Chapter 468: Arrive in Guangzhou

The spring of the third year of Jiaxi is particularly different from previous years.

The war between Song and Meng started to burn in the twelfth lunar month, from Huainan East Road to Jingxiang, and then from Jingxiang to Sichuan Basin. On the front line that stretched for thousands of miles, the Song and Meng army fought continuously, countless people were displaced, and countless lands were stained with blood.

In fact, before Meng Gong, the commander of the Jinghu Controller, received the right to deal with the situation, the entire Jinghu Army had already begun to move.

On the west road, Meng Gong ordered Zhang Jun, the commander of the Zaoyang Army stationed on the Dengzhou line, to lead 100,000 troops to advance westward, attack the cities and villages, and go straight to the original Jingzhao Mansion Road, and acted as if he was preparing to enter Guanzhong and capture Jingzhao Mansion (Xi'an). At the same time, Jiao Jin, the commander of the Ningwu Army stationed in Tangzhou, also advanced westward, entering Dengzhou, and following Zhang Jun's Zaoyang Army, echoing each other.

On the east road, Meng Gong ordered He Shun, commander of the Ningwu Army stationed on the Yingzhou line, to lead the 100,000 troops of the Ningwu Army to march eastward and attack many cities along the north bank of the Huai River. The peak of the army pointed directly to Sizhou City where Tuxue was located (near Xuyi County, Jiangsu Province later). At the same time, Zhang Ying, commander of the Suizhou Army stationed in Caizhou City, led 100,000 Suizhou Army to march eastward and entered the Yingzhou line, echoing the He Shun army ahead.

At the same time, Meng Gong ordered Liu Quan, the commander of the Ningwu Army, to take charge of Xiangyang City, recruit new recruits, reorganize Xinyang Army, and speed up construction of bunker city defenses on all front lines of Xiangyang City.

As for Meng Gong, he personally commanded the three troops of the Ningwu Army, the center and the right, and took charge of Caizhou. He ordered the Ningwu Army on the left to go north to Xuzhou to test Shi Tianze's weakness and reality.

The real strength of the Ningwu Army built by Meng Gong can be said to be the only one that the Song and Meng battle was truly exposed. The Ningwu Army, the five fronts, backs, left and right, and middle groups, had a total of 500,000 people. If the Zaoyang Army was added, the Suizhou Army and the Xinyang Army, which were almost completely destroyed, would be a large army of 800,000 in Jinghu alone.

No one has calculated how many soldiers and horses there are in Huainan and Sichuan, and how many soldiers there are from various ranks. I am afraid that even the Privy Councilor Shi Songzhi, the Privy Councilor, cannot figure out how many troops there are now in the Song Dynasty. As for Sichuan, Huainan and Jinghu, there are so many soldiers and horses there.

The Jinghu Army advanced three routes, and Shi Tianze, who was hiding in Xuzhou, did not leave the city, and looked as if he was strictly guarding the city; Subutai, Sichuan, just sent 20,000 deputy generals, Commander Du Liang, 20,000 Mongolian cavalry, along with the Tubo and Xixia servants of Fengxiang Prefecture and Jingzhao Prefecture, a total of 100,000 people were on the front line of Jingzhao Prefecture in Guanzhong to guard Zhang Jun. The two sides had contact and damage to each other, but no war had occurred.

Tuxue drew 50,000 Xixia servants from several cities near Haizhou (near Lianyungang) and other cities, and sent a deputy general and 10,000 Mongolian cavalry to advance westward, and deployed defenses between Sizhou and Yingzhou, fighting against Jiaojin's Ningwu army, and like the Jingzhao Prefecture, they fought one after another, and Tuxue had no intention of withdrawing troops and retreating.

Whether it is Subutai or Tuxue, they all seem to have been determined to decide between Sichuan or Huainan and the Song Dynasty.

As for Shi Tianze, Ningwu's army was at the city of Xuzhou, Shi Tianze had been guarding the city with strict control and had no intention of leaving the city to fight.

