Eight hundred and fifty-eight chapters crazy monk (1)

The old master said that Mo Liuzi was originally surnamed Cao, and was the head of the Cao family a hundred years ago. He became the head of the Cao family and the elder of Baiwushan at the age of ten. In that era, except for the contemporary sect, Baiwushan had the highest cultivation level in the entire Baiwushan.

As for why Mo Liuzi left Baiwu Mountain and what kind of opportunity he entered Buddhism, the old master couldn't explain it clearly. He just heard that Mo Liuzi had been to Lingyan Temple a year before his disappearance. That time, Mo Liuzi lived in Lingyan Temple for more than half a month. After that, he lost interest in the power struggle of Baiwu Mountain and disappeared a year later.

After Mo Liuzi disappeared, Baiwushan activated all the forces that could be activated to find his whereabouts, but except for collecting some sporadic rumors in the world, there were almost no clues.

The old master said that after leaving Baiwu Mountain, Mo Liuzi often had a fortune teller, and most of the rumors about Mo Liuzi were also spread from him.

A hundred years ago, this fortune teller was also a famous person in the divination world, but few people knew what his real name was. People in the industry called him "Mr. Yijie". Whenever someone asked about his name, Mr. Yijie's answer was only one sentence: "It's just a man who has no name or surname." So he got the nickname "Mr. Yijie".

Mr. Yijie has told many stories about Mo Liuzi, but I don’t know if he didn’t say it in detail or if the old master didn’t listen to it all. Most of the stories sound fragmented and unfinished.

However, before Mo Liuzi went to the mouth of the Yellow River, he lived with Mr. Yijie in Laoyang Mountain. Lao Master restored the events during that period.

It is said that during that time, Mo Liuzi once encountered a spirit cat. Given that Laoyang Mountain is very close to Bohai Bay, when I heard this story, I began to doubt that perhaps the spirit cat Mo Liuzi encountered was also closely related to the black cat raised by Lao Jun.

Since the old master always talked about this past story one by one, and there was no point in it at all, it took me a lot of effort to get the whole thing clear.

To be honest, I finally understand why the old master is just good at teaching his good disciples but cannot teach him a good disciple. He will easily lose his focus after talking for a long time, and even forget what he said before, and repeat it again and again in the end, which makes people feel annoying.

By the way, the old master's cultivation has now recovered, but Yan Xiaotian said that he has also been open to it since he failed to break the barrier last time and no longer pursues great improvement in his cultivation. He has often been around Shaanxi and Gansu in recent years. Looking at the local customs and culture, he is also happy to be idle.

Okay, let’s get back to the point. Let’s talk about Mo Liuzi. The thing that Master said happened eighty years ago. I thought that Mo Liuzi should have taken Yin Yu to the mouth of the Yellow River after he met the Lingmao.

The cause of this incident was that Mo Liuzi went to Laoyang Mountain to discuss chess skills. The two of them were friends for ages and had an extraordinary relationship. They were originally discussing chess skills, but as they chatted, they talked about the customs and customs of the Laoyang Mountain area.

Mr. Yijie told Mo Liuzi that there is a custom of worshiping cats as gods in the local area. Not only do they respect cats, but many people also have the habit of raising cats. A few years ago, the village was famine, and the villagers would rather eat up all the trees on the mountain than have the idea of those cats.

After the famine passed, perhaps the cat god was grateful and moved all his disciples to Laoyang Mountain, so that there were no birds and beasts in the mountains. At night, there would be a series of sounds of cats from time to time.

Mo Liuzi also heard in his early years that some cats were born with psychics, and even some old cats who had cultivated spirits could still communicate with ghosts and gods. However, if it were to talk about cats worshipping them as gods, it was the first time he had heard of them in his life.

Mr. Yijie said that the custom of locals worshiping cats as gods began in the late Ming Dynasty. In those days, the wars were in chaos. After the army, the fertile fields turned into wasteland. The locals lost their crops and had their way out. Later, a big insect came from Laoyang Mountain. It didn't know where it got the food and distributed it to the villagers. After that, the big insect lived on the top of the mountain, and the villagers regarded it as a mountain god.

A big insect is a tiger.

Mo Liuzi was very curious and asked Mr. Yijie, since it was a tiger that saved the villagers, why did the locals worship cats instead of tigers?

Mr. Yijie said that although the thing looked like a big worm, there was a piece of tiger pattern missing on his eyebrows. The tiger had the word "king" on its head, but it did not. So some people said that the one who saved the villagers was not a big worm, but a big cat that became a sperm.

In addition, after the arrogant insects lived on the top of the mountain, they often saw cats in the local area. These cats were not afraid of people. They ran to the village to find food during the day, and at night, they all returned to the top of the mountain.

The custom of villagers worshiping cat gods only starts after the appearance of wild cats.

