Chapter 87 The Deadly Enemy
"Ain, pour the wine!"
Michael Culliz's heroic voice sounded from the bar, "Everyone's cup is full!"
Ian Bailey, holding the bottle, poured half a cup of whiskey to Matthew, Michael Culliz, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender's glasses one after another.
"Okay!" James McAvoy shouted, "It's ready to start!"
He took a spoon and placed it on the table, turning it, the spoon quickly rotated, and the last handle pointed at Matthew.
"I..."
Matthew had no choice but to pick up the cards in front of him, and not look at the front of the cards. He took the double-sided tape handed over by Michael Fassbender, and put the cards on his forehead facing outward.
It's obviously a game.
The crew was on two days off, and Matthew had no place to go, so he simply went around London with these people during the day and played games and drank together at night.
This is a puzzle game. Each person writes a movie protagonist on the front of the card, and then shuffles the cards and sends one. The selected person puts the card on his forehead so that others can see it. The guesser can ask each of the four people once. The answerer can only say yes or not. If he still can't guess after the question, he drinks the whiskey in the cup. If he guesses, the other four people drink according to the number of questions.
For example, when Matthew asked the first question, he guessed that each of them had to drink four cups, two were three cups, and so on.
"Hurry up, Matthew!" Michael Fassbender urged, "Get started!"
"That's good!"
Although the cards are all about the protagonists in the movie, this range is still very wide, and Matthew didn't expect to guess the first question. He asked Michael Fassbender first, "Is this an American?"
"Yes!" Michael Fassbender nodded.
Matthew thought about it and asked James McAvoy again, "Is this a male?"
James McEvoy immediately replied, "Yes!"
"Such a coincidence." Matthew thought of the card he wrote and asked Michael Culliz again, "Does he like to save the world?"
Michael Culliz opened his mouth and admitted, "Yes."
Matthew stopped asking questions, laughed twice, reached out to touch the card on his forehead, and said, "Superman!"
After saying that, he took the card on his forehead and was stunned. The card was not written at all, but Batman!
"Who wrote this?" Matthew asked the rest of the people, "Who? I wrote Superman, you wrote Batman, I thought..."
Michael Fassbender interrupted him, "Matthew! Where did so much nonsense come from? I admit that I can accept the loss!"
Matthew picked up the wine glass, drank all the whiskey inside in one sip, and said, "Come again!"
"Wait." James McAvoy looked at the bar entrance and said to Michael Fassbender. "You are a mortal enemy of the Central Drama School in London."
Michael Fassbender also looked over there, "Why did he come to this crew?"
Matthew turned his head and looked at the bar door. He saw a young man just walked in. The man was not tall but very strong.
"Who is this?" he asked.
"Tom Hardy," Michael Fassbender said directly, "a slut."
The man also saw Michael Fassbender and walked over. When he arrived near the table where Matthew was, he pointed Michael Fassbender with his chin, "What a coincidence, Mike."
Matthew was closest to the bar door, and Tom Hardy came to the back of him first. "When I was shooting a few days ago, I felt that someone looked familiar, but I didn't expect it was you."
"Yes, what a coincidence." Michael Fassbender smiled like a shark, "Sit down and have a drink together."
Tom Hardy smiled disdainfully, stepped forward, reached out to support Matthew's chair, "Follow you?" He shook his head, "I made an appointment with a friend."
Matthew could hear that Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender were very inconsistent, but the two were still restrained. Apart from the slogans and sarcasm, they did not make any other unusual moves.
He didn't know what conflicts there were between the two, so he didn't speak. He just moved forward and let Tom Hardy get out of the chair when he raised his hand and wanted to hold onto his back again.
Tom Hardy looked down at Matthew, saw that it was a strange face, and snorted proudly, and then ran to Michael Fassbender for a few words. He left here and found an empty table. The person he had made an appointment soon came to the bar. What Matthew and others did not expect was that the hero Damian Lewis who had an appointment with him turned out to be the hero.
"Hi, Damian." Matthew had just had a scene with him a few days ago, and he knew each other, "Come here for a drink?"
Damian Lewis was very good at being a human being. He greeted Matthew and the others one by one, and said, "I'll treat you some other day."
Matthew didn't force himself, and he made a few polite words and let him go to Tom Hardy's table.
"You have any conflicts with him?" Michael Culliz looked at Tom Hardy curiously.
