Six hundred and fifty bat crew from hell

Doolittle's No. 1 aircraft flew at the forefront of the fleet, and 16 B25s formed four four-plane formations to fly at an altitude of 12 meters away from the sea to avoid the Japanese coastal radar and carrier-based radar.

After the fleet formed a formation and flew eastward, according to previous training and flight procedures, all pilots switched the fuel switch of their landline to the secondary fuel tank that first used the turret.

After the switch was completed, the machine gunners began to reduce weight for the plane. They first filled the fuel from the 10 extra 5-gallon small fuel tanks before taking off into the secondary fuel tank of the turret, and then used a portable dagger to poke several holes in the small fuel tank, opened the hatch door and threw it into the sea. After the small fuel tank was inlet, it quickly sank without leaving any clues to the Japanese army.

When all 10 small fuel tanks were thrown into the sea to "destroy the corpse", the machine gunners began to put the 60-gallon fuel in the rear of the aircraft, and the radio cockpit was added to the secondary fuel tank of the turret many times. During the flight, when the 60-gallon fuel tank was emptied, the machine gunners who were trained to become mechanics poked out more than a dozen holes in the foldable 60-gallon fuel tank and threw them into the sea to sink, reducing the weight of the aircraft.

Finally, they used up the oil in the folding rubber tank that could hold 160 gallons of fuel, then crushed it and folded it, leaving no air, and then threw it into the sea to sink.

In order to let the pilots reduce their weight to the extreme, Jack brought a piece of cotton to everyone, urinated on the cotton, and threw it into the sea to continue to destroy the corpses...

Doolittle opened the window and let the cold sea breeze dry the sweat on his face. The temperature in the morning was very low. Fortunately, Jack was considerate and installed deicers at the front and tail of each aircraft to prevent fuel from freezing and preventing the mechanical operation from becoming dull.

The takeoff of 16 fighter jets was not smooth. In the end, Unit No. 167, nicknamed "Bat from Hell", was very difficult to take off. A mechanic's arm was broken by the propeller of the No. 16, and the deck was covered with blood and limbs. The wreckage of the limbs was covered with propellers.

Helplessly, the No. 16 aircraft could only turn off the engine and wait for the mechanic to clean up the fighter. The entire fleet could only hover in the air and wait for ten minutes, which means that the precious ten minutes of oil were wasted.

This accident cast a shadow on everyone's heart.

"Cole!"

The sweat on Dulite's face dried up, and he closed the cabin door, "When I took off just now, you seemed very nervous and kept praying for God's blessing. This is a bit different from you in normal times!"

"Because of this takeoff, we have the morale and determination of the whole of America, and this is the first time I have taken off on such a short deck, and the moment the nose touches the line first, my heart almost frozen."

Cole said and closed the co-pilot's small hatch door, "Col. What about you? What did you think when you took off just now."

Doolittle smiled: "I just did everything I could at that time, otherwise we wouldn't be flying in the air now, but we're really going to meet God."

"Oh...look..." Cole said, staring at the right side with wide eyes.

Dulite turned his head and looked at Cole. Seeing him staring at the right side of the group with wide eyes, he looked along his gaze and saw that on the right side of the group, the majestic No. 214 Mustang quickly overtook and pulled upwards, with its fast speed that was astonishing.

The nose of this Mustang is painted with a shark mouth with a blue and white saw blade. The blue sky and sun qi are painted under the wings, and rows of golden bullets are drawn on the wings of the fighter.

These achievements on the tail of the No. 214 fighter jet were drawn long before it set sail and were covered with a layer of skin. Today, the skin was removed after adding oil, to shock the Japanese devils in the east.

In order to commend Zhou Zhihan's contribution to protecting Pearl Harbor, Roosevelt specially instructed Doolittle to spray-paint the blue sky and the impressive record on the No. 214 fighter jet to boost morale and shock the Japanese devils in the East.

"God! He is so fast." Doolittle only glanced at the No. 214 fighter plane, continued to look ahead and said with a smile, "Cole, look, what is drawn on the tail of this Mustang?"

"Oh! God! His record is drawn on the wings of the Mustang No. 214... My God, Colonel, guess what is his record?"

Doolittle deliberately kept it a secret: "How many?"

Cole's eyes were almost shocked and jumped out of his eyes: "Col. If you can guess how many battles he has drawn on his tail, I'll go to China to invite you to eat charred beans."

"Then I'll guess...but that's tofu brain, not tofu brain beans." Doolittle looked ahead and smiled mysteriously, "Oh, Cole, I guess his record is 326, right?"

Cole almost threw away the map in his hand and jumped up: "What... can you guess?"

Doolittle smiled: "God! How did he do it when shooting down 326 enemy planes?"

Cole slapped his head, "Okay okay... Colonel, you already know it. Yes, it's a record of 326." Cole looked at the No. 214 Mustang and looked at Zhou Zhihan with a handsome military salute.

Doolittle looked ahead and led the team to fly: "That's why I must have him participate in this operation.

On the day our Pearl Harbor was attacked, he killed dozens of enemy planes alone, which everyone saw.

With his ability and humility, I guess this record may be underreported by him.

According to Chennard, Colonel Zhou's record in China is more than 200."

Cole could only shake his head and turn to look at the No. 214 Mustang that was rapidly rising: "I just want to know how he did it."

Doolittle continued: "I obey Reve, who came back from Britain, said that during the Battle of Great Britain, he killed nearly a hundred German aircraft by himself, which made Hitler's proud Moldes and Garland dwarf, and were beyond the reach of the world. He made the German ace pilots love and hate, want to meet him and fear to meet him.

He even killed all sides during the parade of protecting the Red Square in Moscow..."

The No. 214 Mustang surpassed all bombers, letting everyone know that after his arrival, Zhou Zhihan pulls the rod and the Super Mustang keeps pulling up and jumping continuously. In a short while, it entered a height of 10,000 meters, avoided the Japanese radar, and flew above the rear of the group. He turned on his flight helmet and took a look at the 200 square kilometers of sea and airspace. As long as it is possible to find the Japanese reconnaissance aircraft or patrol boat of the B25 bomber group, it will explode, and it will never give it a chance to send a report.

Doolittle led the fleet, unobstructed, watching several Japanese patrol aircraft on the sea along the way being exploded on the sea surface, and the bodies were floating in the sea incompletely. All crew members were glad that this super ace was accompanied.

In the morning, the climate at the sea is very cold, but the weather 600 nautical miles away from the east is particularly warm. People walk out of their homes and wander in the bright spring sunshine.

The school classrooms were full of students, and the crowds in the downtown area gradually became larger. The streets were bustling with people buying things. They didn't know that a large group of super beasts were approaching step by step.

Today is April 18, which happens to be exercise day.

Not long ago, Yuren, who received a call from Yamamoto Izuru, smiled because Yamamoto said that he would give two US aircraft carriers today as gifts for exercise day.