The battlefield that stretched for thousands of miles seemed to be the same as before. Subutai burned and killed and looted Sichuan. The Xingyuan Prefecture was broken on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. Yang Xing, the prefect of Xingyuan, and the tens of thousands of Sichuan soldiers and cities stationed in Xingyuan Prefecture were all destroyed. There were only one or two people in the Xingyuan Prefecture who could escape occasionally.

Most of the Sichuan Province is filled with smoke and corpses.

In the end, the Sichuan commander Zhao Rongrui personally led troops to Dalizhou from Chengdu Prefecture, and then formed a line of defense along Lizhou, Bazhou and Dazhou to block Subutai's Bingfeng.

On the battlefield in Huainan, Tuxue and Zhao Kui were in a stalemate. They fought for three days and a big battle for five days. Tuxue could not cross the Huai River, and Zhao Kui could not defeat Sizhou City either.

All changes are like no changes. Subutai and Tuxue seemed to see through Meng Gong's attitude of being strong outside and being strong inside. They knew that Meng Gong did not dare to launch a large-scale army to launch a war without knowing the reality of the Mongols along Xuzhou, and was unmoved at all. They should do whatever they should do.

The documents that were in urgent need of money and food in various places floated to Lin'an like snowflakes and fell on Zhao Yun's desk. In just over a month, Zhao Yun felt that his hair had turned much white.

Just as Zhao Yun and the old ministers in the court counted a few more white silks on their heads every day, Jia Sidao's fleet arrived in Guangzhou calmly.

In the third year of Jiaxi, in early March, perhaps when the land in the south of the Yangtze River was still steep in spring, it was already the season when the grass was growing and the birds were flying and the grass was green.

Guangzhou Port.

Perhaps because he knew that the heroic man in front of Emperor Jia Sidao was coming, the dock was obviously deliberately repaired. In addition to Yu Ci, Zhou Tan, Xie Xing, Zhao Yanyu, Qin Shou and others who came to greet Jia Sidao were the officials of Guangzhou Prefecture, both of them and Zhou Ci, Zhou Tan, Xie Xing, Zhao Yanyu, Qin Shou, etc., who were the first to come to Guangdong to fight for the front station, they were all small and small officials.

Guangzhou prefect Ding Daquan followed Jia Sidao, and other prefecture officials from all over the country, such as Yingde, Zhaoqing, Deqing, Qingyuan, etc., did not dare to leave without Jia Sidao's call, and no one came. Of course, or these prefects themselves did not want to come.

On the dock, Yu Ci and others saw Jia Sidao finally coming safely, but they were also a little nervous.

Before, although Jia Sidao was the Guangdong appeasement envoy, Jia Sidao had not arrived for a day. Those who came to stand up to Jia Sidao first always felt that there was a little bit of injustice, not to mention that the General Office of the Maritime General Office was not within the administrative system of the Song Dynasty, and they could not interfere in any specific matters.

Not to mention the entire Guangdong Road, it is just Guangzhou Prefecture. In the past eight or nine months, they have been blunt in countless ways. They have made things difficult for everybody. They may be a bit exaggerated, but perfunctory is common.

Now, the Maritime General Office of the General Office of the Maritime General Office has not only been preparing to build various responsibilities throughout Guangdong Road, but only the construction of the General Office in Guangzhou has exhausted the efforts of the boss, and only then has a vague atmosphere. The rest of the prefectures, and even the Jingjiang Prefecture, which is vacant to the prefectures, have not made any progress. The Maritime General Office officials stationed in various prefectures have been circulating among the many yamen in various prefectures.

Compared with Yang Du and Chen Tong, the only thing worthy of comfort is that at least they have not been directly imprisoned.

Jia Sidao handed over such a heavy burden to them, but did not achieve any results for so long. For Yu Ci and his group of people who were ambitious and intended to do something, it was a comfort to themselves that they had not been hit.

At this time, Yu Ci and the other prides of the emperor realized how difficult it would be to do something like Jia Sidao.
