107. Yao Ming's influence

As of the announcement of the first round of All-Star voting results, the league has set off a wave of anti-Wu frenzy. Not only the Eastern Conference forward-strikers who were ranked behind Wu Dawei were telling their injustice, but many scraps of scraps also began to spit at Wu Dawei.

Deshen Stevenson, the Mavericks' substitute player, is one of them. This short man in the court is a complete language "superstar". His name has long been well known to basketball fans, not because of his outstanding data or how outstanding his gods have performed, but because he was known in the first round of the playoffs between the Wizards and the Cavaliers a few years ago.

He told reporters that Wu Dawei is actually an overrated player. Just like he said a few years ago that LeBron James was overrated, and he thought Wu Dawei was even worse than James because he was Chinese. He said that Chinese players rely on the large number of Chinese people to be able to enter the All-Star.

Soon, Deshen Stevenson, who was rude, became Wu Dawei's first target of surgery.

After finishing their home game against the Atlanta Hawks, the Cavaliers set off to start their two consecutive away trips. The first game was the Dallas Mavericks, which was their only regular season game this season.

Although the previous six consecutive away games made the Cleveland team very uncomfortable, with only 4 losses and 2 wins, fortunately they did not play the terrifying Texas top three consecutive games. Facts have proved that it is almost impossible for a team to win against the Texas top three in three consecutive games in recent years. The Boston Celtics did it in 2008, and later they became the champions of that season.

However, although the Cavaliers did not play three Texas strong teams in a row this time, their away trip was not easy. After playing against the Mavericks at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, their old players went to Houston not far from Dallas, and then played another game at the Rockets' Toyota Center.

Unfortunately, this is a back-to-back away game! The schedule that all players and coaches in the league are most reluctant to experience.

Fortunately, the Cavaliers still had plenty of time after they arrived in Dallas. They arrived in Dallas the day before the game, and then adapted to the climate and venues. It can be said that they were quite prepared.

In this game, Wu Dawei quickly allowed Deshen Stevenson to see the embarrassing process. Of course, Wu Dawei embarrassed Stevenson for a short time because the two sides had huge differences in their respective teams.

However, in the first half of the second quarter, when Wu Dawei was about to dunk after a breakthrough, he slapped his dunk head-on and overturned him to the ground! This move almost made the game out of control because Deshen Stevenson was a little angry after being blocked. After getting up, he did not start the game immediately, but decisively approached Wu Dawei and squirted about trash with him.

Of course, Wu Dawei sneered back without any concession. In fact, in Wu Dawei's eyes, this guy is a truly sensational clown. Because he was selected as the All-Star candidate and received a high number of votes, he couldn't even make a difference even if he had a score of 180.

Moreover, Wu Dawei's trash words are obviously very superb. He is not like many players who only greet each other's relatives. He uses all kinds of tactful ridicule to make Stevenson angry.

Of course, the conflict was quickly stopped by the referee. Since it was at the Mavericks' home court, both sides who criticized each other received a warning for a technical foul. This made Wu Dawei a little depressed. It was him looking for trouble. Can't I even talk back?

This made him a little confused. Where is my star whistle? David Stern doesn't look like a person who doesn't keep his word...

This is just a small episode in the game. Deshen Stevenson is just a marginal player of the Mavericks. His playing time per game is less than one-fifth of Wu Dawei. Since he was promoted to the team's main No. 3 position, Wu Dawei's playing time has been expanding.

Until the game against the Miami Heat, Wu Dawei not only set a new high in all his statistics, but also reached an astonishing 42 minutes of playing time! In the next game against the Atlanta Hawks, Wu Dawei made another 35 minutes.

This game is no exception. Due to the anxious scores of both sides, Wu Dawei played for more than 30 minutes in the third consecutive game. Of course, compared with the previous games, Wu Dawei's defensive task in this game was lighter.

After all, the height gap between him and Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki was there. Head coach Byron Scott just asked Wu Dawei to keep coming forward to assist in defense, and be sure to let Nowitzki not make a smooth shot.

Without too heavy defensive tasks, Wu Dawei finally scored 18 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks in this game and sent 6 assists again. It was a bit of a pity that the Cavaliers finally lost this away game.

But they didn't have time to regret it, so they boarded the plane to Houston and rushed to the next opponent's home court.

Due to the urgent time, Wu Dawei, who arrived in Houston, didn't even have time to reminisce with his compatriot Yao Ming, so he started training in the venue. Although all the players on the plane slept for a while and had a few hours of rest in the hotel after coming to Houston, everyone had a hint of fatigue on their faces when the game that night came.

This should have been the most popular game among Chinese fans, but unfortunately Yao Ming's absence makes it a one-man show for Wu Dawei. However, many Chinese fans still came to the scene. Yao Ming's arrival made many Chinese in this city basketball fans. Although Yao Ming did not play tonight, Wu Dawei, who was in the limelight recently, is enough to be their reason to come to Toyota Center tonight.

It has to be said that Yao Ming's influence has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the city. Wu Dawei stood on the court in the Toyota Center and looked around, he could see fans wearing the Rockets No. 11 jersey, most of whom were yellow people, and blacks and whites.

Thinking about the fact that Yao Ming, who seemed very young and thin, first came to the NBA, he faced not only doubts, but also more racial discrimination, but he survived. Faced with the doubts that Charles Barkley said that he could not score 19 points, Shaquille O'Neal mocked him for his untrue All-Star vote.

Yao Ming slowly conquered this strange country with his outstanding performance year by year. Until now, even though he has been seriously injured, the Americans still think that he is the number one center in the league at present!

This compatriot who is more than 20 centimeters taller than himself, his past situation is so similar to his current situation! He slowly conquered everyone with his amazing performances in the arena; and isn't this what he is doing now?

Yao Ming's experience made Wu Dawei more convinced that the path he was taking was correct. Let those people question and ridicule, and I am responsible for making them speechless!

When the game was about to begin, Wu Dawei walked onto the court. Instead of greeting the opponents on the court, he walked to the Rockets bench and greeted Yao Ming: "Hey, handsome guy, congratulations on avoiding the fate of being covered by my Yan tonight!"

The two Chinese players laughed at the side of the court, but made the Chinese fans sitting in front of the TV and computer sigh, why did they come one after another rather than coming together? Otherwise, perhaps the height of Chinese basketball will be higher in 2008.
