arrived. Fortunately, King Jing promised that the army would set up the camp and head north a few days later.

Only the land can be seen in the northeast direction of Daliang City, but that land is also divided by the Nanji River and Dan Water. The land between the two waters extends eastward, and a Qin army is stationed more than ten miles away. The northeast is like this, and the southeast crosses Honggou is the water divided from Honggou. The northeast is Dan Water, the south of Dan Water is Sui Water, and the south of Sui Water is the water. After these waterways are separated from Honggou, they all flow southward, and numerous rivers encircle Daliang to the southeast.

Muze in the southeast, Fengze in the south, and Tianze in the southwest. These places are low-lying places, and the river water drawn from the gutters is continuously poured into here. The villages, houses and fields that have been reclaimed for more than a hundred years have been flooded; in the northwest, there is a gutter that leads to the river water. It connects the Nanji and Beiji in the west of Daliang, and there are also cross ditches that run across the north and south, Nanji, Beiji, and the gutters. The waters in the northwest of Daliang are not simpler than the water system that divides the southeast into the gutter.

In simplest way, Daliang has been completely surrounded to death. Except for the King of Zhao of Wei who could use a carrier pigeon to send messages, no news could be spread out, and no news could be spread in. When Wang Jian learned that the Chu army was heading north, he did not act as a move after distinguishing the enemy situation.

Chen Ying was only two or sixty miles away from Qifeng, south of Daliang. The Chu army sailed north along the Honggu and rushed to Qifeng just three days ago. Before the army, the cavalry belonging to the army had already spread throughout the Qifeng four fields. Before Xiong Jing had arrived at the front line, the cavalry reported the movements of the Qin people.

"Wang Jian has divided his troops!" Gui Jing's report to the cavalry was confirmed several times before he reported it to Xiong Jing.

"Divide the troops?!" The generals in the shogunate led the advisers to be shocked. It was obviously a decisive battle, but why did the Qin people divide their troops again?

"Of course." Gui Jing said: "There are large marshes north of Qifeng. The Qin people did not have the prime minister in Qifeng, but only Wang Jian's palace was set up in Qifeng City."

"Divid the troops? Where will the troops go?" Ele's approach to Wang Jian was incredible.

"I don't know." Gui Jing didn't know. Although it was land west of Qifeng, it was soon the Great Wall built by Wei and Han. There were Qin soldiers garrisons on the Great Wall, and the cavalry could not cross the Great Wall to Rongyang. Even if they ventured to Rongyang, they were still south of the Great Gou and could not see the situation north of the Gou.

"Wang Jian asked me to go north to fight, but at this time he divided his troops..." This is no longer something that the scout generals could understand, it was something that the shogunate strategists considered. "Split the troops and entered Chu from the rivers to attack Shouying and Chen Ying?"

"Otherwise." Zhuang Wudi opposed. "All waters are blocked and built. How did the Qin people enter Chu, and how did they reach Shouying?"

"I can't enter Chu, or..." The crowd thought of a group of people in an instant. Even Xiong Jing knew what Wang Jian had done to divide his troops. He stared at the map and said angrily: "Wei State."

Daliang has been fully surrounded, but Wei State is not a city in Daliang. Shangcai County bordering Chu State to the west, and Dasong County bordering Lu and Song State to the east. These are all counties and towns of Wei State. Wang Jian divided his troops to occupy those places. In the past, it might be difficult to occupy these places, but now Daliang is surrounded, and Wei State has no soldiers to fight. The Chu army has lost battles again, and even the Qi people have been against the alliance and pro-Qin Qin. These places do not require many Qin troops, and the Qin army will surrender as soon as they arrive at many counties and towns.

The Wei State's county was second only to the Qin State. The King of Wei had promised to cede land. Now that the Qin army has attacked, the counties and towns have temporarily surrendered to the Qin people, and will return to the Wei State in the future. As long as the existing officials remain unchanged, the tax to the King of Wei is paid, and the tax to the King of Qin is also paid, so as to protect the territory and the people are safe.

Xiong Jing was a little angry. Wei Jiao didn't know how to speak. Wei Jianyou said anxiously: "I have ordered all counties and towns to strictly guard the cities and towns, and we should not surrender to Qin. Their families are also in Daliang. If they surrender to Qin..."

"Daliang is surrounded, how can the city know whether the county or town surrenders to Qin?" Zhuang Wudi laughed. The strategists in the tent also laughed. Everyone did not believe in the ethics of the officials, let alone the world is about to fall, and Chu State is going to build boats to avoid moving to the sea. Shouldn't these officials speculate on both sides and leave a way out for themselves?

"We will definitely know in the future!" Wei Jiao was also a fool who grew up in the deep palace, and he still thought about the future.

"In the future, the world will return to Qin, so what if you know?" Peng Zong did not shy away in front of Xiong Jing and other generals.

"The world returns to Qin..." Wei Liu stared at Peng Zong with wide eyes, then looked at Xiong Jing, looking in disbelief.

"The world is not the world. The Qin people can occupy the world, but they cannot occupy the world." Xiong Jing's expressionless face. He didn't care. He didn't care about Wang Jian's division of troops to occupy Shangcai County and Dasong County. Even if he cares, he could not stop it. In this situation, he could not separate troops to defend the city of Wei. What he is worried about now is that once the Qin army occupy Wei territory, it will directly approach Chu.

Lu and Song were dangerous, and Huaixi was also dangerous. And I could only nail here tightly, waiting for a decisive battle with the Qin army. A sense of passivity arose naturally, and the Chu army, which had always been light and sharp, would be today.

"Can you withdraw?" He looked at the counselor in the tent and asked subconsciously.

"So what can I do if I retreat?" Peng Zong shook his head. The current force must not be dispersed, and he can only gather in one place to fight Wang Jian to a decisive battle.

"Can you fight?" Xiong Jing asked again, based on the Chu people's nature.
