629 The Balance of the British Empire Is there any more?

Chang Ruiqing was wearing pajamas and lay in his bedroom of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, quietly looking through a thick minutes of the talks. Although the negotiations between Britain, Germany and China were very difficult and the UK always lacked the necessary sincerity and vision, there were many consensuses between China and Germany. During several meetings between Chang Ruiqing and Hitler, the two sides reached a series of secret or public agreements.

First of all, the two countries share the same view on the issue of post-war interests. China should restore its dominance in the Eastern world since ancient times and establish a huge federal state including East Siberia, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. Germany has the right to achieve territorial expansion in Central and Eastern Europe. If possible, Germany can even push its eastern border to the Ural Mountains or to somewhere more east!

Secondly, Chang Ruiqing and Ludendolf, the chief of the General Staff of the German Wehrmacht, also found a common view on the strategy of fighting against the Soviet Union. Both of them were ruthless executioners, and both believed that there was only one way to defeat the Soviet Union, which was to kill the Soviets! Kill more Soviets! Only after fully consuming the Soviet Union's biological forces on the battlefields on the east and west sides can we consider the issue of grabbing territory. Otherwise, once China and Germany have too many territories, Britain, France, and the United States are likely to support the Soviet Union in order to curb China and Germany! If the Soviet Union had sufficient vitality to consume at that time, China and Germany were likely to face an endless war of attrition, and they might face the dilemma of being attacked from both sides.

Again, China and Germany finally reached an agreement on the post-war world pattern, and both agreed to maintain the status of the British Empire as much as possible. The British Empire is nothing more than a weak world hegemon and does not pose any threat to China and Germany. It might as well maintain its position temporarily to curb the United States, the number one industrial power, and until China and Germany have the strength to replace it.

Finally, of course, is the timetable for launching a full-scale attack on Russia. Hitler and Rudendolf believed that the Soviet Union would lose more than 600,000 troops every month, and in 12 months the Soviet Union's biological forces should be close to exhaustion. The spring of 1934 should be the time when China and Germany launched a full-scale attack, and strive to eliminate the Soviet empire in 6 months! Chang Ruiqing's opinion should be more conservative. He believed that the Soviet system determined that their mobilization ability would be far exceeding China and Germany. The upper limit of the Soviet army's mobilization is likely to reach more than 30 million people, calculated based on the monthly consumption of 600,000 people. It will take at least 50 months to consume all the Soviet Union's biological forces.

Therefore, the most suitable attack time should be in 1936 three years later. In the end, both sides made a concession. The launch time of the general offensive to destroy the Soviet Union was set in the spring of 1935. At that time, China must invest at least 5 million offensive troops on the Eastern Front battlefield, and the number of tanks and attack artillery shall not be less than 15,000, cannons shall not be less than 30,000, and aircraft shall not be less than 5,000. Germany shall invest as many troops on the Western Front. Moreover, the number of tanks, cannons and aircraft shall not be less than 150% of the amount invested by China. In short, it is to use two tanks, seas and seas of people and seas to submerge Trotsky's Soviet Empire!

But Chang Ruiqing did not think that the battle to destroy the Soviet Union would be smooth sailing. There were too many variables in this war. The British Empire's stubbornness and reluctance to adapt to the point that was unimaginable. The top leaders of the entire empire seemed to be still living in the Victorian era. They didn't know or were unwilling to admit that the British Empire no longer had the strength to independently support her hegemony... Just like Britain in history, she was ignorant of the current affairs, but she didn't know whether the British Empire would turn against the Soviet Union at a critical moment?

I hope that such a thing will happen, otherwise this world war will be really unpredictable. In addition, the atomic bomb will likely appear early, and the countries that have the atomic bomb will be Britain, Germany and China. Haha, even if Roosevelt wants to launch the Manhattan plan immediately, it will be too late to catch up. Most of the European scientists who helped the United States develop the atomic bomb in history have now joined the "u plan" jointly promoted by the British, German and Chinese. I don't know if Britain and Germany will form a "terror balance" because of the atomic bomb?

If that were the case, perhaps Britain would not have been defeated. Without Britain's defeat of the alliance, France would not be worried. As for the United States, Roosevelt's back could not be hard before the atomic bomb was drawn. As long as China and Germany can successfully divide Russia, their historical mission will be almost completed. At most, they will protect the unity and democratic system of the Greater China Federation for a while. Well, I won't be this exhausted prime minister at that time, and I'd better be President Chang Da who is arrogant and careless about things...

...

On the same night, faint lights emerged from the thick curtains at the window of No. 10 Downing Street, just like the deep gaze of an old man who had insight into everything.

After Chang Ruiqing and Hitler proposed the concepts of "Greater East Asia Federation" and "Central and Eastern European Federation" at the London Conference, the lights here have not been extinguished. Apart from night, cabinet ministers and senior military generals came here to meet to discuss countermeasures of the British Empire. Even the monarch of the British Empire, King George V, who was arrogant, summoned Prime Minister Chamberlain to inquire about national policies. For the British Empire, what they are facing now is probably a change that has not been seen in three hundred years. The rise of the United States has made the empire lose the world's first classic forever.

