Chapter 1 The Flood
Zuli was awakened by the alarm clock at 7:40.
I just woke up and was still a little confused, my head ached. I reached out and picked up my phone from the bedside table, turned off the alarm clock, felt a little anxious, and got up from the bed.
"I drank high again last night, so I can't drink like this again in the future."
Zuli felt dry mouth and tongue, and felt uncomfortable as if there was a fire in his throat.
Last night, he accompanied an important customer. In order to sign the order, dinner, KTV, and late-night snacks, he couldn't stand it even though he had a good alcohol tolerance.
After drinking, I secretly went to the bathroom to pick my throat and spit it out. When I came back, I continued to drink. After drinking like this, I vomited and drank, and finally got drunk and couldn't even remember how I got home.
"Oh, I'm drinking again." Su Li felt dizzy and sighed deep in her heart that life is not easy, and it's not easy to work alone in other places.
I sat up from the bed, and just put on my slippers, I found that my shoes were wet.
"Hmm? Why is the ground so wet?" Zuli suddenly woke up for most of his time and hurriedly stood up.
Could it be that I got drunk last night and turned on which faucet was not turned off, but the water flooded out and flooded the ground?
Seeing that the ground was full of dampness, Zuli was busy checking the kitchen and bathroom and confirming that there was no water leakage.
"Strange, I didn't see any leaks. Why is the ground so wet, as if it was flooded? Could it be that the water pipes in some places were broken? But I'm already on the top floor, and it's impossible for me to leak from the upstairs. It's really troublesome. Should I ask the master to check it out or contact the landlord directly? Forget it, let's talk about it when I come back from get off work."
Zu Li shook his head and felt a little big. He was the person who was most afraid of trouble.
This is the house he rented. The building has thirty floors in total. The one he rented is located on the top floor of the building.
Looking at the time, it was almost seven or fifty. He had to go to work at 8:30, and it was about twenty minutes' drive from here to take the bus to his work company.
He didn't dare to take it anymore and was busy brushing his teeth and washing his face.
Because I slept too late last night, my eyes were still swollen. When I was washing my face, I covered my eyes with a towel. It took me ten seconds to take it off. At this time, I felt much more comfortable and my spirits were recovering.
Take off the towel, turn your head and see that the gap between the bathroom window next to you with opaque cellophane is relatively small, reach out and push the window, and open it completely.
Looking out the window, Zuli's eyelids suddenly jumped.
"This...this is..."
Su Li's pupils dilated, she hurriedly stretched her head out, looked outside the window, and took a breath of air conditioning.
From the window, there was a sparkling water outside, and except for the water, tall buildings, roads, and vehicles, all of them were invisible.
"How is this possible?"
Su Li couldn't help but scream, his heart pounding, and immediately closed his eyes and trembled slightly all over.
"I must have covered my eyes with a towel for too long just now, and I had hallucinations." Su Li thought silently in her heart, rubbed her eyes again, and then opened her eyes again.
Outside the window, there was still water surface, and he even saw a blue plastic slipper floating on the water surface not far away.
With a "bang", this time, Zuli suddenly closed the window tightly, a chill broke out in his heart, and rushed out of the bathroom. Because he rushed too fast, his toes kicked the door frame on one side, causing cold sweat to spread on his forehead.
Just because he didn't bother to see if his toes were injured, Su Li limped to the balcony and opened the curtains on the balcony. Then, he stood by the balcony as if he was dumbfounded, his whole body was stiff, his heart was beating violently, and his hands were trembling slightly.
Through the row of windows on the balcony, Zuli finally saw it thoroughly.
The city he could see was completely submerged and the city became a vast and boundless water surface.
On the water surface, you can only see some scattered buildings coming out of nowhere.
All these buildings that are exposed to the water are over thirty floors, and below thirty floors are flooded by water.
The building where Zuli lives is exactly thirty floors, and only the top floor where he lives is exposed outside the water. From the twenty-ninth floor down, all of them were flooded.
"This is impossible...I must be dreaming!"
Although Su Li is already twenty-seven years old and has experienced two years of social beatings and is still mature in her mind, she is still full of fear at this moment and cannot accept everything her eyes see. He pinched his left arm hard.
He pinched him very hard, and a large piece of his arm immediately blushed, causing him to take a deep breath of air conditioning.
This severe pain and the real feeling in front of him made him realize that everything he saw in front of him was definitely not a dream, nor could it be an illusion at all.
His chaotic brain slowly calmed down a little, and he looked down at the wet ground.
Could it be that this is the real reason for the moisture on the ground?
After I fell asleep drunk last night, the city was really flooded?
But if such a huge flood suddenly occurred, how could there be no movement? Or did I sleep too heavily because I was drunk and didn't hear anything?
Soon Zuli thought of something, opened the door, came to the corridor, and was busy slapping the door of the next resident.
In addition to him, there are two other residents in this unit. Zuli is not familiar with them. He only knows that the person living next door is a fashionable young girl. She has moved here for a short time and is only about two or three months old.
Because the two sides have similar hours to get off work, they encounter a lot of times, but they have never spoken.
Most of the time I saw her alone, and occasionally I could see her taking the boy home with her, but he met her three times, and the boys she brought with her three times were different.
"Hey, are you at home?"
Zu Li ignored the politeness and slapped the door so loudly, but no one responded.
Seeing that there was no response, Zuli rushed down the corridor to another resident's door.
He remembered that there was a young couple living here, raising a very noisy Chihuahua.
He was about to knock on the door when he suddenly realized that the door was not closed, but was hidden.
"Is anyone at home?" Zuli paused for a few seconds, and when he saw no one responded, he pushed the door open.
The door was pushed open by him, and the living room he saw was messy, with two pairs of shoes beside the shoe cabinet at the door.
One pair is men's leather shoes and the other is women's high-root shoes. One of them is turned over and the sole is facing upwards.
The trash can on one side was poured on the ground, and the garbage inside was spilled out.
