glory , shame and liberty 2

The door sounded softly three times, and William pushed the door in and saw that Charles had sat up from the bed.

"It's time to wake up," William pulled over a small table and put a surprisingly large bunch of bananas in his hand on it. "Try this."

He was wearing an old shirt that was a little yellow, with sweat on his forehead, and he looked like he had just walked under the scorching sun. The old shirt was not an Eastern style cross-collar robe.

"We... escaped?"

Charles wanted to get out of bed, but felt that his body was not very obedient. He looked down and was surprised to find that he was covered in bandages and had a splint on one arm.

"You can calm down." William didn't know where to find a coconut, and he skillfully knocked it and handed it to Charles. "Two broken ribs, one arm, and dislocated shoulders, so you won't be able to escape in a short time."

He didn't say that Charles couldn't feel the pain at all; as soon as he finished speaking, these places emphasized how serious he was injured, as if he suddenly found his presence. "Uh, pendant-"

"Here is here." William pulled his collar a little open, allowing Charles to see Regulus wearing close to his body. "You are too desperate, and you have forgotten that you can't swim?" He continued to teach his lesson, "You dare to jump down if you are dozens of feet high. I saw you slapped on the sea, and I fainted without humming. If you are a little later, I may not be able to pick you up."

Charles grabbed his head in a daze, "Where are we?"

What is certain is that they are on land - there is no sound of waves or waves, and the chirping of birds comes from outside the window from time to time. The furnishings in the house are simple and unfamiliar, and the only furniture styles are varied, as if they are collected from the whole world.

"Madagascar - the old nest of the Indian Ocean Pirates Alliance, they call this the 'free country'." William peeled a banana and stuffed it into his mouth to stop him from continuing to speak. "You have been fainting for two or three days, at least eat something first."

Charles made a whimpering sound while eating, which was him trying to speak. William ignored him and peeled another one and stuffed it. After Charles finished eating two bananas, he slowly answered his most concerned question, "We didn't run away. But... the situation is a little different now."

Charles was aroused by the two bananas, and he finally felt that he was really hungry. He picked up the coconut with his moving right hand and carefully sipped the clear and sweet juice in it.

"I'll ask me to make that shot. Captain Rouen's guys fought with Zheng for some reason. Now they all threatened to hang us." William spread his hands helplessly, "But who will exercise this sacred power of revenge, they didn't say it all - I guess there is still a slight trick that Xiaochun is mixed in - Fortunately, there is a reasonable place here, the Indian Ocean Pirates Alliance Parliament." He also opened a coconut for himself, and said while drinking, "We have the right to appeal as the victims of the kidnapping. The court will be officially opened in six days. Of course, given the identity of our Royal Navy, I estimate that more than half of the people are willing to vote and collapse us directly."

"It may also be that the votes will be repeated between letting us eat guns or throwing them to feed the sharks." Charles rolled his eyes wide. "I hope there is no option like 'becoming a eunuch'."

William agreed and nodded repeatedly. "Captain Rouen wanted to get his things back. He knew that the letter was in our hands and privately promised me that if he returned it to him, he would let us go."

"Then—what is the letter?" Charles finally heard a turn and asked with hope.

William rushed to the table and a pile of stuff soaked in sea water.

"It looks really good." Charles murmured from the cold from his head to his heels, staring blankly at the ball of something that could only be called paste. "Captain Rouen must be happy to vote to tie us to the stake."

"It's not that bad," William comforted, "I believe it, I'll just write him a new copy."

"What are you going to do?!" Charles was startled.

"I didn't say it before, there was part of it written by me." William said seriously.

"After so long, can you still remember?" Charles opened his mouth wide in disbelief, "All?"

"Of course it's impossible."

"Then how do you write it to him?"

William glanced at Charles strangely, "Can you understand the above?"

Charles shook his head.

He continued, "You have read that letter once, do you remember the contents on it?"

Charles shook his head.

"Then do you think they can understand?"

Charles continued to shake his head. If he could understand, he would have turned stones into gold, and he would have become a pirate from any other place.

"Then can they remember everything in the original text?" William smiled, his eyes flashing with a sly light.

Charles' chin almost fell to his chest. Obviously, his friend was planning to do something big.

"Although I have hated grammar and rhetoric since I was a child, talent cannot be stopped," William looked righteous. "The poems I wrote can make my cousin cry into tears."

"So...you plan-" Charles didn't know what to say.

William pushed the small table away and put on a dress for Charles. "Get up and go." He reached out to help his friend up and led him to the balcony outside. "I forged my father's business ticket when I was a child, and it took a lot of time to fake it."

Charles and William stood side by side on the balcony of the cottage, and then he realized that the cottage was built in the middle of a thick tree.

There are such continuous tropical trees around them, many colorful small houses are set up in the air, and more winding and slender branches are used as paths to connect them; people walk around the room, eat, dry clothes, and deliver goods, and walk through the trees skillfully.

Below their feet is a bustling trade street, with pavilions spreading to the coast. People from all over the world gather here, including big bearded Arabs, beautiful Asians, and dark-skinned tropical races.

"Welcome to Freedom!" William leaned comfortably on the balcony railing like a familiar local snake. "This place is a bit interesting, we have to hurry up and buy the necessary things."
