Chapter three hundred and seventy-fifth bow and crossbow, seal the soil

The sound of the stream depends on the terrain it is located. The more rugged the terrain, the more obvious the sound of the water flow, and the flatter the terrain, the more subtle the sound. At this time, Yang Yanqing heard the turbulent movement, and he couldn't help but stop: "Three Grandpa, there is the sound of the stream."

"It's right that the sound of the stream is right." Shu Yi said: "It's approaching, and you'll be there after walking for a while."

When the stream really appeared in front of everyone, everyone stopped at the same time. The shape of the stream was an S with a very large slope. The source of the stream was very strange. There was a huge rock at the front of the stream. There was a hole in the huge rock. From there, the water flowed out continuously. The water was very strong. When the stream flowed down, there were waves and a small whirlpool in the middle...

Under Shu Yi's leadership, everyone walked forward for a while, then turned and came to a flat forest land. They kept walking along the stream. Needless to say, the scenery on both sides of the stream was passed through the forest land, Yang Yanqing was secretly surprised. The stream was moving forward until a small earth slope suddenly disappeared, but the sound of the stream was clearly in his ears. Yang Yanqing guessed that he had passed through the earth slope and reached the front. When he approached, he dipped his fingers on the ground. It was really wet: "The stream continued to move forward to the front."

Shu Yi said: "That's right, this place is still the same as it was back then."

Qi Shi stood on the hillside and saw the stream flowing through the earth slope and rushing downwards. A huge rock stood in the stream. The huge rock was more than four meters high and more than three meters wide, with irregular quadrilaterals. It was bare on the right, and a piece of it protruded upwards on the left, one side high and the other side was low, but the other side was very neat.

Shu Yi did not let them go forward, but measured them with his steps, walked forward for about twenty steps with his back to the small earth slope, then moved to the right, walked for about twenty steps, then stopped, pointed at the ground beneath his feet and said, "It's this."

With Wu Laoliu, it is easy to dig a hole, but the hole was filled intact. After years of this, it has been mixed with the ground and no trace of the hole can be seen. Everyone dug down about three or four meters, and finally saw some vermilion colors in the soil. After confirming it was cinnabar, they knew that they had found the right place and dug a passage again. When they saw the hole in the corner, Wu Laoliu breathed a sigh of relief: "Look, it is impossible to bury it in the corner. The hole inside means that we have found the right place."

The corner inside is still the thieves hole of the past. After refilling and years of precipitation, it is still flat. Shu Yi volunteered to lead the way ahead because he was most familiar with the location of the mechanism inside. According to him, the design of the mechanism inside is very exquisite. Although Chen Pengfei tried to destroy all the mechanism inside, he only knew where the mechanism was located, but he could not find the location. The word "destruction" was not discussed. The group walked carefully in the thieves hole. There was no movement at all. A "whisper" sound came from the front, and Shu Yi shouted: "Let's go down!"

Everyone's head was against the ground, and at the same time, they hugged their heads with both hands. About a dozen arrows shot from the front. Just by listening to the sound, you can tell how strong it was. Shu Yi reminded him quickly. The arrow passed over everyone's heads and shot straight behind them. In a flash, there was no shadow. Everyone's heads were cold, as if their scalp was taken away. Qi Shi touched the top of his head and was stunned. Wu Laoliu said, "What a powerful crossbow!"

Arrows in ancient times were made of bronze. The bronze arrows of the Shang Dynasty were quite vicious, with convex ridges and triangular flat wings. When the arrow pierced into the body, the barbs on both wings would firmly hook the closed wounds and difficult to pull out. The blood grooves were like vampire bats to extract the blood of the enemy. By the Warring States Period, the emerging three-edged wing style made it more difficult to heal even if the arrows were pulled out. The corresponding blood grooves increased to six. The arrows of the Qin Dynasty increased the lead content that caused people to poison. At the same time, like some Qin swords, the surface chromium oxide technology also made some arrows long-lasting. No matter how long it took, they were still extremely sharp, but copper materials were rare. The Qin Dynasty began to try to make arrow slals with iron, but they were still made of copper.

