Chapter 629 The Luckiest Star

After leaving London by car, Matthew slept for a while, and when he woke up, he had already entered Buckinghamshire. He soon arrived at Eversis and arrived at Pinewood Studios, an important base in the British film industry.

He had also filmed movies here a long time ago, but he has never been here again in recent years.

The "Harry Potter" series, from the earliest "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" to the current filming of "Harry Potter and the Prince of Mixed Race", is the main shooting venue.

Before coming, Matthew called David Heyman and Emma Watson, and easily entered the studio, asked casually, and found out when asked where the Harry Potter crew was located.

In a huge studio, Matthew met David Heyman.

"You're finally here." David Heyman greeted Matthew at the door of the studio, hugged him, and said, "I feel warm when I see my old friends from Los Angeles in the terrible London weather in December."

Matthew didn't answer his words, but said, "You have discovered this series, and you will still have to return to this series."

"Please." David Hayman led the way, waiting for Matthew to come and said, "The crew is filming. It has just started after Christmas and has not yet started the filming."

Through the entrance of the studio, Matthew could see the temporary set in front of him busy, and there were still lights adjusting.

The two walked to the outside of the set, David Heyman stopped on his own initiative, and Matthew also stood beside him.

"There is a strike in Los Angeles," Matthew asked casually, "It doesn't affect this, right?"

David Heyman shook his head, "There are some influences. Screenwriter Stephen Colover has temporarily left the crew, but the screenwriter of the two recent movies is mainly Joanna Rowling, and the impact is not very big."

He asked again, "Where are you?"

Matthew said directly, "I have given two crews a long holiday, I hope I will end soon."

"It's hard." David Heyman is also a well-known producer in the industry. He is a member of the producers' league. The news is much more sensible than Matthew. "This strike will be difficult to end in a short period of time."

Matthew nodded, "I heard that the Golden Globes ceremony has stopped." He shrugged, "Oscars may be dangerous."

"By the way, when it comes to Oscars..." David Heyman turned around and asked, "I heard that Warner Bros. is going to apply for the Oscar for you?"

"There is this news, mainly for "I am a Legend." Matthew didn't care at all. "I don't have public relations and I haven't done any canvassing activities. I guess the declaration is useless."

Most actors compete for Oscars for the sake of their fame. Now they want to be famous and profitable, there is no need to wade into the muddy Oscars.

David Heyman said again, "Originally, Warner Brothers and I both wanted to invite Guilmo Del Toro to direct this mixed-race prince, but unfortunately Guilmo Del Toro refused."

"I heard him talk about it." Matthew had heard Guilmo del Torott very early, "He seems to have a horror movie and a comic movie to shoot. I guess the schedule is not correct."

If I hadn't taken on "I Am a Legend" in the middle, Gilmo del Toro would have gone to film "Hellboy 2".

He also said, "I guess Gilmore has doubts, there are more and more fans of this series, and he will be scolded no matter how he shoots it."

"Well." David Heyman nodded, "David Yates was scolded very badly in the last movie."

Speaking of this, he seemed to be quite touched. "Almost every time we start to work on a new episode of Harry Potter movie, what everyone has to discuss is to set the length of the movie, and then hold meetings to listen to opinions from all parties, and delete and modify the paragraphs in the book. We must abandon most of the details and tell the main story seriously."

Matthew could understand this and said, "Even if the story is told, there are still countless scoldings."

"Yes." David Heyman sighed. "The more famous this series is, the harder the filming is. Because the original book has hundreds of millions of readers, the crew needs to face the various pickyness of these readers about the movie. Adapting a book of hundreds of pages into a two-hour movie must make a choice. The crew cannot put all the plots in the movie, which has caused an aspect of criticism from the audience, because no matter which paragraph we delete, there will always be readers who will feel angry."

"I'll ask you more about this experience when I have time." Matthew was serious, "I also have a best-selling movie adaptation on my side."

Matthew chatted with David Heyman for a while and saw a girl in a black magic robe running out of the set.

"Hi, Matthew." Emma Watson greeted him crisply.

"Hi, Emma." Matthew responded with a smile.

David Heyman looked at Matthew, then Emma Watson, and found a reason to leave.

Seeing David Heyman go away, Matthew tilted his head and looked at Emma Watson, saying, "You are so handsome in this outfit!"

