157th Revolution and Seizing Power

November 6, 1917.

Petrograd, the sky is shining with stars.

It was the darkest moment before dawn, and a train from Finland rumbled into the Petrograd Marina Railway Station.

In the private room of a car on this train, Comrade Lenin was listening very seriously as Bukharin, who was getting on the train at the Razriv Railway Station, narrating the situation at the Bolshevik Party Central Committee meeting.

"…Comrade Kamenev and Comrade Zinoviev still adhere to their views. They believe that most of the Russian people still support the Social Revolutionary Party, especially the Russian peasants, have always been firm supporters of the Social Revolutionary Party. Therefore, even if we can rely on the support of the Petrograd working class to temporarily seize power, we cannot defeat the counterattack of the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks. After all, the number of Russian peasants is far greater than that of the Russian workers... Rather than this, we might as well seek a coalition with the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks and form a coalition government with them."

Bukharin's words made Lenin's eyebrows slightly frown, and Kamenev and Zinoviev's views were not unreasonable. If we compare the number of supporters at present, the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks did have an overwhelming advantage. Whether it is an election or a civil war, the Bolsheviks have no chance of winning! Moreover, imperialist forces such as Britain, France and the United States will definitely support the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks because of the radical stance of the Bolsheviks.

But the question is, is there a way out to form a coalition government with the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks? Now that the United States has declared war on Germany, with the participation of the giants on this new continent, it is only a matter of time before the Allies win the war. As a victorious country, Russia can not only get rid of the quagmire of war, but also have huge war reparations... At that time, not only the Russian peasants will not follow the Bolsheviks, but even the working class in the Russians will lose their fighting spirit and ideals because of the improvement of life, right?

"Comrade Bukharin, do you also support Kamenev and Zinoviev?" Lenin suddenly asked.

"I partially support their opinions." Bukharin nodded in embarrassment, and then said, "But I don't oppose launching an uprising. After all, the current Provisional Government has few supporters in Petrograd, so we can easily seize the power. After seizing the power, it will not be too late for us to negotiate with the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks to form a coalition government. At that time, the negotiations may be more beneficial to us, right?"

After hearing this, Lenin sneered in his heart. Bukharin was really too smart. However, for the sake of face, the great mentor still nodded frequently.

"What do other comrades in the central government have opinions?" the instructor asked again.

"Comrade Trotsky and Comrade Stalin both praised the establishment and launched an armed uprising immediately. Comrade Trotsky believed that we could seize power first and then try to win the support of Russian peasants. Comrade Stalin advocated that the working class be launched and armed immediately after seizing power, suppress the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks, and implement the dictatorship of the proletariat."

Hearing this, a trace of light flashed in Lenin's eyes, and then he smiled faintly: "Comrade Trotsky is still a little taken for granted, while Stalin... is just too rough. He doesn't know how to talk about strategy.

"Strategy? What do you mean..." Bukharin was stunned for a moment and asked, "Are you supporting the uprising or opposing the uprising?"

"Do you still need to ask?" Lenin replied with certainty: "Of course I support the launch of an armed uprising!"

Bukharin sighed and then asked: "What should we do after the uprising is successful? Should we form a coalition government with the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks?"

"No! It won't form a coalition government." A sly smile slipped across Lenin's face: "After we obtain power, we will hold a "constitutional conference" election nationwide... I think the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks will not oppose such an election, right?"

Bukharin was stunned and stunned, looking at his mentor hesitantly, and murmured for a while: "But... But Comrade Lenin, we, we cannot win the election! There were only a few million Russian workers before the war, and the soldiers who supported us were at most ten million. With these people, we cannot win Russia!"

"No! We can!" Lenin gritted his teeth and said firmly: "The proletariat will definitely win Russia. This is not determined by the number of people, but by the spirit of struggle of the proletariat! As for the Russian peasants... they do not have a political program, they cannot become leadership forces, and they will only follow the winners, regardless of whether the winner is the proletariat, the bourgeoisie, or even the tsar!

