Five hundred first battle

Over the base.

Two jamming balloons are raised in the east, south, west and north directions.

Every two blocking balloons are connected in series by a two hundred meters long iron chain, and a conical weather vane floats in the middle of the iron chain.

A conical weather vane is one of the aircraft targets. When the fighter's target is finished, the number of rings can be accurately viewed from the weather vane.

Each two conical weather vane is separated by six, seven, and eight kilometers, and the heights of the four weather vanes are also different, 600 meters, 700 meters, 800 meters, and 1,000 meters.

This kind of target placed between two balloon cables looks easy to hit, but it is actually very difficult, because the balloons intercept the cable are erratic in the air. At present, the rope is fixed somewhere on the ground. During wartime, the rope is fixed on the car. The balloon moves with the movement of the car, which can effectively intercept enemy aircraft at low altitude raids.

Several iron chains trembled like long snakes in the air, making a rustling sound, adding difficulty to the targeted fighter jets.

During the Battle of London, such balloons were seen everywhere over London, mainly used to prevent low-altitude raids from German fighter jets, with excellent night effects.

On the ground, more than a dozen professional target players were holding hydrogen balloons and released balloons into the air from time to time after the fighter plane was in place, which could disrupt the pilot's vision and increase the difficulty of shooting.

This way, the viewing is better.

After Kato takes off, the throttle valve is pushed to the bottom, the joystick is pulled back, and the fighter climbs at full speed at maximum angle of attack.

The climbing speed of the P40 is 585 meters per minute, and it reaches an altitude of 1,200 meters in two minutes. Kato push rod, flat rod, and the fighter changed the rear press rod and thrust. All the actions were completed in one go. The fighter made a sensitive and beautiful side roll and began to fly around the four targets.

Applause rang out on the ground.

The weather is clear today, fighter planes are flying, and the target shooting height is low, so the audience on the ground can see clearly without a telescope.

According to regulations, after the fighter climbs to 1,200 meters, it can only fly around the four targets for a round. This is to accumulate the speed and energy of the fighter, and increase the difficulty of the target while also improving the viewing level.

The wingman of the target party's wingman takes off to command the air is also to increase the viewing level. The wingman can guide the target machine to attack the balloons rising from the ground. After all, in most cases, the current air combat is sent to send at least two-machine formations to cooperate in combat.

The fighter plane flies slowly and has high target shooting accuracy, but it will inevitably increase the time spent. If the timeout is over, it will be fined, which will not be worth the loss.

Therefore, if you want to win a competition, you must complete the precise target shooting at high speed, so that you can reflect the true level of the pilot.

Fighter planes are fleeting on the battlefield, and enemy planes cannot fly slowly and wait for you to fight.

Take off first when driving the P40, and the target shooting, Shinko Shinko, who was commanding the target, switched the onboard call to a single-machine intercom: "Kato, the four wind targets are fixed and will not run away. You can put them at the end and fire at the same time, but try not to let go of the balloons rising on the ground."

"Hayi!"

Kato circled around the four wind targets and accelerated to increase the energy of the fighter. The middle finger and ring finger of his right hand twitched the weapon selection switch that was caught, leaving only two 0.5-inch Browning machine guns under the nose of the aircraft.

Each fighter has 500 bullets. Use tracer bullets. A purple indicator bullet will appear in the last 50 rounds. The bullet will be shot to the end. Whoever has a higher hit rate will have a higher chance of winning.

"Doduo..."

Kato first attacked the conical weather vane between the two balloons on the east side closest to him, and fired when it was 200 meters away from the target, with the bounce trace slightly ahead of time because the wind would shake the target.

The firing distance of Japanese pilots is different from that of European pilots. European pilots like to fire within 100 to 150 meters. The hit rate of this distance is high and the bullets can be killed.

Japanese pilots like to fire around 300 meters, mainly because they think it is better to start first. Another major reason is that the fuselage protection of Japanese aircraft is relatively fragile, especially when flying, Japanese pilots are even more unwilling to shoot at close range with thick-skinned European fighter jets.

