Chapter three hundred and fourteen husband and wife war

Matthew puts the matter between Zach Schneider and "The Three Hundred Warriors" aside, and Helen Hermann is temporarily staring at it. He still has the filming of "The Smiths" to be completed.

After returning to the crew, Matthew and Charlize Theron went to the nearby wilderness of Nedahua to shoot some outdoor scenes. These scenes were very few and were announced in less than five days. The crew then went to Atlanta to shoot some outdoor scenes in the city. It was nearly late August when they returned to the Warner Studios in Burbank. The most important and critical scene in the entire script, the Smiths and his wife's family war began.

The studio has been decorated into a luxurious home environment. The oak dining table is filled with various delicacies. In the center of the dining table, there are tables filled with candles. The restaurant supported by the support is warm and romantic.

But the two people in the restaurant were facing each other.

After nearly a month of running-in, Matthew and Charlize Theron are not only in good condition, but also in a tacit manner.

At the beginning of the shooting, Matthew stood at the dining table with a bottle of red wine, looking at Charlize Theron sitting behind the dining table. He picked up the wine glass in front of Charlize Theron, poured her a glass of wine, and handed it over. Charlize Theron took the wine glass but did not drink it. He looked at the wine glass vigilantly and placed it on the dining table.

Matthew narrowed his eyes slightly, his eyes instantly sharp, his fingers suddenly loosened, and the bottle fell to the ground.

Charlize Theron seemed to have a subconscious reaction and reached out to grab the bottle. Her arms were long and her palms were big enough. In addition, she had practiced with Matthew many times before, so she easily grabbed the bottle.

Matthew looked at Charlize Theron with interest, and Charlize Theron was also looking at him.

At this moment, director Doug Liman seemed to see sparks jumping between the two. One of them was wild and the other was cold and sexy, and they were simply the most perfect couple partner.

Charlize Theron suddenly let go, the bottle fell to the ground, and the wine flowed out.

"I'll clean up!"

"I'll get a towel!"

Matthew and Charlize Theron passed by and ran towards their own goals.

Two cameramen carrying Stenikon followed Matthew and Charlize Theron respectively. Matthew took off his blazer and hung it in the corridor. He turned around and entered the study, opened a drawer, and took out a pitch-black pistol with a silencer from the back of the drawer.

He held the gun in both hands, turned out of the study, looked around vigilantly, and said, "Jane, where are you?"

"Great!" Director Doug Liman's voice sounded, "This one has passed! Take a fifteen-minute break."

Matthew handed the pistol to the temporary assistant who came over. While walking towards the dining table in the room, he unbuttoned the buttons of the shirt and took them off to the dressmaker who came up with him. He only had a vest left on his upper body. He came to the dining table, pulled open the chair and prepared to sit down. The dressmaker had already returned with another shirt.

Matthew stretched out his arms and asked the dressmaker to change himself.

Charlize Theron also changed his clothes at this time, entered the restaurant from the other side, pulled open the dining chair, and sat opposite Matthew.

After changing his clothes, Matthew also sat down.

"Are you ready to be beaten by me?" Matthew asked intentionally.

"You were beaten by me." Charlize Theron smiled. "The scenes you beat me are mostly stunt stand-in."

As soon as the two said something, director Doug Reeman walked over, pulled up another dining chair and sat down. He looked at Matthew first, then Charlize Theron, and said, "In the next few scenes, except for the gun battle scenes that began, and other bare hands fighting, we must use kitchen utensils and other household items as much as possible."

Matthew and Charlize Theron both nodded.

Doug Liman emphasized, "You must always remember that this is a family war and a husband-wife war."

He didn't say much. This is a simple and relaxing commercial entertainment movie. Whether it is his director or the two starring Matthew and Charlize, there is no need to interpret the script scenes and explore the inner world of the characters.

If this is done, a pure commercial entertainment movie is not far from the end.

Not only Doug Reeman, but Matthew also thought so. Since he played the Scorpion King in "The Return of the Mummy", he has never explored the inner world of the character in depth. On the one hand, the character setting is simplified, and on the other hand, the films shot cannot slow down to express these.

