613 Company Ecology (Part 2)

Jiang Zhihan looked at his watch and it was still a while before he usually had time to eat. He didn't bring anything today, and he was bored sitting there, so he got up and went to get a bottle of Coke. He talked with Susan for several hours, and his throat was almost smoking. There was a pile of mineral water and Dr. Pepper left in the refrigerator on the third floor, but there was no bottle of Coke. When he was free, he took the stairs down to the second floor.

There is an area on each floor of the company, which provides free drinks and food, including coffee maker and microwave, and employees who bring meals can come to heat it. As soon as they walked to the vicinity, they heard someone speak loudly in kind Chinese.

The man said, "What does Wang Xiaoer mean to celebrate the New Year? Every year is worse than that. At this time of the year before yesterday, Chinese food and dinner were free. We worked overtime every day, and we ate very well. At this time last year, there were no free meals, and there were still a lot of drinks and snacks. Now, not only did we eat, no snacks, only a few drinks left, but we were often out of stock. I told you that even the notebook and ballpoint pen that ** went to get the day before yesterday were several times lower than before. Last month, I went on a business trip to Texas, and I only signed up for three nights of accommodation. I asked me to finish at six o'clock and take a late-night flight, otherwise I would take care of myself. Tell me, what kind of world is this?"

Listening to the nagging that seemed to be bringing some Beijing movies, Jiang Zhihan couldn't help but feel a little kind. He slowed down a little.

Someone answered: "Cost control, cost control... I don't understand anymore. How much cost can a few bottles of water be controlled!"

The person who spoke with some Beijing movies said, "Nonsense... I tell you, there are not a hundred or eighty people in this company who only pay for money but don't work. You have to control costs and fire them all, and kill pigs every day to give everyone enough food!"

His friend lowered his voice, "Hey, you think we are the only ones here who understand Chinese!"

The man said, "Turn, I'm afraid of a ball!"

Jiang Zhihan was standing there, unable to think about moving forward and backward. Two Chinese-looking people had already turned out from the corner, and he naturally smiled and nodded.

When passing by, the tall man suddenly asked, "Why haven't you seen you? Which department are you from?" He spoke in standard Chinese.

Jiang Zhihan stopped and replied with a smile: "I just came here, come to be an intern."

The man opened his mouth, "Is he here just today?"

Jiang Zhihan nodded, "Yes."

His companion wore a cultural shirt that was released when the company's product was released, and his hair was combed neatly. "Did you just recruited intern?" he asked, as if he was anxious.

Jiang Zhihan was a little surprised. I don’t know why someone expressed his confusion about the company recruiting him as a small intern for the second time today.

He nodded and said, "Yes, my name is Jiang Zhihan."

The tall, short-haired man said, "Haha, I met him on the first day. My name is Xia Chenglong, from Hebei. Where is your hometown?"

Jiang Zhihan couldn't help but feel happy. It turned out that there were also many unreserved comrades here...

Sitting on the chair, Jiang Zhihan looked around. At noon, it was the best time for this Chinese beef noodle restaurant to do business. The waiter held a big noodle bowl and ran to serve the dishes quickly. Thirty tables were already full of people.

Sitting opposite him were colleagues from the company he met just an hour ago, Xia Chenglong and Fang Siqi. During the time before the meal, everyone had exchanged basic information, hometown, occupation, university, and so on.

Xia Chenglong seemed to be a very generous northerner, and he had a feeling of falling out of the past with Jiang Zhihan. He introduced the company's products and history to Jiang Zhihan in detail, and he inevitably complained about the current reduction in various treatments.

Jiang Zhihan asked him modestly, "The company's finances are very tight now?"

Xia Chenglong drank a loud sip of soup and solved his Zhang Fan. He wiped his mouth casually with a napkin and said, "I tell you that companies like ours are mainly operated by V (VC) money. I heard that this round of V money cycle is coming soon, and we are going to raise the next round now. I think, we probably have a difficult time."

Jiang Zhihan raised his eyebrows. Fang Siqi, who was sitting next to him, seemed to give Xia Chenglong a warning look, but he didn't pay any attention.

Xia Chenglong threw down the napkin and said, "I, Lao Fang, why did we come to this small company? Isn't it just to wait for it to go public to make a fortune? Let's tell you, in terms of stability and salary, we go to HP, Microsoft, or Orale, which is not better than here? But it can't compare with the options given here. If it goes public and rises, pats my butt, I can retire and enjoy life." He clapped his hands vigorously, with light in his eyes.

Fang Siqi shook her head and said, "I've been here more than a year later than you, and I can't compare to the amount you get."

Xia Chenglong shook his hand and said to himself: "What are you afraid of? What is you afraid of is that before you can go public, the company is closed, which means you will lose your wife and your soldiers." He leaned on the back of the chair and burped, "But, if you want to get rich, it is inevitable to take some risks, what do you think?"

Jiang Zhihan said tentatively: "The company is still recruiting interns, not like it is about to close the door."

Xia Chenglong clapped his hands, "Haha, that's it, that's why we think it's a great benefit when we see you."

Fang Siqi poured cold water on the side, "Actually, it's hard to say. I know several companies that were still recruiting people a lot a week before closing down. The key is whether V's money can be in place."

Jiang Zhihan asked: "How is the company's products sold?"

Xia Chenglong said: "We are not very clear about this. But I heard from people that there are better customers now, but many of them are still in the trial period and do not pay, or pay a little money. The key to our products is not this hammer transaction, and long-term management and maintenance costs account for the majority."

Looking at Fang Siqi, he waved his hand with a little vigor, "You don't have to worry about this and that all day long. It's like buying a lottery ticket. If you can't win, let's change to another one. Now is the golden age of our engineers, and no one wants to go wherever you go?" He laughed, "I know what you are worried about? When you arrived at RMH, your wife would talk about you, aren't you? I'm afraid that you will be chanted to death if you don't make a fortune when you go home?... Tell, women are short-sighted! There is no risk in doing anything? Staring at the 10,000 or 20,000 yuan, you will always be dead..."

The three of them drove out to have lunch. When they went back, Xia Chenglong first put Fang Siyi in another building in the company, and he had a meeting there in the afternoon.

Back at the company's parking lot, Xia Chenglong turned off the fire and said, "Xiao Jiang, I think you are much more mature than you."

Jiang Zhihan laughed.

Xia Chenglong patted his shoulder, "I am a man, just look at this first impression when you look at people. If you come to work, I will advise you to make second-hand preparations early. But you are just a worker, and the department you work in should be more informative than ours. If there is any news, don't forget to tell me, I'll prepare early."

Jiang Zhihan raised his eyebrows, "But... I'm here... the company is really that bad?"

Xia Chenglong pursed his lips, "Lao Fang always doesn't believe me. Let me tell you that there is a Vietnamese woman in the sales department who has a unclear relationship with a vice president in charge of sales. I heard by chance that she is looking for a job everywhere recently. What does this mean? It means that people with internal news are preparing for the way out."

Jiang Zhihan smiled, "You have so much experience, but you don't have to worry about not being able to find your next home."

Xia Chenglong said: "That's the case, but it's always good to prepare early. Think about it, at this closing, two hundred engineers will enter the market all at once, which will always increase competition, right?"

Jiang Zhihan gave him a short promise, "Well, if I happen to hear some news, I will definitely communicate with you first."

In his heart, he shouted. He ran to Silicon Valley thousands of miles away. First, Ni Shang transferred to Zhida University. Now, even the company that just started working on the first day is on the verge of closing.

What luck is this? He thought a little funny.
