Chapter 1223 Strategic counteroffensive?

From November 1939 to March 1940, the Chinese army launched its first large-scale offensive operation since the War of Resistance against the Japanese army in North China, Central China, East China, South China and other regions.

This battle is known as the Hundred Divisions War.

The Military Commission is preparing to put 46% of the country's total troop strength and about 80 divisions into the total counterattack (so it is also called the Hundred Division War, not a certain large-scale troop strength that has been invested to reach 192 divisions, and is expected to be used for 132 divisions of attackers. In the end, the direct force of the war is about 71 divisions and more than 550,000 people.)

Among them, four of the six most elite Soviet assault troops of the National Army were put into counterattacks; among them, the 2nd Army and the 5th Army rushed to the southern Guangxi Battle, the 85th Army participated in the 5th War Zone offensive, and the 74th Army was put into the northern Jiangxi battlefield by the 9th War Zone.

In order to win the support of the United States, Britain and other countries and improve China's international credibility, the Military Commission of the National Government decided to take advantage of the increasing fatigue of the Japanese army and the exchange of troops to the country. The 44 divisions that had been trained for a year were the main force, with the second, third, fifth and ninth war zones as the main attack, and the other six war zones as the assists, launching offensive operations, consuming, and restraining the enemy in front of them.

On November 19, the Military Commission issued a winter offensive order, requiring the offensives to be launched in each theater from the end of November and early December, and ended in March of the following year. Immediately, 10 theaters successively invested a total of 132 divisions and 9 independent brigades to launch a full-scale attack on the Japanese army.

This winter offensive continued until March 1940.

To clear the Japanese army in the southern Shanxi Triangle, counterattack the Japanese army from Pinghan Railway (now Beijing-Hankou), Wuhan to Xinyangjian and Guangdong-Han Railway (Guangzhou-Wuchang), and cut off the combat purpose of the Yangtze River transportation.

The troops from the Third War Zone once invaded Nanchang, Hangzhou, Fuyang, Yuhang and other cities, and once used mines to cut off the Yangtze River shipping from the Wuhu to Anqing section.

The first war zone, the third war zone, the fourth war zone, and the fifth war zone also had some results.

Statistically, tens of thousands of Japanese troops were annihilated.

Many people in history have denied this offensive because they cannot make any achievements.

But it exposed too many problems.

As early as the end of November, the commander-in-chief of the Japanese Chinese Expeditionary Army deciphered the code of the national army (it can be seen that the national army is too secret), mastered the plans and intentions of the national army's offensive, and informed the Japanese army of various places to guard the Japanese army.

The Japanese army's advance preparation greatly increased the difficulty of the national army's offensive.

Fortunately, the Japanese army was quite despised by the previous failure of the national army's counterattack. Until December 10, before the full launch of the winter offensive, many Japanese generals concluded: "The so-called general counterattack in the third phase of the War of Resistance is definitely a dream." Therefore, the Japanese army in many areas did not prepare and the defense was not strengthened.

Zhou Xiaoshan personally believes that it is correct to fight the Japanese.

If the Japanese don’t fight, will they keep it to harm the Chinese?

But at this critical moment, such a large-scale battle was launched.

Isn't this a decision-making trick?

Are there any arguments and deductions in the battle process?

Are there any precise preparations and plans to lure enemies?

Do you think you are watching "On Protracted War" spread in China, and have to launch a counterattack at this stage of strategic stalemate?

"Xiaoshan, let me say something, are you not happy to promote you to be a commander?"

"What kind of division commander is? I am the Sichuan Army. Our Commander Pan and Chairman Pan think that I am not suitable for leaving Sichuan at this time!"

"If you miss this village, you won't have this store. You will take care of the Commissioner and the Sichuan Army. If the Central Army directly issues orders to transfer people, you Sichuan Army will not blame the Military Commission for the future for making a sarcastic remarks about the contributions and no rewards!"

Kong Xiangxi's words, let alone Liang of Qin, Zhou Xiaoshan sounded very harsh, and Pan Wenhua immediately exploded.