During the preparation period, he communicated with Doug Reiman. Doug Reiman specifically talked about the "Matrix" trilogy, believing that the Wachowski brothers are very good negative textbooks. The first part of the "Matrix" focuses on entertainment effects, and appropriately added some more profound elements to the entertainment. However, the film is not for exploring profound, but for deep insights to serve entertainment, so it has achieved great success, especially in terms of reputation. The later video tapes and DVDs are simply crazy.

In the last two sequels, the Wachowski brothers did the opposite, and their reputation fell. "Reloading" was a little better. After all, the first one was the foundation and the box office was impressive. However, when it came to "Matrix Revolution", the box office and reputation both fell sharply.

Doug Reemann also said at the time that if the Wachowski brothers could not reverse the production concept, they would play these mysterious things in commercial masterpieces like the last two "The Matrix", and they would definitely get worse and worse.

Today's commercial entertainment movies, fast pace and simple plot are indispensable conditions for success.

After the explanation, Doug Reeman left the restaurant, and the action guide walked in again, coordinating the action shot with Matthew and Charlize Theron.

What is filmed next will be a real family war.

After fifteen minutes of rest, Matthew and Charlize Theron were not idle. Then the filming began again. The two took turns to fire at the scenes from the bedroom to the kitchen, from the kitchen to the corridor, and from the corridor to the living room. With the precise assistance of the fireworks master, the scene carefully arranged by the crew was ruined.

After the gunfight, the two fought. There were no long shots here, basically short shots each in two or three seconds. Unlike Matthew, Charlize Theron also used a stunt stand-in in some scenes where Mr. Smith beat Mrs. Smith.

At the same time, the photo frames, wall clocks, kitchen utensils and vases carefully prepared by the prop set have become combat weapons for the two.

Just like a real couple going to war, Matthew and Charlize Theron made this carefully arranged home mess.

Doug Reeman told Matthew before that the actors' performances cannot be used to support the dramatic character relationship between the Smiths and their couples. The things around them should also have some hints, and their house in the suburbs has become a ready-made "props".

This is not just a space where food, clothing, housing and transportation are available, but a marriage relationship that is dangerous and implicated in destruction. There are too many secrets, lies and burnout in their lives.

The two of them have a very luxurious design, complex style and very spatial concept, but they are stiff and lack warmth and soul. They are more like a show rather than a home. Even though they have lived in this house for six years, there are still spaces that John Smith and Jane Smith have never touched. Those "secret structures" that are hidden and difficult to find symbolize the true identity of the people living here.

For example, John Smith's tool shed, but it has a cellar-sized hidden space, with piles of cash, bazooka, grenades and various pistols; and Jane Smith's high-end oven, as a housewife, is actually a secret storage room for high-tech weapons...

Until John Smith and Jane Smith showdown on their true identity, the house symbolizing dissonance was razed to the ground.

In the words of director Doug Reeman and screenwriter Simon Kimberg, this scene seems to be a death game between two well-trained ace killers, but in fact they have to face the problems that many married couples need to face: love turns into boredom and deception over time, living together under the same roof, but without soul communication.

Both John Smith and Jane Smith have superb skills that ordinary people can't reach, but what they fight for is not to put the other person to death, but how to live with another person for the rest of their lives.

After three days of filming this action scene, it came to the ending stage.

In the ruins of the living room in front of the camera, Matthew and Charlize Theron faced each other with guns, and the muzzles in their hands were aimed at each other's vital points.

At the beginning, the two of them had sharp eyes and fierce faces, just like a quarreling couple, and they wanted to shoot each other's head immediately.

Matthew looked at Charlize Theron, her face was covered in blood and her muscles were moving.

After this collaboration, he discovered that the acting skills of this Oscar winner are roughly on the same level as him, and he also fully understands that in this era, those who can win the Oscars' performance award may not rely on acting skills.

After a few seconds of confrontation, Matthew's expression relaxed, he sighed softly, put down his gun first, and said, "I can't do it."

Charlize Theron suddenly held his phone tightly, closed his eyes, seemed to want to shoot, and shouted with a high voice, "Come on! Continue! e.on!"

"If you want..." Matthew threw the gun directly, "Let's shoot."

Charlize Theron's finger was pulled on the trigger, and he couldn't make a move several times, and finally said, "I...I can't do it!"

Matthew stepped forward, pulled away Charlize Theron's pistol, grabbed her slender and powerful arm, and pressed her against the flat wall behind.
