Act 270: Natural Dragon Soul(1/2)

Mattry fixed the last nail on the sign, raised the claw hammer and hit it, then leaned back and looked it up and down.

In the sunset, the gears and the Magic Book are no longer as new as they were when it was established, full of scratches, wear, and even a few cracks. Just like this street in the twilight, it witnessed the construction, prosperity of Ayon Bullock, and then ended in time.

Now it has become a part of the forgotten city-

Mattry still remembers coming here when he was young, but now his cheeks are covered with stubble, wrinkles climb up the corners of his cheeks, getting married, having family and children, becoming an integral part of the hotel. He held the hammer and climbed down the ladder, and suddenly felt something in his heart, turned around and looked back.

Between the old buildings, the stone slabs laid on the avenue are bumpy. It has only rained recently and shone in the sunset, like a mirror. Pedestrians on the street are stopping and looking in that direction. Under the red clouds, the tall lion knight is carrying the big sword on his shoulder and standing at the intersection of the street.

Behind him was a line of knights in grey robes.

The Elf Miss between them.

Later, Fang Zhu, Silmide, Luo Yu, Jita, Luo Hao, Box, and the Paparal people, Miss May were all among them. Except for the sky blue, everyone in the Seven Seas Brigade was here, and even Miss Tata sat quietly on the shoulders of her knight.

Baggins and Shesta were hanging behind everyone.

But what Mattry looked at was the girl in the crowd.

The girl's hands overlapped nervously, standing between the crowd with a little restrained attitude, holding the old faded magician robe. She was wearing a fair and small face, holding a pair of plain black-framed glasses, and her figure looked a little weak due to malnutrition.

"Leila?" A pedestrian called out first. The man's face first showed a look of surprise, and then quickly turned into surprise. His eyes quickly swept across everyone behind Leila one by one, and he couldn't help but add: "Leila, are you back?"

After more than a month of separation.

The girl returned to this place again, looking at everything familiar here, looking at the old, weathered signs of the gears and magic books, she felt a little dizzy and unreality. The unreality was not a fear, but a feeling of being close to home.

That night, when everyone here stood up for her.

In her heart, she had already regarded this place as her only home in this city.

A figure rushed out of the hotel, like a flash of lightning, and crashed into Laila's arms, causing her to take a step back. She could only let the other party hug her tightly.

It was a petite girl with long dark hair, raised her head and looked at Laila with worry. Her beautiful face had the typical characteristics of an imperialist, a flat forehead, a high nose bridge, and a deep outline of her eyes.

Fang Rong knew this girl. They met in the workshop of Gu Jin's family. The girl was named Brita, an imperialist, and was a friend of Laila's in the Magician Academy.

"Leira! You're finally back," Brita couldn't help saying, "Do you know how worried I'm these days? How could you get into those things, those people in the Seven Magic Family, and even my father is not easy to interfere in this matter!"

"I'm back, Brita, I'm back," Layla's eyes also looked a little red, "Thanks to everyone, and to Mr. Ed and the others."

The big cat man put his big sword down from his shoulder and smiled slightly after hearing this.

"That's great, great," Brita said repeatedly. She looked at Fang Zhu and her group with some gratitude and nodded politely to everyone, "Thank you, thank you for saving Laila. I almost thought I would never see her again."

She said, her voice choked.

"Thank you too, Miss Brita," Fang Rong nodded to her. The girl's family is well off. She has been exerting influence on Aiyin Bullock through her family these days. Although the level is not as high as the Seven Magic Family, she has also helped them a lot, either openly or secretly.

Leila has a good friend.

Although she was alone in this city, she finally gained the sympathy and love of many people with her sincerity.

Including the pedestrian, after listening to the conversation between the people, he couldn't help but turn around and run to the other end of the long alley with excitement, so he fell down halfway. But he patted the dust on his body and got up, shouting to the people while running:

"Leila is back! Everyone, Leila and the others are back!"

"Everyone is back!"

Many people looked in this direction unexpectedly, and some even opened the window, with their eyes, curious and kind-hearted - but mostly kind-hearted. People looked at Fang Yu in surprise, looked at the Big Cat Man and the Knights behind him, while greeting Laila with kindness.

"Lyra, are you back?"

"Leira, you're fine, I've heard of yesterday's trial, too."

"Lyra, the Book Knights think you are innocent?"

"That's great, it's a testimony of all the holy people."

People gathered around.

Lela was both at a loss and touching.

She never thought that in this strange place, there were so many people caring about her affairs. During Aiyin Bullock's detention, although the existence of Fang Zhu, Ming and Virus prevented her from being abused, she spent every day without exception in endless anxiety.

She looked at everyone present and every face.

Although some of those people may not really empathize with her, they are here, perhaps just because they are also weak and a forgotten corner of the city, and share the same hatred for those high-ranking masters.

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! But the truth that appeared in the eyes, the sincerity of standing side by side with her, suddenly penetrated the girl's already fragile defense.