Russian peasants are just silent majority! They will not become strong support for the Social Revolutionary Party!”

Bukharin was now confused. As soon as he opened his mouth to ask clearly, the door of the box was pushed open. Zhang Guotao came in. He glanced at Bukharin with a faint sarcasm at the corner of his mouth. He had been guarding outside the box, pricking his ears, and the conversation between the two inside was clearly heard, and he already understood what method Lenin would use to seize the Russian regime!

"Comrade Zhang, what's the matter?" Lenin said with a smile.

"Comrade Lenin, the train has stopped steadily, and the station is full of comrades from the Red Guards, so it is absolutely safe."

Lenin stood up and looked at Bukharin, who seemed to be still in a daze: "Comrade Bukharin, it's time for us to get off the train. Comrades are still waiting for us in the Smonil Palace!"

...

Fujian, Xiamen Port.

The drizzle enveloped the entire Xiamen Port. In the rain and fog, neat Guangdong soldiers were boarding the ship silently. Outside the port, there were soldiers standing guard with guns and live ammunition, and the entire port area was strictly sealed off.

There were some winds and waves on the sea, which made the merchant ships in the port fluctuate. The warships of the guardian fleet were guarding outside Xiamen Port, waiting in the misty rain for the transport fleet to be loaded, and escorting them to Guangzhou.

The three divisions of Jiang JShi, Zang Zhiping and Gao Yi who were stationed in Xiamen and Zhangzhou have now been reorganized into the Second Army of the Guangdong Army. They have been assembled and are ready to set off.

On the dock, two middle-aged men with star-gliding stars left, but their military uniforms were very different. One was wearing the blue-gray Beiyang Army general's uniform, which was Chang Ruiqing's confidant general, Bai Chongxi, the commander of the Second Division of the Fujian Army. The other was wearing the yellow military uniform of the Guangdong Army, and the wolf-buying eagle sight. It was the deputy commander-in-chief and chief of staff of the Guangdong Army.

Two generals from different camps were actually walking in the rain together, and they didn't care if they were soaked. One of them was leading troops to take over Xiamen, and the other was trying to lead troops to go to Guangdong. At this time, they both turned their attention to the Guangdong army officers and soldiers who were boarding the ship.

Bai Chongxi frowned slightly: "Brother J Shi, you are from Zhejiang, but you have been developing in Guangdong and Guangxi, and I am from Guangxi. But I can only watch my hometown be occupied by warlords like Lu Rongting. It's really a pity..."

"What are you sorry? Brother Jiansheng can do with us!"

Bai Chongxi shook his head suddenly: "We who came out of the third phase of Baoding are company commanders and platoon commanders in other places, but those who follow Chang Yaoru will have at least a battalion commander's future. People like me are already the commander of the first division! How can I do something that I am sorry for Chang Yaoru?"

Jiang JShi smiled faintly: "How can I say I'm sorry to Chang Yaoru? Now Mr. Sun's armed forces are the two soldiers stationed in Guangdong, Yunnan Army and Guangdong Army... Moreover, the Yunnan Army has only two divisions, and the Guangdong Army has less than 40 battalions, and its strength is not as strong as the elite of your Fujian Army's third division. If Chang Yaoru can surrender, he will not only be a Fujian military supervisor, but can become the chief of the army of the law guardian military government. In the future, it is possible to inherit the teacher's legacy!"

"General of the Army? Is this the conditions issued by Mr. Sun?" Bai Chongxi pondered for a moment and asked again: "Who will decide here in Fujian?"

"Wu Yuxun is in charge of the army, and Lin Zichao is in charge of the administration." Jiang JShi smiled and said again: "Sir, I hope that Brother Jiansheng will preside over the military affairs in Guangxi."