Emma Watson opened his hand and said, "It's so ugly that it's so dark." She turned around and said to Matthew, "I'll take off my makeup first, wait for me for a while. We agreed that I'll come to Los Angeles and you'll entertain me, and you come to England and I'll entertain you."

Matthew nodded, "I'll be waiting for you here."

Half an hour later, Emma Watson came back. The black magic robe disappeared. Instead, it was replaced by a pair of jeans and a fur-collar coat. She instantly changed from Hermione Granger to an ordinary girl next door.

"Let's go." She pulled Matthew and led the way. "I just called home and I can have dinner outside."

She turned to Matthew and asked, "What do you want to eat?"

Matthew thought for a while and said, "I remember there is a Brazilian restaurant near the studio that is good and still open?"

The two of them said as they walked, Emma Watson curled up the corner of his mouth, "You think that bad Brazilian restaurant?"

"No?" Matthew frowned. "I remember the taste is very good."

After leaving the studio door, Emma Watson waved his hand to Matthew, "You have a problem with your taste."

Matthew was not polite, "You treat me, you can choose the place."

Emma Watson called a battery car, went up with Matthew, waited for the battery car to start, and said, "Last time in Geneva, you said you like to eat oriental dishes. There is a good restaurant nearby. Go and try it?"

"Okay." Matthew nodded in agreement.

The two of them took an electric car to the entrance of the studio and then transferred to the car when Matthew arrived. In less than ten minutes, they arrived at a Chinese restaurant. Compared to Emma Watson's strangeness, Matthew was familiar with ordering dishes for the two of them.

"Why are you here in London?" Emma Watson asked curiously.

Matthew replied with a smile, "Let's come to see you."

"You?" Emma Watson looked disbelieving, "Will you come here to see me? Who believes?"

She stared at Matthew with wide eyes, "What are you doing in London? Run the announcement? Could it be that BB named you the luckiest Hollywood star of 2007?"

"There is still this?" Matthew didn't know at all.

Emma Watson was surprised, "You don't know."

Matthew shook his head, "I don't know."

"Your news is too closed." Emma Watson said simply, "About two or three days ago, BB had a program that specifically summarized this year's Hollywood movies. Because all three movies you participated in were so popular at the box office, the program said you are the luckiest star."

Matthew understood, "That's it." He asked casually, "There are the luckiest stars, are there the most unlucky stars?"

Emma Watson nodded, "Yes." She pulled up the corners of her mouth and smiled, deliberately changing to a strange tone. "The former couple Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were awarded such honorary titles."

The waiter then delivered the dishes ordered by the two of them one after another. When the waiter left, Emma Watson gave a piece of chicken and delivered it to his mouth, and said, "Guess why they are the most unlucky."

Matthew heard about the situation of these two people this year, and thought for a while, and said, "I remember Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman both released new works this year. Nicole Kidman is a commercial blockbuster such as "The Golden Compass". Tom Cruise seems to be an independent art film. I forgot what my name is."

"The Lion Enters the Mouth of the Sheep." Emma Watson reminded.

Matthew nodded, "I thought of it. These two people got the wrong direction. Tom Cruise focuses on literature and art, Nicole Kidman enters business, and their movies happen to be the strengths of each other, and the result can be imagined."

"The answer is correct!" Emma Watson curled his lips again, "The new work "The Lion Enters the Mouth of the Sheep" starring Tom Cruise has been released in North America for two months, and its cumulative box office is only $14.93 million. This is the lowest box office movie among the films he starred in in 24 years, and its reputation is surprisingly bad. It seems that Tom Cruise is not wise to make art films."

Matthew knew about Nicole Kidman's situation, and she was even more defeated. The seemingly foolproof magical masterpiece, with an investment of nearly 200 million US dollars, and the best-selling original work, but "Golden Compass" just lost all the money...

"By the way, Emma," Matthew said directly, "A reminder you that after the Harry Potter series is over, don't develop into a movie genre that is not suitable for you."

"Like you?" Emma Watson was smart.

Matthew smiled, "I can't be a male god in art films, so I won't try it at all."

Emma Watson said seriously, "I understand. Thank you, Matthew." Before Matthew could speak, she asked again, "You haven't said that, what are you doing in London?"