The status of Jihe industrial power, and the First World War made the British Empire actually lose the throne of the world's number one military power. Without strong force as a guarantee, the empire's vast and prosperous colonies naturally became the target coveted by emerging powers. The Soviet Union, which held high the banner of world revolution, was the first to jump out and completely destroyed the last bit of the empire's remaining power in the war in 1932. Now even the two major allies of the British Empire, China and Germany, have begun to be ready to share the world's leadership with the empire!

Of course, the British Empire will not give up easily until the last moment. Even if it does not have the strength to lead the world, the leaders of the empire are still confident that they can use their superb balance techniques to allow other powerful countries in the world to fight each other for the interests of the British Empire, just like in World War I. And now Prime Minister Chamberlain, the helmator of the British Empire, still believes that in the near future, the empire will have a super weapon that can reverse the course of history! With it, perhaps the hegemony of the British Empire can last for another hundred years! But it is regrettable that Germany and China will also have this extremely powerful secret weapon at the same time...

Chamberlain's eyes were stagnant for a long time in the photos and information about the Strathy Bang provided by Germany. Churchill seemed to understand something, thinking that the Prime Minister was ready to use this unborn super weapon to maintain the world hegemony of the British Empire? He glanced at the Foreign Minister Anthony Aiden, and said: "Prime Minister, a team of top physicists led by Baron Nelson (Rutherford) has just returned from Strathy. In the report submitted to the Admiralty, Baron Nelson believed that it was technically feasible to manufacture nuclear fission weapons, because the Strathy Bang had confirmed this point. However, the Baron was worried that once Germany and China were allowed to master this super murder weapon, they might... "

"I know that once Germany has a nuclear fission bomb, they will continue to expand to the Ural Mountains. If China has such a weapon, it will definitely attempt to restore their dominance in the Eastern world." Of course, Chamberlain did not want China and Germany to have nuclear fission bombs, but he also knew that this matter could not be reversed. Even if Britain withdrew from the research and development of nuclear fission weapons, with the German technology and China's uranium mineral resources, it can still create nuclear fission bombs. That is better than research and development with China and Germany, which can at least save a lot of R&D funds. Since the British Empire has no way to monopolize nuclear fission bombs, can it go the other way and let more countries have such super weapons?

Thinking of this, he glanced at Churchill and Aiden: "How do Americans and Russians view nuclear fission?"

"The situation in Russia is unknown, but the Americans do not attach much importance to nuclear fission." Aiden replied in thought: "The Germans blocked the news of the Stragiid explosion, and the outside world only knew that it was an explosion in a large arsenal. So even if the Americans knew the theory of nuclear fission, they would not make up their minds to invest huge sums of money in the research and development of nuclear fission weapons in the short term."

In fact, Roosevelt didn't know that there was nuclear fission at all. He, a US president, was busy with a lot of time. When did he study physics? He never read the journal Nature. Moreover, this theory was proposed by Chinese scientists who were weak in technology. Even the top physicists in various American universities are still skeptical and are ready to repeat Li Fuji's experiment for verification. As for Trotsky, he must be worried about the unfavorable progress of the world revolution. Even if some news about "super bombs" have been heard, they will probably not invest the limited financial and material resources of the Soviet Union into it until the exact evidence is obtained?

"Winston, do we have any special channels to send these materials and photos to the Kremlin?" Chamberlain asked in a low voice by tapping the photos and documents on the table with his fingers.

Hearing the Prime Minister's question, Churchill, holding a cigar, frowned: "Mr. Prime Minister, of course there are channels, but you are not worried about the Soviet Union's nuclear fission bombs..."

"Winston, this is not something we have to worry about." Chamberlain snorted softly, with a gloomy smile on his face: "Anthony, do you think so?"

Foreign Minister Anthony Aiden frowned and thought for a while before saying: "From the current situation of war, as long as China and Germany cooperate closely, the Soviet Union will not be able to win the world war, but it is not in line with the interests of the empire to defeat the Soviet Union. In particular, China and Germany are likely to have nuclear fission bombs in 2 or 3 years, and they can unscrupulously divide the Soviet Union... The most beneficial thing for the empire is to make the struggle between China, Germany and the Soviet Union last for a long time. As long as the power of China and Germany is restrained by the Soviet Union, the empire's hegemony can rest assured."

These words came to Chamberlain's heart. This was the supreme realm of the British Empire's balance technique, allowing China, Germany and the Soviet Union to reign and the British Empire to hide behind and manipulate the war situation and make money by making war. In this way, China, Germany and the Soviet Union would not pose a threat to Britain's hegemony, and only the United States was still drooling at the throne of the empire's hegemony on the other side of the ocean. Chamberlain looked at Churchill: "There are also the two troubles of the United States and Japan... Winston, do you think the Japanese Navy has the ability to teach the Americans a very profound lesson?"

