In order to ensure the elimination of the influence of periodic boundary conditions on the calculation results, Shen Qi added 15 vacuum layer above lsmo, and the calculated lattice constant in-plane of STO is 3.88.

According to the first principle calculation, Shen Qi found that the change in the sr doping amount can effectively regulate the internal polarization field of the lsmo cover layer and realize the metal-insulator transformation at the Lao/sto interface.

"The positive and negative ions in the lao layer are significantly suppressed due to the electron reconstruction offsetting its internal electric field. In this way, the polarization catastrophe mechanism seems to be more convincing." Shen Qi left the simulation software after saving it. After looking at these structural diagrams and energy level distribution diagrams for a long time, he felt that his eyes were very painful.
