Chapter 4 Running
After walking out of the woods, Chebishev first took a taxi to the nearest town. He found a place to have a meal, and then took a car to transport goods to Moscow back to Moscow. Chebishev had a set of documents that were forged by the KGB personally supervised by the KGB, and had no problems with the police. Chebishev called his former friends in Moscow and indirectly contacted Hassan's subordinates. The other party told him not to show up for the first time, and found a place to live for the time being, waiting for his superiors to decide what arrangements he had for him.
Chebishev didn't wait long, and someone came to pick him up and took him back to the gang he was originally affiliated. After confirming his identity by his original friend, Chebishev had the opportunity to communicate with Hassan for the first time. Hassan came to visit Chebishev in a car, and the two had a deep conversation in the car.
Hassan said to Chebishev with some regret: "I regret that brother, you are now wanted and cannot stay in Moscow!"
"But I don't have a place to go now. Don't you plan to care about me anymore?" Chebishev asked pretending to be anxious.
"No, I mean we want to send you abroad to avoid the limelight. We also have business abroad. When we get there, there will naturally be someone to pick you up!" Hassan explained to Chebishev with a smile.
"But I still have family members in China to take care of. What should they do if I leave?" Chebishev still felt a little reluctant. His brother was in the hands of the KGB. If he was sent abroad, how could he convey information to Balanikov? What if the other party misunderstood that he would run away, what would his brother do?
"Boss, are there really no other choice?" Chebishev begged Hassan.
"Brother, if it were not forbidden, I would not force you, don't worry! You will live a good life abroad, and I will not harm you!" Hassan continued to persuade.
"Then boss, I have to call my brother! Otherwise, I'm afraid my family will be worried!" Chebishev asked.
Hassan nodded. He was afraid that the police had already taken control of Chebishyev's relatives, so he only allowed Chebishyev to contact his family on the public phone, and he did not allow his family to go abroad on the phone. Chebishyev agreed, and he walked into the telephone booth and under the surveillance of the brothers in the gang, dialed the phone number given to him by Balanikov.
"Brother, it's me!" As soon as the phone was answered, Chebishev first spoke to remind Balanikov that he was not alone now.
"Where are you?" Balanikov asked in a caring tone.
"Brother, don't say anything, listen to me. I want to go abroad with my friends to avoid the limelight. Be careful and don't tell the police! I will send you money on time!" Chebishev implicitly reminded Balanikov Hassan of his arrangements.
"Foreign! Where have you been?" Balanikov asked involuntarily. He didn't expect that his informant would go abroad just after he was sent away. It seemed that this organization was really capable.
"I won't say anything, brother! Be careful not to tell the police anything. I'll contact you when I get there!" Chebishev explained what he wanted to say, and then hung up the phone.
Hassan listened to every word he said. Hassan came over and patted Chebishev's back, comforting Chebishev, and then Hassan said to him: "You can take the car I arranged to go to Leningrad now. I will arrange a boat to take you to Poland, and wait for the next instructions when you arrive in Poland! You can keep the money with you."
Chebishev took Hassandy's money. He saw that it was three bundles of dollars tied with rubber bands. It seemed that one bundle was 10,000 yuan, a total of 30,000 yuan. It was actually 30,000 US dollars! This was enough for a Moscow family to buy a house and a car, and he could live a leisurely life without working for several years. Unexpectedly, Hassan was so generous!
"Boss, this is too... too much!" Chebischev said in surprise.
"Haha! What's this? Work hard abroad and you can earn this number every month!" Hassan said indifferently.
After Hassan gave the money, he left in another car. Cebethov followed the others into the car and left Moscow. Fortunately, he did not encounter police officers on the way to search them. The car drove for two days and two nights before reaching Leningrad. Chebethov was arranged to rest for a day, and then his companions completed the forged seafarer's ID for him.
"There is a cargo ship that will set off tomorrow. Your identity is a sailor on the ship. There are cargos on the boat mountain that are shipped to Poland. When you arrive in Poland, you get off the ship and make this call. The people over there will be arranged what happened later!" Chebishev's companion explained to him what happened after boarding the ship, while handing him the ID.
"Where am I going?" Chebishev asked in confusion.
"We don't know. Only when you arrive in Poland will you know where you will be sent!" the other person explained to him.
In the afternoon, Chebishev was sent to the port of Leningrad. He boarded a Norwegian cargo ship. Although the cargo ship would not leave the port the next day, the crew had to prepare in advance. This was his first time abroad. He felt a little confused now, and he couldn't figure out whether he should continue to serve the KGB or do well in Hassan's team. After all, a salary of 30,000 US dollars a month, such a good job is not found there. But when he thinks that his brother is still in the hands of the KGB, there is a burst of coldness behind Chebishev. Chebishev thinks that no matter how great Hassan is, as long as he is targeted by the KGB, he will definitely not be able to get it in the future. However, Hassan can keep his money secretly and not report to Balanikov, but the KGB will not be able to do the right thing to ask for his brother's life.
The next morning, with the roar of the whistle on the dock, the cargo ship finally left the dock and headed towards the Baltic Sea. Two days later, the cargo ship docked at the Polish port of Gdansk. Chebishev left the cargo ship with his luggage. He found his contact information given to him by his partners before going abroad. The people asked him to meet in a cafe near the dock.