"Minister Kong, what you proposed for the exchange of conditions for leaving Sichuan for the War of Resistance is rewarding merits and promotions? The reconstruction of the 145th Division did not pay a penny. The promotion is not rewarding merits, but a political transaction. I think the National Government does not need to call it the government, it is better to call it the China Trading Company!"

Zhou Xiaoshan frowned and asked curiously.

"Minister Chen, who gave the committee an idea to launch a counterattack at this time? Is it you?"

While dissolving the common people, they fought fiercely with the Sichuan Army.

On one hand, the morale on the front line was low and the military discipline was sluggish.

On one hand, corruption has become popular in the rear, and government officials are mediocre and inaction.

On one hand, there is friction between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, and on the other hand, there is also a fight against each other.

A ridiculous wonder.

Who gave Jiang the confidence to launch a strategic counterattack at this time?

Do you know what strategy is?

Looking at Chen Cheng shaking his head, Zhou Xiaoshan finally couldn't help but complain.

"The rule of law in Sichuan is a pilot project, and everything is in trouble. For this reason, the generals gave all their interests to the people. Even Tian Songyao, who had long been collecting usury and providing the highest land rent, gave up his own interests, just to slept on firewood and revitalize the party and the country, hoping that in time, we can restore our great land. At this time, a strategic counterattack? Are you wrong?"

No wonder it took eight years for the War of Resistance.

Seeing several important officials in the state speechless.

Zhou Xiaoshan was sure that it was someone's decision-making.

He was not resistant to going out to Sichuan to fight the Japanese.

What conflicts with this is the command.

You should know that if such a strategic offensive is frustrated, it will be too difficult for the Military Commission to organize it again in the future.

The Sichuan army on the front line has already left Sichuan, and if it is compensated, it will be compensated.

He also pulled the Sichuan Army in the rear to compensate.

"Xiaoshan, you are the Sichuan Army and have a wide influence in the hearts of the Sichuan people and the industrial people. We used the tone of discussion. There was no order to make you obey your duties. Colonel to Major General, but it is a big threshold. If you don't say that you don't want to be a general, aren't you a good soldier?"

Kong Xiangxi was still dissuading him, but Chen Cheng and He Guoguang fell into deep thought at this moment.

Li Zongren asked a question.

"Xiaoshan, the Japanese have just lost the battle at Nomenkan and are preparing to rotate troops to repair the country. I heard that all the recruits are coming! It is unrealistic to recover the land on a large scale, but it is still OK to open up the traffic line and hit the Japanese's arrogance."

: "General Li may not know. A few days ago, we discussed with Minister Chen and took advantage of the conflict between the Sichuan Army and the Military Commission. We set up a plan to arrest the spies hiding around Sichuan and the Commission. Guess what?"

"There is something like this? How did it be designed?"

"How is the result?"

Seeing Li Zongren and Long Yun asking the process and the result, several participants couldn't help but feel funny.

"They were caught, all the people who collected spy money. The interrogation provided clues and even spies could not be caught!"

Li Zongren understood what Zhou Xiaoshan meant. Small battles like opening up traffic lines should be delegated to the war zone.

The theater is formulated and the senior generals in a small range can know.

He reported to the National Government, and the National Revolutionary Army was not ready, so the Japanese dug up the pit for the National Army first.

But some people will not be willing to delegate control of the army's operations.

"If Tang Shizun knew about it and asked him to organize the 23rd Army to launch an offensive, he would have to scold me!"

After Deng Xihou finished speaking, the Sichuan Army, Gui Army and Yunnan Army generals present were all happy.

The man once restored Hangzhou and asked the war zone to send troops to take over the defense, but in the end he was not rewarded and was scolded.

If the 23rd Army was allowed to participate in the counterattack, I still don’t know what conditions would Tang Shizun give.

"Xiaoshan, do you think it's not the time? Why?"

"Don't look at the airlines that aided China in Sichuan to fight the enemy bravely, and Nomenkan has settled. In fact, the Soviet Union did not want to go to war with the Japanese, and might even sign a friendly treaty. I knew about Germany's attack on Poland two days ago, right?"

"knew!"

"This is a big meal. Some people's attention has always been in Europe and will not sit idly by and watch the Germans eat alone!"

"I deserve it. This damn government has been clamoring to support Japan's invasion of China!"
