Chapter 55: Spy Intelligence Network

After hearing what Vared said, the smuggler named Hal hesitated. It is the same thing to trade with vampires, but it is another thing to be a lackey for vampires. The former is usually brave enough to do it, but the latter... it is not a betrayal of any country or any country, but it is very likely to betray the entire human race. The psychological pressure this puts him is not very large.

Vared looked at the panic on his face, his expression of hesitation and disappointment changed constantly, and he understood what was going on with a slight guess. He couldn't help but sneer twice, and quietly imposed a slight hypnotic magic on him, and then said to him in a sarcastic tone:

"If I had known that it would become like this today, what did you do before? Don't tell me, you don't know what the corpses you got and what the bones would end up with. You sold the corpses of our human compatriots and made the dead souls of our mortal enemies. How serious is such a sin? The retreat has been broken by you. Have you ever thought about what kind of criminal law you will be sentenced to in Moore's hell? Burning, fried, silting, and shattering...and it is eternal. Your soul will always be in endless pain and cannot escape. It is eternal, eternal, do you know the concept of eternity?"

"I...I'm just...doing a little bit of a small deal...No, no..."

After hearing what Valed said, the businessman was so scared that he fell from the seat. He had heard of some criminal laws about death. However, he was in his prime, so he didn't think much about it. According to his subconscious mind, death was still a few decades later. Instead of thinking about what happened at that time, it would be better to think about the present more.

However, after these decades, the invisible and intangible thing was said by this child word by word and presented it in front of him. This problem, which was originally far away, suddenly became a terror in front of him. He couldn't help but be afraid.

To be honest, as a smuggler, Hal has seen many storms, and he is not so scared when he dies. But he can't stand the endless torture after death...

"Don't you believe it? Then do I want me to kill you now and let you go to hell to see it?" Vared chuckled and took out his dagger and put it on the neck of the smuggler Hal.

"No! Don't, don't-don't do this! Please! Don't do this!"

While begging loudly, the smuggler Hal crawled backwards with his hands and feet. He was completely scared by Valed...

So Vared was very obedient and took back the dagger in his hand. Then he said to him: "So what if I don't kill you? There are countless dangers and accidents in this world. And even if you are lucky enough to be free from illness or disasters. After decades, your life will end, you will still die. This is just a matter of time and time, and you can't escape unless..."

When Valed said the first half, the smuggler Hal's face seemed as if he was already desperate. Until he heard the last word "unless...", an extremely fanatical flame immediately ignited in his eyes. He rolled and crawled in front of Valed, holding Valed's thigh and shouting:

"I am willing to serve you, Count - no, Master! My Master! I am willing to do anything for you! As long as you can tell me how to get rid of the criminal law after death, I can do whatever I want!"

Vared kicked him away, looking at him like a bug. However, the smuggler Hal seemed to have not realized it, and still rolled and crawled in front of him - he didn't dare to hold his thighs, but just looked at Vared with eyes trembling and stretched out his hands, trembling lips, as if begging for something. How pitiful it would be.

So Vared snorted coldly and continued: "Of course, I have a way. What we vampires have studied is the magic of how to seize souls from the god of death Moore. We can take away the souls in hell, and even transform the living into semi-dead, and live forever. Think about it, a body with an eternal lifespan like a dead soul and can enjoy freely like a living creature... Isn't this the luckiest person in this world?"

Hearing Vared say this, the smuggler Hal's eyes became brighter. In the fear and fanaticism, there was an element called greed. All of this was seen by Vared. It also made him understand that his action was completely successful.

So he nodded with satisfaction, smiled, and added: "Of course, the premise is that someone is worth our doing this."

"Understand - Understanderstand, I am willing to do anything for you! My loyalty to you is absolute! My dedication to you is also absolute!" Smuggler Hal nodded repeatedly and swore to the sky.

"Valid, then you should do this..." Vared next assigned his mission, develop spies in various territories led by the Border Prince, provide intelligence, and increase the supply of resources needed by Sylvania. In Sylvania, Vared will also support him and expand his career so that he can serve himself better.

After talking about all this, Vared felt very satisfied. He also felt much more pleasing to the smuggler. He had risen from the level of the bug to... to the dog.

After a while, Valed did the same and accepted several other dogs. He assigned them a task to control them with post-death intimidation and magic-refined addictive drugs. He spent two years laying out an intelligence network all over the border princes.

Speaking of which, although there are many technological and magical innovations in the old continent, the political system and overall living standards are still in the dark medieval era. The use of spies among the nations is still at a simple and backward level. Take Sirvania as an example. Although some vampire adventurers who temporarily live in various human countries also act as spies to a certain extent. Some vampires who temporarily settle in human countries can play a greater role.

However, the closure of human countries in the old world, religious fanaticism, the culmination of various gods everywhere, as well as the wandering demon hunters, and the continuous bloody witch hunting activities, doomed vampires to be unable to move freely. Therefore, these vampires' spies are subject to a very large number and not many. Therefore, they often do not play a necessary role.
