Chapter 9 Copper Sheets

I ignored Su's last words. At that time, I didn't have much interest and knew what was happening behind Su. I just smiled perfunctorily at him.

While waiting for midnight, Su fell into a coma. I felt that he had fallen asleep first and then turned to a coma. When I saw that the time was about the same, he was already unconscious when he pushed him.

I carried him to the yard. The big bird was gone, the gate was open, and the street lights in the distance found the streets that were bleak in the middle of the night.

I came outside the yard, where there were no nightclubs or food stalls. There were cars on both sides of the road, and all shops along the street were closed. Because I wanted to be a tourist area at that time, many big trees around the old house were protected, all of them were paulownia trees, and the road was covered with fallen leaves.

I kept following the road with Su on my back, walking in the shadows. I didn't have a penny on me, nor had a cell phone, so I could only take a ride. I didn't dare to ask the police for help, after all, an explosion just happened here, and I couldn't tell what was going on.

When I walked to a lively place, I ordered a black three-wheeler and rode all the way to my home. My family was in an old building at the urban-rural fringe. It used to be a school family building here. Later, when the teacher had money, he went out to buy commercial houses. These rooms were rented out one after another, and N rooms were out, and many people lived. They all slept at night. Only some elderly people would have insomnia and would open the door and stare at the corridor. I ignored them and took Su directly to my room and kicked the door open-all-up--there was only one bag anyway--and went in and paid the money to the driver of the black car.

I put Su on the bed, lit a cigarette myself, calmed down for a while, and remembered many scenes of movies. I first fed a basin of hot water and treated myself for my wounds.

I only had 231 yuan and 4 cents of deposit. I touched Su's whole body and found a small bag with some strange copper tablets inside. I didn't have a penny. I sighed. Taking all my wealth, I went to the pharmacy downstairs to buy bandages and hydrogen peroxide. I came up to disinfect and bandage my wounds, and then treated Su's wounds.

Our wounds were almost the same, and they didn't look fatal. Some explosive glass and rubble were penetrated into Su's body. I picked it out with a toothpick, but it didn't hurt my muscles and bones. After bandaging, he fell asleep deeply.

Then I went downstairs myself, stir-fry a bowl of dried noodles on the roadside cart for lunch, went back to my room, spread a mat on the ground and fell asleep.

I slept until the sun was noon and woke up by the sound of oil.

When I got up, I saw Su Bu on the bed. When I walked out, the neighbors here were cooking in the corridor, while the kerosene stove next to Su Yi was cooking. It was braised tofu.

I looked at my room, which was only 9 square meters with a squat toilet and bathing. I bought a second-hand computer desk from an Internet cafe, and the computer was also second-hand. A bookshelves were full of second-hand books, so I love reading books, with a bunch of martial arts novels and online novels.

I don’t have a table or stool for eating. I usually sit in front of the computer desk and eat some fried noodles. The ashtray made of a bottle of Eight Treasure Porridge, and the cigarette butts inside are almost stacked.

Anyway, it was a mess, but I didn't think there was any problem. Most single men were like this. But now when I looked around for a week, I found that my bookshelf had been sorted out. The order of the books inside was rearranged. I read it from the first book in the past and found that it was rearranged according to the initials.

Then I found that my clothes were also sorted out, but not all of them were stacked to form a system, but became two piles, one of which only had four or five pieces of clothes, underwear and socks, and the other clothes were all thrown in the corner.

The dishes outside were all ready, and the neighbor asked me to go to dinner, saying that the young man voluntarily cooked and changed to two pairs of chopsticks. My relationship with my neighbor was quite cold, because I was active at night and couldn't see him when I slept during the day. The kid actually got along with others on the first morning of the day, which made me feel a little uncomfortable.

I sat down. The place used a folding table. It was full of three or four dishes. The dishes were simple. However, Su's craftsmanship was here. The aroma of braised tofu made my index finger move. I took a few bites of the rice and said to Su: "Brother, the medicine and bandage on you are totally 84 yuan, you have to return it to me. And if you live here, you have to count the room for a few days."

Su ate very little, and sat upright and looked at me, "You are very poor, huh?"

"I live in a slum, you live in Lanruo Temple, you are not qualified to laugh at me." I sneered.

Su Jiao said, "I said before, if you save me, I will definitely make you make some money. I will do what I say."

I sneered and thought to myself that you don’t have a penny on you, you’re awesome. But I don’t want to argue, but I saw him handing me a piece of copper that I found from him before.

"You take this thing and go to any branch-level bank. If it has counter No. 4, go to counter No. 4 and give him this copper piece, without saying anything."

I looked at Su, Su looked at me: "I know you don't believe me. Go and try it. You won't lose anything. At most, people will be called crazy. In order not to have misunderstandings, I will help you pick out one out of your clothes. If you wear that clothes, people will not suspect that you are qualified to own this thing."

I picked up the copper sheet and looked carefully. There were many patterns on the copper sheet, and I couldn't tell the reason.

"What is this?" I asked him. He smiled without saying a word.

After dinner, I took this copper piece and walked to find a bank with the bank at counter No. 4, which was quite far away. I also took three bus stops. After getting off the bus, I stood at the bank gate for a while and walked in.

I remembered the thing that asked me to pretend to be a monkey. What this person said was weird and interesting, but he was not a nonsense person who made fun of others. So I still believed him.

I told the front desk that I wanted to apply for a card, filled in the information, and waited at the location. I stood up and wanted to give up several times, but I held back.

Until I waited until I was afraid to sit opposite the No. 4 counter. The bank staff was a pretty girl and tried hard to squeeze out a smile.

I pushed the copper plate over in the intercom grid, she snatched it with her hands and picked it up. Then, she raised her eyes and looked at me. She picked up the phone next to her without saying a word and said a few words softly.

I felt a little embarrassed, and felt that her eyes were a little weird, thinking that she had gone to call the security guard. The little girl put down the phone and I saw her hands trembling. "Mr. Su, your box has expired for 70 years. Are you sure you want to withdraw it now? The withdrawal now, the interest for so many years will be invalid."

"How many years will interest?" I asked in a sneaky puzzlement.

"Mr. Su, this box was deposited more than 200 years ago."

I raised my eyebrows and looked up at the bank's logo. More than two hundred years ago, the People's Republic of China had not been established, so where did your bank come from? But I didn't dare to ask too much. I knew that instead of asking her, it would be better to go back and ask Su. So I nodded.
