Chapter 89: Cut scenes

"It's not appropriate to change it directly," Eric Poker explained. "Tom Hardy has a formal contract with the crew."

As one of the producers of a crew, he considers much more than a director. There is a contract between the two parties, so the crew does not need to pay a penalty for such a small actor.

David Frankel immediately understood Eric Pock's subtext, thought for a while and said, "This actor has a big problem with his mentality. He doesn't know how to adjust himself and his shooting plan is very tight. I can't waste time on such a small role."

"So it..." Although this is an actor introduced by the London Central Academy of Drama, Eric Pock doesn't care at all. "Don't fire, you look at the situation where you are at your discretion, just a small role."

"Okay." David Frankle called the deputy director and photographer and ordered, "Adjust the shooting plan. Tom Hardy's orderly role will be cancelled."

"Where is the close-up close-up?" asked the photographer.

All NG problems are in close-up close-ups.

David Frankel already had a stool and said, "Turn behind him, through his shoulders, close-up shots to Matthew Horner's character."

He looked at the photographer and the deputy director and asked, "Is it okay?"

The two of them said at the same time, "No problem."

Rather than wasting time like before, make adjustments.

"You guys go and prepare." David Frankle waved his hands to the two of them first, and then said to Eric Poke. "The prototype of the orderly character died in a car accident. I don't think this character needs to appear in other scenes. All the original scenes will be cancelled. The next scene of this character will die in a car accident."

Eric Pock thought for a while and said, "You shoot this scene first, and I will tell Hanks the truth."

David Frankel nodded slightly, "You call Hanks as soon as possible. If you do this kind of actor again, I will go crazy!"

The two of them communicated a few more words, deciding that Tom Hardy's mentality was too poor and his self-regulation ability was amateur, and it was not worth the crew's time spent on him, especially as an optional orderly role.

As for the London Central Theater Academy where he introduced him, Eric Pock and David Frankel didn't care, and they were even a little annoyed. They actually introduced such an unreliable actor to come!

The shooting began soon.

Matthew could see the crew adjusting the camera position, and it seemed that the camera was more conducive to shooting him.

However, he did not think too much, and he was still as focused as before, doing his best to complete his work.

Tom Hardy was still a little worried at the beginning, but the filming went very smoothly. The director did not stop until the annoying guy on the opposite side left with something.

He was in his early twenties and did not notice any abnormality at all. When he heard the director shouting that the filming had been done, he immediately put on his clothes, walked to the actress, and whispered, "Do you have time tonight? I will go to the Cronet bar near the hotel tonight..."

The blonde actress smiled at him but said nothing.

Tom Hardy knew it and was about to go to the dressing room to prepare for the next filming, but heard the shouts of the assistant director.

"The shooting plan is temporarily adjusted!" The assistant director's voice was quite high, "The next scene will be cancelled, and I will go to the open-air studio to shoot street scenes in advance!"

"My play has been cancelled?" Tom Hardy was stunned. "What's going on?"

He quickly found the assistant director and asked, "When will the next scene be filmed?"

"Not a change!" the assistant director glanced at him and said directly, "It's canceled, the next scene is cancelled!"

"What?" Tom Hardy couldn't understand, "Why?"

The assistant director said impatiently, "How do I know why the director and producer's decision?"

Tom Hardy's good mood disappeared from the beautiful girl, and said, "But..."

"Nothing but." The assistant director was too lazy to continue to explain, "I still have work to work."

After saying that, he left.

Tom Hardy stood there and looked around. The actress who was playing the show had already left, and the annoying male actor opposite was gone. The other staff members of the crew were busy packing up their things and replacing the filming. It seemed that he was the only one of them, an idle person.

"I just called Hanks."

After leaving the studio, Eric Pock said to David Frankel, "Hanks says that such a small role is optional, just let's make a decision."

David Frankel nodded, "Or what I suggest?"

"Yes!" Eric Pock didn't plan to spend too much energy on such trivial matters at all. "You make the decision."

The total length of shots shot in each episode of the crew is basically more than five times that of TV series. It doesn’t matter if such an optional small character can reduce the role.

In Eric Pock's opinion, this is just a small role playing for Matthew Horner.