Bai Chongxi stopped, turned his head to look at Jiang JShi, suddenly smiled and shook his head: "Not now, the conditions are not yet mature. Chang Yaoru meant that in two years, we will find an opportunity to cooperate fully with Mr. Sun when the territory of Fujian Province is consolidated. But by then, it will not be a law-protecting military government, but the entire central government of China!"

Jiang JShi couldn't understand Bai Chongxi's words. However, he smiled faintly, took off his military cap and flicked it gently. The raindrops hit his bald head, as if he had made him awake a lot.

"Two years are just two years... Anyway, our China has been in chaos for so many years, so I don't care about two more years of chaos... By then, you and I will be revolutionary comrades, Brother Jiansheng, you and I will hit it off at first sight, so why not make brothers of different surnames just like this!"

Bai Chongxi pressed the command knife and looked at Jiang JShi, and finally laughed: "Okay, it's good to be a brother, but it's not you and me, but we have to include Chang Yaoru and Wang Jiuguang."

"Okay! Just one word is settled!" Jiang JShi also smiled: "When I conquer Guangdong, I will come to Fujian to visit Brother Jiansheng and Chang Yaoru, and then we will be sworn together."

...

The night was already very deep, and the entire Hairong cruiser was quiet, with only a slight sound of motors and waves coming. I don’t know if it was because of these sounds that our Changda warlords actually lost insomnia this night! By the way, it was already early in the morning of November 7, 1917. If the international historical direction of this time and space have not changed much, the sound of cannons in October Revolution will be heard in less than 30 hours...

When she thought about what a cannon fire in the October Revolution would bring to the whole world! Chang Ruiqing couldn't help but take a deep breath, opened her eyes, and looked at the sky board with her eyes fixedly. Zhen Xiaoru next to her also woke up. She found that her lover was still pondering, so she leaned her head on his solid chest and asked in a low voice: "Why are you not sleeping yet? You will be in Tianjin tomorrow. How can you be energetic to deal with so many things if you don't sleep?"

Chang Ruiqing turned his head and smiled at the delicate femme fatale, sighing: "I can't sleep... I always think about how to deceive people..." Zhen Xiaoru burst out laughing and blinked: "I'm talking nonsense... Isn't it because I want to deceive other girls again? Humph, I've deceived four beautiful ladies who are as beautiful as jade, and I'm not satisfied?"

Listening to Xiaoru's soft voice joking with him, Chang Ruiqing just smiled bitterly. He looked at Tianhuābang and said in a deep tone: "If it were for women, I wouldn't be so worried that I couldn't sleep all night. The people I want to deceive are all human spirits, and each one is the one who eats people and doesn't spit bones! If you are not careful, you may be unlucky in the whole of China!"

Zhen Xiaoru was a little stunned by his words and said in confusion: "Who are you going to deceive this time? Why are you still involved in China? Are you going to deceive foreign devils?"

Chang Ruiqing sat up from the bed, reached out and hugged his little lover in his arms, and said lightly: "You don't need to know these, and you can't figure them out... You just need to know that in Beijing, there is someone who is likely to need you to kill!"

Zhen Xiaoru frowned slightly. She really didn't know how true Chang Ruiqing had to him. Or did she just want to use her as a murder tool? But she was still willing to help Chang Ruiqing kill! She nodded and spit out a word: "Who?"

Chang Ruiqing nodded with satisfaction: "Kudashev, Minister of the Russian Empire to the Republic of China! In the name of the Red Brigade!"

"Yes!" Zhen Xiaoru didn't understand why Chang Ruiqing wanted to kill a foreign ambassador to China? However, her years of killer career made her accustomed to not asking why.

Chang Ruiqing took a deep breath and fell into deep thought. Killing the Russian Empire's ambassador to China was a decision he made after careful consideration. He did not want the diplomats of this destruction empire to continue to contact the envoys of the great powers in Beijing and destroy his next plan. And now is the time to let the silent Red Brigade come out to work again!

...

