Chapter 1 Discharge

"Yeah, it's meeting the discharge standard."

Bai Yanliang's attending doctor, Dr. Cheng, put down the medical record list in his hand and looked up at him, "Yanliang, you must live a good life after leaving the hospital. When you encounter problems, remember to contact me in time. Don't be polite. After all, Uncle Cheng can be regarded as watching you grow up..."

Dr. Cheng looked at the delicate young man sitting in front of him with some complexity.

Bai Yanliang, male, twenty-three years old.

At the age of thirteen, he was involved in an extremely cruel murder case, and the victim was his only relative, brother Bai Yanren.

The case ten years ago caused a sensation in the entire Yecheng, not only because Bai Yanren's death was too terrifying, but also because the most suspected person was Bai Yanliang, who was under the age of fourteen.

When the police arrived at the murder scene, except for the broken corpses in the room, only Bai Yanliang was sitting among the blood and the remains. Moreover, from the wall to the ground, to the weapons left on the scene, all of them were Bai Yanliang's blood-red handprints.

What is even more creepy is the time of death of the deceased.

The autopsy report found that Bai Yanren had been dismembered for a whole day, which means that Bai Yanliang, who was only thirteen years old, stayed alone with the corpse in the room for a day and a night.

No one knows what he did, no one knows what he was thinking.

No sadness, no crying, no fear, no expression on his face.

His tender face seemed to be wearing a lifelike mask, making people feel unsightly.

Later, psychologists found that he seemed to have an antisocial personality disorder.

This personality disorder is also called ruthless personality disorder. The most obvious manifestation is that it is strong aggression, good at lying and manipulating other people's emotions, ignoring social moral norms, and being prone to behaviors that most people cannot accept.

Some impulsive behaviors that ordinary people only do when they are seriously injured or frightened, such as passionate killing, excessive defense, etc.

After these behaviors have serious consequences, ordinary people often feel anxious, guilty and regretful.

But antisocial personality disorder groups do not.

They can do things that hurt others with peace of mind and will not feel the pain of the victim at all, let alone sleeping every night and unable to sleep at night.

They have no empathy, do bad things with ease, use other people's kindness and trust to weave lies without being condemned by their conscience.

This incident was a big deal, and the police filed a case for handling it. The evidence left on the scene and Bai Yanliang's personality disorder all mean that he was the murderer.

However, because Bai Yanliang is under fourteen years old and does not bear criminal responsibility, the procuratorate cannot file a public prosecution with the court.

The final treatment method is that Bai Yanliang was taken into custody by Yecheng Mental Hospital, and he could only be discharged after "cured" his personality disorder.

In fact, this is just another way to sentence life imprisonment.

Because, personality disorder is not curable at all.

However, an accident happened.

Starting from the third year after Bai Yanliang was admitted to the hospital, his monthly mental state examination began to slowly change, of course, in the better direction.

He is no longer taciturn and no longer restless. Compared to the dark corners, he likes to see the vast sky more and more.

Except for the three years he was admitted to the hospital, Bai Yanliang never had any physical conflicts with anyone, or even had any arguments.

He taught all the courses in high school by himself and borrowed many boring books from the doctor.

"He is a normal person, and he shouldn't be locked in a mental hospital for the rest of his life."

This perception was gradually accepted by all doctors and nurses as Bai Yanliang's increasingly gentle and friendly behavior.

Later, he even became the only "patient" who could travel to the entire mental hospital independently without supervision.

Moreover, as far as Dr. Cheng knows, more and more young girls who have just come to the internship have been fascinated by him and don’t know where to go. After all, he not only has a gentle temper, but also has a delicate face. Judging from the stars that young people like recently, his face is obviously a very popular type.

"Thank you, Uncle Cheng." Bai Yanliang stood up and shook hands with Dr. Cheng, and said with a smile: "Although it sounds a bit strange, this is my second home, and I will come back to visit you all the time."

Dr. Cheng looked at the young man, reached out and patted Bai Yanliang on the shoulder, and smiled and said, "Go and take good care of yourself."

Bai Yanliang nodded and turned around and left Dr. Cheng's office.

Looking at his departure back, a strange thought suddenly flashed through Dr. Cheng's mind.

Antisocial personality disorder, good at deception, disguise...

"How is that possible..." Dr. Cheng smiled, patted his head, and threw away the unrealistic idea.

If all of Bai Yanliang's performances were pretending, that would be too terrible? He started pretending to be a show since he was sixteen and continued until now?

On the other side, Bai Yanliang turned around slightly, and at the last moment when the office door was about to be taken by him, he suddenly smiled and said, "Thank you, Dr. Cheng."

Dr. Cheng was stunned and looked up suddenly, only seeing the door that had been closed by Bai Yanliang.

...

"Xiaobai, you are going to be discharged from the hospital..."

"Will you come back to see me?"

"Don't forget me, Xiaobai..."

Several young nurses pulled Bai Yanliang's sleeves with eager eyes and followed him out of the door.

"Well, you have to work hard, I will come back to visit everyone." Bai Yanliang said with a smile, looking at these youthful and energetic faces.

"Yeah! I've agreed."

Amid the reluctant eyes, Bai Yanliang waved his hand and finally stepped out of this place where he had been there for ten years.

"It's been ten years, brother."

Bai Yanliang looked up at the sky and murmured in a low voice.

"Out of it?"

A low and hoarse baritone rang on the right side of Bai Yanliang.

He turned his head to look at him. A man in his forties with a beard and casual dressed face was leaning against the side of the car, smoking while watching him.

"Uncle Yang?" Bai Yanliang shouted, a little surprised.

"It's okay, I thought I only remember the little girl but not me." Yang Wanlong threw the cigarette butt under his feet, and said with a smile while stepping on it.

"How could it be? Over the years, only Uncle Yang took time to see me in the hospital every day. The police are busy at work..."

"Don't talk about these things, get in the car." Yang Wanlong greeted indifferently.

Bai Yanliang nodded with a smile, without rejecting Yang Wanlong's kindness, and took his luggage into the other party's off-road vehicle.

"I just came out and didn't live in a place, go to my uncle's house first." Yang Wanlong said casually. After a while, he took out another cigarette. Just as he was about to light it, he saw Bai Yanliang sitting in the back seat. He threw the cigarette casually and changed his mind: "Don't agree. I won't leave you when you find a job. Moreover, some things are left with me, it's time to give it to you."

"Things?" Bai Yanliang frowned slightly, and then seemed to have thought of something, and looked at Yang Wanlong's side face seriously.
