Chapter 532: Abu's Story
Abu tried to escape, but was blocked by layers of fishing nets. The fishermen began to raise small boats and lean over. A harpoon suddenly stabbed a dolphin next to Abu. It was his family. He watched his family be dragged by the fishermen, then stabbed it into his stomach with a sickle and pulled it onto the boat.
In Abu's perception, humans have always been friends of dolphins, his best friend Sarah, who gather in that dolphin every year, but why do these people hunt them?
Abu swam hard in fear and wanted to cross the layers of fishing nets, but to no avail. Dolphins were caught by fishermen on board, and the blood left by the dolphins dyed the bay red.
A fisherman finally reached out to Abu. Abu dodged, but was stabbed into his abdomen. Abu was suddenly stuck in his stomach. A long hole was opened. He struggled hard, churning in the sea, slapped the fishing fins to escape.
In the end, Abu dried up his blood, finally lost his strength, and slowly sank to the bottom of the sea.
The next year, Sarah and her husband and children came to Dolphin Island to see their friend Abu again, but the whole holiday was over, and Sarah did not see Abu. Didn't Abu return to Dolphin Island this year?
After returning to the Ocean Institute, Sarah turned on the tracker and followed Abu's traces. She found the tracker that represented Abu, but it was on a beach in Japan.
Sarah and her husband flew to Japan and came to the small fishing village of Taidi Town. But what they saw was all hanging dolphin meat and whale meat. Sarah's face was pale at once.
It was another year of hunting season. According to the tracker in hand, Sarah came to Dolphin Bay, Taidi Town. When they saw the scene of Dolphin Bay, they were completely shocked because a large number of dolphins were being hunted and killed, and then dragged onto a fishing boat to send ashore. The entire bay was full of red, and the color of the sea water was like plasma. As the waves kept rolling, it turned into a sea of blood.
"Abu" Sarah burst into tears.
He ran to the beach and found the actual location of the tracker, but he did find the tracker in the pile of rocks on the coast. Looking at the traces of seaweed on the tracker, he had been here for a long time.
Sarah knew that Abu, in fact, had already died.
But when he saw these fishermen still catching dolphins frantically, she felt an incomparable thrill. Sarah shouted loudly: "Don't kill, don't kill again," she cried while crying.
Hearing her shouts, the Japanese fishermen surrounded and began to expel Sarah and his wife. Later, in order to protect Sarah, Sarah's husband was beaten by the fishermen. The blood left in his nose dripped into the sea water and merged with the blood of the dolphins. It was impossible to tell that it was human blood, that it was dolphin's blood.
The story ends here.
Sarah cried and saw the last one, and even the guy Kyle was secretly blinking.
"You give me some advice and see where to improve it." Mu Yang asked.
"What is the name of the film you are going to shoot? Are Sarah and the Dolphin?" Kyle asked.
"No, I'm going to call him 'Abu's Story', the protagonist is the dolphin named Abu." Mu Yang said.
"Why is it a tragedy? Can't Abu escape?" Sarah resisted the final result.
"Because this is a fact, every year when dolphins migrate and travel through the Japanese Strait, they will encounter such hunting. Every year, 30,000 to 40,000 dolphins are treated like Abu, and Abu is just a representative." Mu Yang said.
"Boss, if you want to make money from this movie, then I guess you will lose all your money." Kyle said.
Mu Yang smiled: "Kyle, I never thought of making money by making movies. If I wanted to make money, I felt that looting a bank would be easier than making movies."
"Oh, head, have you had the idea of robbing the bank recently?" Kyle's eyes lit up.
"No, I just want to shoot this documentary now, and let people know what the dolphins are going on, and let people stop catching dolphins and whales. As for the others, I have no interest for the time being." Mu Yang said.
Kyle was a little disappointed, but he still gave his own advice: "I think there are too many feelings about Sarah and the dolphin. If it is too long, people will be interested in it. Perhaps people will not see it later and will give up watching."
"So I plan to compress the previous shot to about 15 to 20 minutes, and only show the feelings between humans and dolphins. It's good that dolphins are friends of humans, and then there's a 5-minute migration, and then the killing process. This part is the longest, about 40 minutes, and it must be delicate. Then it's a 10-minute introduction to the current situation and experience of dolphins and whales and the fact that they may become extinct in the future. The whole film is about 70 to 80 minutes." Mu Yang explained.
"Human shots are easy to shoot, but what to do with dolphins? I heard that directing animal shooting is the most troublesome," Sarah asked.
"I will solve this, I will find a dolphin that is better than a human actor. By the way, Sarah, are you willing to be the Sarah in the story?" Mu Yang asked.
Sarah said in surprise: "I am a movie actor, I can't perform." Sarah quickly shook her head and refused.
"This is a documentary, and it is impossible to require acting like a feature film." When Mu Yang wrote the script, he thought about letting Sarah play, otherwise why would his name be Sarah?
"Is it really OK? Can I be an actor?" It seems that Sarah is already a little moved.
Mu Yang looked at Kyle and Sarah with a slightly serious face and said, "Kyle, Sarah, I may have to devote myself to the animal protection activity in the next period of time, or for a long time, so I want to ask for your opinions. After all, we are a team and we are partners."
Seeing Mu Yang's expression serious, Kyle and Sarah also became solemn and heard what Mu Yang said.
"If you do animal protection with me, I naturally welcome you. If you want to go out and make a fortune on your own, I will never stop you. After all, everyone has their own way of life, and I don't have the right to decide what you should do."
After Mu Yang finished speaking, he looked at the two of them.
"I want to follow you, no matter what you do." Sarah immediately expressed her opinion after Mu Yang finished speaking.