At this time, the Smaller Palace, which was thousands of miles away in the outskirts of Petrograd, the capital of Russia, was on the evening of November 6, 1917. The entire Smaller Palace was brightly lit, in a well-decorated conference room. It was filled with the choking smoke from the burning of cigarettes and the strange smell of inferior coffee. The leaders of the Central Committee of the Russian Bolshevik Party were holding an important meeting here that concerns the future and destiny of Russia and the world.

There is only one content discussed at the meeting, which is how to establish a proletarian regime in Russia!

"...Comrades! What are you still hesitating about? The entire Petrograd is on our side. The Provisional Government can no longer mobilize any force except for a battalion of female soldiers and some non-commissioned officers! As long as we are willing, we will seize power tomorrow night and we will hold the entire Russia in our hands!"

After saying this, Lenin waved his clenched fist heavily, his face filled with an irrepressible look of excitement.

"Comrade Lenin, we cannot control the entire Russia!" Zinoviev seemed to be still sticking to his original proposition, saying: "On the second day after we launched the uprising in Petrograd, the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks will launch the same uprising elsewhere in Russia! Comrades, Russia has not many working classes. There is no foundation and strength to establish the dictatorship of the proletariat. The only feasible thing is the joint rule of the petty bourgeoisie and the left bourgeoisie."

After hearing Zinoviev's opposition, Lenin showed a kind smile and looked at his opponent: "Comrade Zinoviev, if we can definitely seize the Russian regime through the uprising, will you still object?"

"Of course not!" Zinoviev's opposition was only because he felt that there was no possibility of victory in provoking wars with the Social Revolutionary Party and the Mensheviks, and it was not really an objection to the Bolsheviks taking over power alone.

"Comrade Kamenev. What about your opinion?" Lenin asked Kamenev with a smile.

"So, Comrade Lenin. I am as eager as you to establish a proletarian dictatorship in Russia! Just..."

"We will win!" Lenin waved his arm and interrupted Kamenev: "Comrades. There is a question I think everyone is in a misunderstanding. That is, can the political faction with the most Russian support definitely have power?"

As soon as this question came out, the Bolshevik leaders present were stunned. Lenin smiled and said, "The Romanov dynasty has never received the support of most Russians! At least in the era we have experienced, but this dynasty has not always held the Russian regime before the February Revolution? Also, our neighbor China, not long ago, two or three million Tatars were still ruling hundreds of millions of Han people. Who would have thought that those Tatars would receive the support of most Han people?

Since the Romanov dynasty without public opinion can rule Russia, and the Tatars without public opinion can rule China, why can't we, the Bolsheviks establish a proletarian dictatorship in Russia!

Comrades! Do you know what is the basis for establishing a regime and ruling a country? It is not public opinion, not public opinion, nor election, but force! As long as the proletariat has sufficient armed forces, we can establish a dictatorship in Russia!"

"But Comrade Lenin, the armed forces we have now are not enough to establish a proletarian dictatorship throughout Russia!" Trotsky, who was in charge of military work, whispered.

"So what?" Lenin smiled coldly: "Are the social revolutionary party and the Mensheviks more powerful than us?"

"Of course not, they have less armed forces." Trotsky frowned and smiled bitterly: "In fact, most of the Russian troops are still neutral. They may still be loyal to Russia, but will not obey the command of any political party."

Lenin glanced at the chairman of the Bolshevik military committee, and a sarcastic smile appeared on his lips: "Comrade Trotsky, as long as we have control over Petrograd and the Russian regime, aren't we Russia?"

He smiled coldly and let his voice go: "After we seize power, we will immediately announce the election of the Constitutional Assembly! It is October 24 (Julian calendar), and it will take at least two months to hold a general election in Russia. Comrade Trotsky, if there are two months for us to control the regime, how many Russian troops can we transform into our Red Army of Workers and Peasants? And the leaders of the Social Revolutionary Party and Mensheviks in various places will most likely be elected as members of the parliament Duma will come to Petrograd to join the trap! Then let them taste the dictatorship of the proletariat!"!~!