Michael Fassbender did not hide it, "It was too exaggerating to say that James was the mortal enemy. It was nothing more than when he was in the Theatre Academy, he competed for several roles in the Academy Theatre Group. Sometimes I won, sometimes he won."
When Michael Culliz heard this, he lost interest, "That's it?"
"He said it was too simple." James McAvoy picked up the wine glass and took a sip. "This man is famously petty. He relies on his father as a screenwriter with some status in London and often makes small moves behind his back. Michael has suffered several losses."
Michael Fassbender didn't seem to care much, "It's all a trivial matter."
This is simple, but Matthew could see that Michael Fassbender was not very happy, and judging from the Tom West incident, he was not the kind of person who would hold it in his heart after suffering losses.
"He knows Damian?" Matthew changed the subject.
"What's strange about this?" James McAvoy continued, "his parents are both people in the British literary circle."
With Tom Hardy's appearance, the atmosphere between the few people was not as warm as before. After drinking another glass of wine, he left the bar at Matthew's suggestion.
Walking on the cold wind, Michael Culliz asked, "What are you going to do next? Find a place to party?"
"Forget it." James McAvoy was blown by the wind and he was drunk. "I'm dizzy and want to go back to sleep."
Michael Fassbender echoed, "I'm going to go back to bed, too."
Matthew looked at the time, "Then go back to the hotel and sleep in tomorrow!"
During filming, you have to get up early every day, and it takes a lot of time to put on makeup, and the crew cannot wait for actors like them.
After returning to the hotel, he took a shower, Matthew fell asleep. The sleep was extremely sweet until he was woken up by the ringtone of his cell phone in the morning.
He took out his cell phone from under the pillow, and without looking at the number, he pressed the answer button and said angrily, "Who? So early..."
"It's me, Helen." Helen Hermann's voice came from the receiver. "I'm in London. On the way to Hatfield Airport, I'll probably be able to reach the hotel you'll stay in fifteen minutes."
Matthew sat up straight, "Helen, what are you doing?"
"There is a business to deal with here." Helen Hermann's voice was dull, "By the way, see if you're in trouble."
"Okay, I won't tell you anymore." Matthew was too lazy to respond and said directly, "I'll get up now, and I'll wait for you in the restaurant on the first floor of the hotel later."
After hanging up the phone, he finished washing up as quickly as possible, changed into formal clothes, hurried out of the room, and came to the first-floor restaurant. Since it was not too late, he could enjoy a buffet breakfast.
Matthew picked a few meals and brought them to the entrance of the entire restaurant. Before he could finish a piece of bacon, Helen Hermann appeared at the entrance of the restaurant.
She saw Matthew when she came in and walked over.
"Have you had breakfast?" Matthew pointed to the catering placement area. "If you don't have food, you can get some and swipe my card."
The crew equipped them with meal cards, which can be used in hotels and restaurants on the set. Just like when the crew was filmed by the Gladiator, the crew's dietary treatment was impeccable.
Helen Hermann was wearing a professional suit, holding his eyes, pulled open his chair and sat opposite Matthew, saying, "No, I've eaten at the airport."
Matthew was not polite, and put a piece of bacon in two slices of bread, took a big bite, Helen Hermann looked at the watch and said, "I made an appointment at ten o'clock, and time was tight..."
Before she finished speaking, a person came from behind and greeted Matthew loudly, "Hi, Matthew, so early."
Helen Hermann looked up at him, and the man also happened to look at her.
The person who came here was Michael Culliz, looking at Helen Herman and asked, "Matthew, is this your girlfriend?"
Before Matthew and Helen Hermann could speak, he hurriedly stretched out his hand, "Hello, I'm Michael Culliz..."
Helen Hermann didn't shake his hand at all and said directly, "I'm Matthew Horner's agent."
"Uh..." Michael Culliz was stunned for a moment, and then said embarrassedly, "Sorry, sorry."
Helen Herman nodded, ignoring his intentions, and Matthew gave Michael Culliz a wink.
Michael Culliz and Matthew were also very familiar with each other. They walked away immediately and muttered, "Isn't it a waste to be an agent?"
"Actor in the crew," Matthew explained, "a very straightforward person."
"Yeah." Helen Hermann lowered his voice a little, "Time is limited, I'll leave in a while."
Matthew deliberately looked disappointed, "No way? Are you really coming to see me?"