For some reason, Laila felt her glasses were foggy. She just lifted them up with her hands and wiped them gently. The tears rolled down.

"Thanks……"

"Thank you everyone."

Fang Yu looked at this scene silently.

He raised his head again and looked at the big cat man beside him.

Reed was stroking the ring on his braided mane with his claws, and scratching every erosion mark on the copper ring with his snow-white nails. He noticed Fang Zhu's gaze and looked at the latter with his gray eyes.

Marland once warned her knights to pursue justice in their actions—

But as the truth pursued by the pioneers, the spirit that shines above the star gate. Someone once asked him, what is the meaning of all this?

The sun is disappearing.

The wind blew down the night, and the wind came from the Four-Leaf Grass Plain. Through this timeless city, the evening breeze was raising the mane behind the Lion Knight.

The big cat man raised his head and stared at the sky that turned from red to deep purple. He raised his paws and the other pilova made a listening position.

The wind will tell everything-

Fang Zhu nodded slightly.

But the wind on the wasteland may not be able to answer questions.

An answer was received at this moment.

The crowd automatically split into a way, allowing the teary girl to see Pusher, Mattri and Rosa who appeared after that. The old businessman was looking at each of them, Mattri and Rosa stood behind him.

The chubby Rosa held her heart in her hands and was looking at her with concern.

But the old businessman just looked at Fang Ling, "You are back."

Fang Zhu nodded.

"We are back, Mr. Push."

As agreed.

“Welcome back.”

...

"cheers!"

The hotel was endless all night, flames rose from the furnace, and the bright flames were mounted on the grill, and the barbecue with honey made a zip sound on the fire, dripping oil downwards, occasionally falling on the firewood, and immediately bursting into a bright spark, making a 'crackling' sound.

People raised their wine glasses and shouted again, "Cheers!" The sound shocked the hotel's sky guardrail, but no one cared about it. Someone was holding the piano and playing a small tune. The drunk neighbors were walking and singing, "Sing another song for Little Laila!"

People are coaxing.

The cheering turned into laughter. In the eyes of these people living in the old city, this may not be just a carnival, but also a celebration of their victory over the big men in the upper city.

A victory that is almost impossible to come by—

Because everyone understands that it would be almost impossible for them to have the opportunity to celebrate this hard-won victory if it weren't for Fang Ling and his party. They might not even see Leila again, and the day when the Gears and Magic Books are opened again.

Although that was just a very ordinary thing that had happened over many days for this urban area. They were just living carefully, day after day, it was impossible for those high-ranking figures to look at this forgotten corner.

The intersection of the two often means misfortune.

They are like dust floating above the city, an inconspicuous part on a huge machine, one day they will grow old and be replaced, but no one cares about that person, or even notices that person has existed. Apart from each other, no one cares about their names, who they are, where they once belong, whose family, and whose everything.

The little people shouted together, venting their unhappiness or pleasure in their hearts. The well-informed people had already found out about what happened in that judgment and knew that they had won this time, and that they were still an amazing big man.

An empire owl eagle.

Fang Ling sat alone in the corner of the hotel, watching all this silently, staring at the bonfire rising outside the hotel, and watching people singing and dancing. He picked up a wooden wine glass that was almost as big as his head, took a sip, and the bitter aftertaste of the ale almost frowned.

The next moment I couldn't help but cough.

Of course, there is no bonfire party on weekdays in the old square there, but now the people who inspected the guards know who is in this place and will not come to cause trouble for them, so they only treat it as invisible.

"If you can't drink, don't pretend to be able to drink," the big cat man took the cup out of his hand, took a big sip, and shook his head, "I'm a waste, this wine is good."

"Is that good? Cough cough," Fang Yu asked twice, "I just feel bitter."

"Little boy still wants to learn from adults," Reed looked at him and shook his head. "If a little boy wants to grow up, he still needs to go through many storms. After experiencing those strong storms, you will naturally taste a lot of flavors from it. What is accumulated in time is bitterness, but it has endless aftertaste. Those beauty in the downs and downs will only be understood after you have experienced all that."

Fang Zhu looked at the big cat man curiously.

His encounter with Reed, Aitela, Tianlan and others was just a coincidence, and now it is time to part. In a flash, more than two years have passed, and the little bits and pieces of memory have now turned into trickles of the journey and flowed in his heart.

He found that he actually didn't know the Big Cat Man, nor did he know the Elf Miss. "Has Mr. Reed been in a downfall?"

"Everyone has times of downs and outs," the big cat man put down his wine glass, took out his pipe, rubbed it with a flint to knock out Mars, fell into it, and then picked up the pipe, but it did not hold it in his mouth, but said, "It's just that people are proud and don't say anything easily. After experiencing those losses, people will grow up quickly."

He held the pipe in his paws, and seemed to remember something for a moment, and remained silent for a moment.

Fang Yu was also silent.