At this time, in late spring, the south wind is gentle and the wind is light on the ground, but the 1,000-meter-long air cone head is blown up and pointed to the north, attacking from the east to the west. The target has the largest area of bombing and the number of points that can be shot is relatively the largest.

The red tracer bomb was very dazzling in the sky on a blue background. The tracer bomb just gushed out and attacked the target. Kato rolled at a small angle to avoid the conical vane that was coming towards him. The small radius quickly turned and accelerated. The fighter flew towards the conical vane on the south side at the closest distance, because when he turned around, he observed that on the ground below the west side, a balloon was first released and rising slowly.

Then every ten seconds, a bright large balloon was released from different locations on the ground.

It will take some time for the balloon to fly into the air. During this period, first remove the conical weather vane on the south side to shorten the time.

"Doduo..."

Kato opened fire again and fired a point shot. The tracer bullet bit the target on the south side and pressed the rod right after the P40 rolled a 45-degree measurement to avoid the weather vane, without slowing down, and rushed towards the weather vane on the west side.

"Diver growth rate, kill the balloon first."

Zhong Zhi Shengxiao shouted loudly.

Kato put the ball without hesitation when he heard this, dived and accelerated, calculated the advance amount of the balloon rising, and fired and hit it.

"Bang!"

After the balloon burst, a stream of red smoke emerged and flew away in the air.

There was a burst of applause on the ground, and the pilots were all aware of the goods. Kato's shooting was measured in advance, so he used fewer bullets.

During World War II, any pilot had played balloons.

Balloons are the best targets for pilots to practice shooting in advance. Compared with fixed targets or targets dragged by aircraft, balloons can better practice pilot shooting and concentration. Of course, it is also the most difficult. Only high-level pilots can practice. Rookies hitting balloons are purely a waste of gasoline and bullets while damaging self-confidence.

The balloon moves erratic under the influence of the wind direction, and the shooting must be accurately controlled. If there is a slight deviation, the balloon will float away, and it will be difficult to catch up and explode under the influence of the airflow flying by the fighter jets.

After Kato succeeded with one blow, he pulled the rod backwards and accelerated, fired at the midpoint of the upward flight of the machine, hitting a balloon behind him, and then rolled downward 180 degrees into the downward rolling of the machine, and then reached the top of another balloon, with clean and neat movements, shooting a delicate and large deflection angle shot with a fine upward and downward bounce trace, leaving a bullet rain and rolling downwards below the other balloon.

"Bang!"

The red bomb rain hit the balloon and red smoke burst out, which was very gorgeous.

P40B/C/The tomahawk jumped and attracted a burst of cheers on the ground to open fire, hitting a balloon again, exploded, and red mist floated out.

After pulling and jumping, Kato pushed the rod, pressing the rod, and thrust the rudder. When the rolling device reached 360 degrees, a huge balloon appeared exactly 150 meters ahead of him.

Kato opened fire without hesitation.

This time the advance measurement was slightly different, and the red tracer flew over the balloon, forming a parabolic drop toward the ground.

A yellow shell was spit out from the bullet trough, shining in the sunlight, falling to the ground.

"oh……"

"Bang..."

The audience on the ground first made a burst of regret, and then still applauded Kato's wonderful 360-degree roll.

Kato has fully practiced all the air combat techniques such as turning left, right, small spiral, large spiral, backward, left and right rolling, 180 degree rolling, 360 degree rolling, pulling up and jumping, bounce and dodging, etc., after hitting 4 conical wind targets, 9 balloons were shot down, 500 rounds were shot, putting the rod, and the fighter landed steadily, leaving the cabin amid the applause of the audience.

Journalists from all over the country rushed up to interview Kato...

After Kato landed, the staff on the ground immediately began to recycle four conical weather vanes and counted Kato's number of hit targets under authoritative supervision. It was kept confidential for the time being. After the Chinese Gong Yeti completed the target shooting, the results of both sides were announced at the same time, and the winner was determined based on the number and quality of the final target shooting.