Speaking of which, the big cat who saved the villagers in the early years did not stay in the mountain for long. After it left, the one who came to take charge of the cat group was a black cat with jade on its head.

The cat looked smaller than the ordinary domestic cats. It was dark all over, but there was a cluster of golden retrievers on the abdomen, which grew along the neck to the tail. At night, the golden retriever could still shine, like a golden thread, and the jade on its forehead, which shone like a night pearl at night, and from a distance it looked like a third eye was opened.

I heard that during the Kangxi period, a man named Zhang Chongwu in the village met an evil spirit on the road at night and was scared to death. Later, the black cat was still sitting at the entrance of the village, calling Zhang Chongwu's soul back.

The villagers just thought the black cat was effective, but no one knew where it came from.

But the villagers didn't know where it came from, but Mr. Yijiao knew some inside story.

He is a fortune teller. He travels around the world all year round, eats around the world, and hears all the strange rumors in the world. One year he passes through the South China Sea and hears a strange thing.

It is said that in the early Ming Dynasty, a monk appeared in the South China Sea area. This old monk did not chant the Buddha's name, nor fasted like monks in temples. He wandered around the coast all day long, but did not go to beg for alms. When he was thirsty, he drank stream water. When he was hungry, he drove a small boat to the sea to fetch some sea goods to fill his stomach.

A few fishermen saw him wandering around the neighborhood all day, and out of curiosity, they asked him what he was doing. The monk told the fisherman that he was looking for a jade, and said that if he really found the jade one day, he would go to the Dragon King to pay off his debts and never come back.

After hearing what the monk said, the fisherman just thought it was strange, but no one understood what he meant.

Until one year, there were winds and waves on the sea without warning, and the fishermen did not dare to go out to sea again. They just waited for the sea to calm down day by day, but the wind and waves showed no signs of decline, but instead became more and more fierce.

Just when the storm was at the height of the storm, someone saw the monk running to the beach in panic and driving his small bamboo raft into the sea.

He ran fast, and several young men wanted to stop him, but they couldn't catch up.

The monk walked all night, and the wind and waves continued all night. The next morning, the wind and waves stopped without warning. When the fishermen were planning to pack up their fishing gear and go out to sea, they saw the monk's bamboo raft slowly float back from a distance.

Just as the monk said, once he found the jade, he would never come back. There was no monk on the bamboo raft, but there was a black cat full of darkness. On the black cat's forehead, there was a piece of jade embedded in it. From a distance, it looked like it had three eyes.

The black cat was filled with power. The people who were rushing to the sea looked at it from afar, but no one dared to get close. After the bamboo raft floated to the shore, the black cat jumped off the raft and then disappeared without a trace.

The locals have never seen the monk again, nor have they seen the black cat again, and only left such a legend in the local area.

Such an old story gradually lost its original charm as time goes by, and the locals only regard it as a rumor, and no one will verify its authenticity.

When Mr. Yijie heard this story, he didn't take it seriously. It was not until he came to the foot of Laoyang Mountain that he heard that a black cat with jade on his head appeared in this place. He felt that the story that had been circulated from the Nanhai Fishing Village was most likely true.

Mo Liuzi was a little dissatisfied with Mr. Yijie's words. Not to mention how the monk You brought such a cat back from the sea, just talking about the distance between the South China Sea and the Bohai Sea, it is more than a thousand miles. Even if this cat is magical, it is unlikely that it can travel so long with four flesh legs and run to the Laoyang Mountain to settle down.

However, he was very curious. Why did the local villagers worship cats as gods? Could it be that there are really gods on this mountain?

With this curiosity, Mo Liuzi lived in Laoyang Mountain, and he also wanted to see what was on the top of Laoyang Mountain.

Mr. Yijiao told him that if you want to explore the magic of Laoyang Mountain, you can enter the mountain in the new moon next month, and fog will appear on the mountain. If Mo Liuzi is trapped on the mountain and cannot come out, you will have the chance to see the black cat.

Although the name of Laoyang Mountain contains the word "Yang", it is actually a place with heavy yin energy. When I heard Mr. Yijie's words, Mo Liuzi understood that the fog in the new moon means that there is something unclean on the mountain. The so-called "trapped on the mountain" should mean that when the fog in the mountains, you may encounter ghosts and hit walls.

Mr. Yijie made a living by divination and fortune-telling, but he had no Taoism. He only knew that Mo Liuzi was a wild monk with all kinds of food, but he didn't know that he still had cultivation.

Mo Liuzi was probably thinking that he had come anyway, so he just went into the mountain to take a look at it in the new moon and cleaned up the evil spirits on the mountain, which was also accumulating merit for himself.

But what he never dreamed of was that he could not break the ghosts on the mountain to hit the wall, and in the end he relied on the black cat to help him.