Although Churchill did not learn from the navy seriously, he served as the British First Navy Secretary four times and knew the strength of the navies of various countries. He shook his head and said, "Mr. Prime Minister, I don't think the Japanese Navy has such strength. Although they have three very good main ships, they cannot play much role under the absolute number of the United States. As for their aircraft carriers, due to the lack of excellent carrier-based aircraft, they cannot exert too much combat effectiveness, otherwise they would not have been dormant on the Japanese archipelago until now."

"Oh, do they have no good carrier-based aircraft?" Chamberlain smiled coldly: "Then find a way to get them to have some." He turned to look at Aiden again: "Anthony, what about your opinion?"

Aiden was very surprised by Chamberlain's proposal. He waved his hands repeatedly: "Mr. Prime Minister, no, Japan now has 11 aircraft carriers. Once it obtains advanced fighter jets, it is very likely that it will dominate the Western Pacific in the short term. The empire's colonies in the South China Sea will be no longer protected!"

Chamberlain looked at Churchill again, and the latter shook his head slightly: "I think we should make full use of this piece of Japan. As for the South Asian colonies, there is no need to worry too much. Myanmar has been confirmed to be transferred to China, and China has also made demands on the entire Malaya outside Singapore... The gains and losses of these two territories should be made to the Chinese, and I think the Japanese may not have the courage to touch Malaya and Myanmar under the eyes of the Chinese."

After hearing Churchill's words, Chamberlain's expression became much more relaxed. Just as he was about to say something to finalize the matter, the knocking sounded, and the secretary walked into the office with Sir Field, the First Minister of Maritime Affairs who had just returned from the United States.

Sir Field went to the United States to negotiate the sale of leasing or purchasing 9 former Japanese battleships/battlecruisers. He just returned to the UK at around 6 pm today and rushed back to London to report the situation.

"How is the negotiations between Sir Fidel and the Americans?" Chamberlain asked lightly.

"The negotiations went very smoothly, and the Americans offered not high prices. The nine main battleships cost only $150 million, which was much cheaper than they thought, but the delivery locations they stipulated were a bit strange." As he said, Sir Fidel walked to the map hung in the office and pointed to Port Moresby in the South Pacific and said: "The Americans want to deliver the goods at Port Moresby. Their people will hand over the warships from Pearl Harbor to Port Moresby to us, and the time is set before the end of December this year."

After listening to the report, Chamberlain looked at Churchill and said, "Winston, what do you think? What are the Americans trying to do?"

"This is obvious," Churchill sucked two cigars and smiled: "Roosevelt wanted to force the Japanese to ambush the nine main battleships first, so that the United States can join the war naturally. Prime Minister, I think we can fully cooperate with the Americans to perform this drama..."

Before Churchill finished speaking, Sir Fidel, the First Minister of Maritime Affairs, suddenly interrupted: "Mr. Churchill, I think the Americans have other plans. They are likely to use these nine main ships as bait to develop a plan to lure and kill the main force of the Japanese Joint Fleet... I think our Far East Fleet and Australian Fleet should also participate in this operation."

Chamberlain smiled slightly, without comment, looked at Churchill and smiled, "Winston, do you think it's feasible?"

Churchill shook his head and smiled, "This is an American war. They want to fight and it has nothing to do with us. I think President Roosevelt must think so, right?"

"But... the Japanese are enemies after all!"

Seeing that Sir Fidel wanted to stick to his opinion, Chamberlain sneered and waved his hand and interrupted: "Just! Don't you understand that the British Empire has no eternal enemies, no eternal friends, only eternal interests!"

Sir Fidel was stunned for a moment, not daring to talk back to the Prime Minister, and then hurriedly left. Looking at the back of the First Sea Minister leaving, Chamberlain suddenly murmured: "Winston, Anthony, I think I still have to appease my friends at the moment of the Empire... Maybe a joint statement can be issued to recognize China and Germany's leadership in East Asia and Central and Eastern Europe."

Churchill and Aiden looked at each other and did not seem to agree with the ambiguous concept of "leadership" proposed by Chamberlain. In the eyes of China and Germany, Britain wanted to use its illusory "leadership" to block China and Germany's demand for expansion. In the eyes of France and exiled Belarus, White Poland, White Japan, and small countries in Central and Eastern Europe, the British Empire betrayed them to win over China and Germany, especially France has always been extremely vigilant against any German expansionary force's actions!

"Mr. Prime Minister, I think we cannot completely ignore France's feelings. Now the Belarusian Provisional Government and the White Polish Provisional Government have both been in exile to Paris." Aiden whispered: "Sometimes ago, French Foreign Minister Berian also publicly stated that France is preparing to sign a friendly and mutual assistance treaty with Belarus and White Poland!"