When the four conical vanes were still in the air, Zhou Zhihan had already learned the number of targets Kato hit through his transparent helmet:

The south side wind cone-shaped vane, Kato hit 78 tracer bullets and hit 44 rounds;

The conical wind vane on the east side hit 75 tracer bullets and hit 40 rounds;

The weather vane on the west side hit 82 tracer bullets and hit 47 rounds;

The north side weather vane hit 79 tracer bullets and hit 51 shots.

A total of 310 bullets were fired and 182 hits were hit.

190 rounds remained, hitting 9 balloons.

Kato's performance is very excellent in the eyes of the pilots on the ground, but in Zhou Zhihan's eyes, Kato's ability to seize the opportunity and shooting skills still have great flaws.

Zhou Zhihan first took the P40 fighter plane and climbed to an altitude of 2,500 meters to hover, assisting Gong Yeti in shooting the target.

After the local personnel replaced the four conical vanes and raised them into the air, Gong Yeti drove the P40 to climb upwards at a high speed. After reaching a height of 1,200 meters, he turned around the four conical winds. Suddenly, the nose climbed upwards at a high angle of attack, which made the audience on the ground confused.

When we learned that the machine target we were going to hit today was a conical vane and a balloon, China and Japan had already formulated their own tactics.

Compared with European fighters, Japanese fighter jets have a slightly smaller power and lightweight fuselage. Most of them are low-wing-load fighters. Its advantages are their stable hovering angular velocity and a small stable hover radius. Therefore, Japanese pilots generally like to implement angle tactics in air combat, use their agile hovering ability to quickly seize advantageous attack arrays.

After several days of training, although Kato knew that the P40's hovering ability was not as good as Zero Warfare, he had already formed the habit of angle tactics, which made him very uncomfortable to switch to dive in the short term.

Moreover, in order to facilitate viewing by the audience, the height of the target will definitely be limited and not suitable for diving. Therefore, after comprehensive consideration by Zhong Yu Shengxiao and the other two, they finally decided to implement angle tactics. After all, under the current conditions, the target shooting methods that countries can use are all there, at most they only add some tricks on the original basis. When the base military announced that the target released balloons increased, they became more determined to use angle tactics.

Most of the European fighter jets have large fuselages, strong power, obvious dive performance, and slightly less agile. Most of the tactics performed by pilots are to lift up to high altitudes, dive increases energy, and launch fierce attacks, which is a big way to open and close.

Since the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Chinese Air Force has always used Western fighter jets, and pilots are more suitable for dive tactics.

After Gong Yeti turned around the four targets, the first balloon was released on the ground as required. He still pulled the fighter to a height of 1,600 meters and quickly changed it. He rolled on one side and reached the top of the conical wind vane 1,000 meters on the east side. He accelerated the dive from the side to accumulate energy. When the wind vane was still 150 meters away, he shot a point shot. Before the tracer bomb hit the wind vane, he quickly pulled the rod to avoid the steel cable. The fighter continued to dive at a smaller angle and quickly rushed to the target 700 meters high on the south side.

After firing another point shot, the fighter changed from the dive without decreasing speed. He used 45-degree side rolling instead of hovering. He quickly turned the head and made a close-range point shot. He hit the second released balloon and then made a pull-up jump. The fighter instantly rose seventy meters, catching up with the first balloon and shooting. He accelerated and pulled up to the side of the 800-meter conical wind vane on the north side. He fired at close range. The tracer bomb flew and almost all hit the target. After another pull-up jump, the fighter was 1,000 meters in height.

The audience on the ground cheered in unison.

Gong Yeti's dive-like attack growth rate was more resonant with Western pilots. He hit three weather vanes like lightning and exploded two balloons. Not to mention the hit rate of the weather vane, just from his attack method, speed and sharpness, he is far better than Kato.