Even he couldn't understand, what capital does this kind of young actor have to face an actor who is far more important than him in filming with an arrogant and disdainful expression?

Eric Pock saw it very clearly. Tom Hardy was young and energetic, and probably most people didn't take it seriously. This attitude even continued to the shooting.

He shook his head. Such an actor is still too young. Without seven or eight years of training, it is impossible for him to really make a comeback.

Both a young actor, Matthew Horner is much more mature and smarter than him.

"There is such a big gap between people." Eric Pock muttered, "The people recommended by these British guys are too unreliable, and Helen Hermann is trustworthy."

In the street setting on the open-air set, Matthew stood in front of a stairs by the street. On the steps behind him were silver trays and utensils, and next to it was a Chicago typewriter.

The crew is also setting up cameras and adjusting the sets, and will not shoot in a short period of time.

Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy came over. Both of them were wearing US military uniforms and were obviously going to act as passers-by during the shooting.

"The actress who just played..." Michael Fassbender seemed to be crazy in this crew, who are basically men. "Matthew, what do you think?"

"It's okay." Matthew thought for a while, "It's pretty, and has a great figure!"

Michael Fassbender patted James McAvoy on the shoulder, "Look, James, I'll say there's something wrong with your aesthetic!"

James McAvoy curled his lips disdainfully.

Matthew patted James McAvoy on the other side of the shoulder and said deliberately, "In James' eyes, Michael is the most beautiful one."

"Go to die, you!"

Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy raised a middle finger at Matthew at the same time.

"He wants to go and fuck that woman," James McAvoy said, pointing to Michael Fassbender.

Michael Fassbender had no intention of denying it, "Is there any woman in the crew who is more beautiful than her?"

"No!" Matthew answered very affirmatively.

This crew is poisonous, and there are not many women at all from the actors to the people behind the scenes.

"But, Michael." Matthew reminded, "After the last shot, I heard that Tom Hardy had asked her, saying that she would meet at Cronnet Bar tonight..."

"He?" Michael Fassbender put his hands on his chest, "This bastard..."

James McAvoy took over the conversation, "This is too unfair, and picking up girls is also taken first!" He seemed a little angry, "Michael participated in the entire training, but there were not many frontal shots. Tom Hardy did not participate in the training, but there were so many close-ups in one episode. Isn't it just a good family?"

Michael Fassbender shrugged, "This is reality."

Matthew quite agrees with Michael Fassbender's view that Michael Fassbender is a descendant of the chef. According to James McAvoy, Tom Hardy came from a family of entertainment, and there was a huge gap between the two innately.

However, the advantages of family background do exist objectively, but they cannot guarantee smooth sailing.

"Tell you good news." Matthew said to the two with a smile. "I heard from the deputy director that all Tom Hardy's other scenes were cancelled except for a scene where he died in a car accident."

Michael Fassbender, though he knew Matthew wouldn't joke about this, asked, "Really?"

Matthew was very sure, "Of course it's true, I listened to the assistant director with my own ears!"

"There is such a good thing?" James McAvoy's face was full of gloating, his eyes rolled twice quickly, and said, "Didn't Tom Hardy have made an appointment to go to the bar? Why don't we join in the fun at night?"

"Okay!" Michael Fassbender agreed without thinking, "I'll go!"

The two of them looked at Matthew together. Matthew thought for a while and said, "As long as the crew doesn't work overtime at night, I will go too."

"That's all!"

These two guys saw that the assistant director began to arrange background roles to take their place, so they quickly left.

Then, director David Frankl came over to explain to Matthew and the shooting began.

The scene here needs to be mastered. Captain Ronald Spears, played by Maxica, was carrying valuable spoils such as collected silverware and preparing to mail them back to China. After going out, he met the jeep that Captain Louis Nixon was riding, and both sides almost ran into it.

Judging from the script, the scenes are dangerous, but the risk is very small during shooting. The jeep is very slow. The camera installed on the slide rails is moving at high speed. Matthew can avoid it calmly.

As we all know, movies are an art of deception.

However, during the shooting, Matthew did not control the balance of his hands and let the silverware on the tray fall to the ground twice in a row. This shot was not until the third shot passed.
