Chapter 40: The Night of the Fallen

When Valed said this, Felix opposite him was stunned for a moment: "Does there be other troops in Sylvania come to help?"

"No, no, no." Vared shook his head: "Silvania didn't know what happened on the Claw Coast. Now the only ones involved are me and my sister Isabella."

"What does that mean?" Felix said: "Although I do have some ideas about Claw Coast. I have only three thousand troops in my hands. With these troops alone, I cannot fight against any enemy along the way."

"It is extremely wrong to use the army alone to fight," Vared said with a smile: "Our advantage is that we have more intelligence. The advantage of 'intelligence' alone is enough to make a lot of money."

"Is intelligence..." Felix quickly understood what Valed was thinking: "You want to threaten the Duke of Ostland with the 'chaotic' thing?"

"This is one aspect, of course it's not just this thing, listen to me..."

This round of conversation made Felix unable to help but slap the table and said, "I think you are more like a believer of Sinliezhi!" Vared smiled and said nothing. He regarded this as a compliment and accepted it.

In this way, throughout the afternoon, Valed and Felix discussed and studied each other and formulated their plans initially. Before they knew it, time passed, and it was evening in a blink of an eye. The gate of the Snake Law Siren Club opened and the guests began to be welcomed.

"You are tired, go down and rest first. Or do you want to take a walk with me?" After talking about the main business, Felix chuckled and said to Vared.

"Is there any fun place here?" Although Valed had never been here, he had heard of it. Looking at the clan uncle's ambiguous smile, he cursed in his heart: "This is a crime committed by a minor? I am not eighteen years old." As he said that, he wanted to refuse.

"It's okay. Isabella and the little girl you are traveling with have already gone out to the night market."

Just before Valed wanted to say, "I came with my sister." He refused, Felix blocked his mouth first. At the same time, he winked and said, "I'll be satisfied with you." Valed heard that Isabella had left, and his mind became a little more active.

“It’s really interesting?”

“It’s really interesting.”

"Well... then... go and have a look." After Valed said this, Felix laughed and patted his shoulder. He stood up, led Valed out of the office and walked towards the front of the club.

After passing through a corridor, the scenery in front of you suddenly became clear. Bathed under the dark blue cool-toned magic lamp, the light source was not very sufficient. In the dark corners, waiters in tuxedoes held violins and serenades. In the corners, on the sofas separated by screens, you could vaguely see some figures and hear the soft teasing of men and women. From time to time, messengers would walk over and deliver wine, drinks, snacks and other items for guests to enjoy. Vared also vaguely heard the voices of men and women from the black doors next to the hall.

"Those guys are really anxious." Vared shook his head, not polite to the determination of Scarton's residents.

"That's the exception." Felix spread his hands: "Some guys like to use addictive drugs, and they become very excited after taking them."

"That's right. So is there anything else here that specializes in doing this kind of thing?" Vared continued.

"The first floor is such a salon. The second and third floors are places where various gambling competitions are held. This is the main source of income for the club. The fourth floor has bars and restaurants for dining. The fifth floor is rooms that provide rest and accommodation." Felix introduced to Valed, "Do you want to have fun? Recently, my fleet has captured a Usulan merchant ship and captured several high elves. They are all original."

Vared whistle: "You are really capable. You can make those high elves bow their heads."

"This is not my credit." Felix chuckled, and then whispered in Valed's ear: "Hellowship Sect."

"Is it okay for Slaanes... to cooperate with them?" Vared frowned.

"Of course there is a problem. Those bastards have never been honest. They even planned an assassination of me." Felix shrugged: "But you can't give up on your food because of the choke. If you want to make enough money in such a ghost place, these despicable bastards can be of great use."

"It's hard for you." Vared sighed: "It's really not easy to fight out of the sky in such a place."

"It's all for Sylvania." Felix replied. Valed heard a hint of helplessness and fatigue from his words. However, more of it was without regrets.

"This is the backbone of our vampires and our Castein family." Vared sighed in his heart. Then he said, "Apart from the buildings on the ground, is there anything else underground? I heard something else underground."

"Hearing good," Felix said: "Yes, the first and second floors of the club have special layouts. One of them is the arena, and the second floor is the auction house for some special items."

"It sounds interesting." Valed then became thoughtful.

"Do you want to go and have a look?"

Felix then proposed.

"Then go and have a look." Hearing Valed say this, Felix smiled and led him to a brass gate, pulled out a card of crystal texture, and then slashed the gate, and the gate opened-

But the door was not the stairs that Valed thought, but a small room the size of a storage room.

"Automatic lifting? It's really a trendy thing." Vared said, walking into the bright and bright brass room with red carpet. I remember that he had seen similar things in the tower of Dekenhof College. It was just that few people used them.

Felix walked in the second time, and the door was automatically locked. Vared watched him pull the lever and lower the elevator. He asked, "Is this thing a magical power?"

"No, it's steam power. The one who made this thing was my snare of the Northland Dwarf craftsman," Felix replied.

"Northern Dwarf..." Vared nodded. Speaking of the current situation of the dwarf, there is no difference between it and the elves. The whole clan is divided into three, one righteous and one evil and one soy sauce. The good and evil of the elves naturally refer to the high elves and dark elves. The soy sauce is the wood elves that cannot be found in the forest. The good and evil of the dwarf are the dwarfs and the Chaos dwarfs, and the soy sauce is the dwarfs. These guys who were expelled from the orthodox dwarf kingdom, but are not eroded by the power of chaos like the Chaos dwarfs.

After a slight tremor, Valed and Felix stopped on the first floor underground. After the brass elevator door opened, a deafening and crazy shouting could not wait to come in. Valed frowned, but he didn't like this harsh and noisy sound. However, as Felix walked out, he followed him.

What caught my eye was a Colosseum-like circular building. A large number of magic lamps hung upside down on the ceiling, illuminating it like daytime. On the bottom of the arena, there is a piece of sand covered with sand. Valed could see that the sand on the ground was mixed with a lot of blood, even some human organs or meat pieces of unknown monsters.

"The competition... is what it means." Vared nodded secretly, and then followed Felix around the crowd and walked into the room that achieved the best. From here, you can see the full picture of the arena condescendingly.

The two waiters were wearing the clothes of waiters, but they were strong in shape and had a scimitar around their waists and saluted Felix and Vared. Then they stood behind Felix.

"What's the arrangement for tonight?" Felix asked.

"It was a battle between the northern barbarians. They fought two games, two died and one injured. Then it was time to fight the third game."

"What about the finale program?" Felix continued.

"It's a battle between an ogre and the three elves I caught last time." The waiter replied.

"Then let the battle begin early. I thought it would be more interesting than the battles of the savages in the north." Felix ordered. The two waiters saluted him after hearing the order, and then ran away quickly. After a while, the host holding the magic loudspeaker shouted: "Dear gentlemen and ladies! I am honored to announce to you that the competition process will be slightly changed tonight. The fight between ogres and elves will be staged in advance!"

As the host finished speaking, even louder cheers erupted.

"This is really..." Vared shook his head: "These vulgar and cowardly guys don't have the courage to enter the battlefield. But they are willing to appreciate the bloody battles of other soldiers from a safe distance. I really don't know what to say."

"Maybe, but they have money, and that's enough," Felix said.

"Then there will be a bet on such a game, that's right." Vared asked.

"Of course, this is one of our means of making money," admitted Felix.

"So, will the elves win, right?"

"Why do you ask that?"

"Because the combat power of an ogre is comparable to at least ten humanoid creatures. At the same time... if this explanation is true, then the combat power of this ogre is much stronger than that of an ordinary ogre." (To be continued.