Simply put, if you are shot by this arrow, you would rather prick it in your body all the time than pull it out, because it will make the flesh turn up and the pain will be even more painful!

Shooting was one of the "Six Arts" in the Zhou Dynasty and one of the most powerful attack methods in ancient times. In the early days, if a nobleman gave birth to a boy at home, he would shoot six arrows into the world to show the world that men wanted to conquer, which shows his status in people's hearts. The popularization of composite technology in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty greatly increased the potential energy that the bow could store, allowing people to convert more power to the bow body within the range allowed by the physiological structure, and shoot arrows faster and farther. The extraordinary strength of the ancients was amazing. The elite archer could actually pull a strong bow of 70 kilograms. It was estimated that the effective range should be between fifty and seventy meters, and the maximum range was several times.

With human power, it can reach seventy meters. If it is a sophisticated mechanism design, the range will be even longer, so it is reasonable that these arrows will be fleeting.

Qi Shi was still shocked, so Wu Laoliu simply turned around and returned, probably because he wanted to take the arrow back and study it. After a while, Wu Laoliu came back. Unfortunately, his hands were empty. Yang Shijian asked, "What's wrong?"

"I can't pull it out at all." Wu Laoliu said: "Only a little exposed is left, I picked up the mud and didn't pull it out."

Yang Yanqing was secretly shocked. Wu Lao Liu was very powerful. If he couldn't even get it out, he thought that the force just now would be as strong as possible. If he ejaculated on his body, it might penetrate directly and leave a big hole on his body!

The group gave up the mechanism of pursuing the arrow and continued to move forward. Shu Yi successively cracked the stone nail board and sling talc. When he reached the front end of the hole, he saw two tomb passages stretching in, one on the left and right, and the hole had been directly connected into the tomb passage!

"So high!" Qi Shi said: "In my experience, it is eight meters high. It is said that Qin Shihuang thought of many ways to prevent theft of tombs, including the mountain as the tomb and the land was sealed for thirty meters."

Wu Laoliu said: "The depth we dug, plus the height of the thief hole, is about thirty meters, which is in line with the statement that the soil is sealed for thirty meters."

This so-called burial is actually commonly known as the tomb. Tombs before the Eastern Zhou Dynasty did not have burials. Since the ancients believed in the soul, they had to pray to their ancestors first in everything. It is better to pray directly in front of the tomb to pray directly. In order to more conveniently identify the location of the ancestral tomb, they built soil or planted trees on the top of the tomb as a symbol, but later it became a symbol that showed the identity and status of the tomb owner.

As an imperial tomb, fence is more important. Fence seems to be simply piled up on the tombs on the ground, but it is very particular. Especially as an imperial tomb, there are generally three ways to fence the earth.

The first type is to build soil into tombs. It is a type of soil sealed by the tombs of the emperor in the early days. It is called Fang Shang, which is built with layers on the tombs of the emperor, making it a square cone with small tops and large bottoms, just like a bucket that is upside down. Because its upper part is a square flat top and has no tips, it is called "Fang Shang", also known as "Fu Dou".

The second type is to use the mountain as the tomb. It uses the mountain's peaks as the tombs. The imperial tombs of the Tang Dynasty adopted this form from the beginning. The Zhaoling Mausoleum of Emperor Taizong of Tang Li Shimin was chosen to bury the Emperor of Tang Dynasty. Jiuji Mountain, which is more than 1,000 meters above sea level in Liquan County, northwest of Chang'an, was selected as the tomb and built. It is said that this burial method was proposed by Empress Changsun, which was actually Li Shimin's own proposal, in the name of Empress Changsun, and she wrote on the inscription for Empress Changsun.

It is said: "Why do you have to be in the tombs and have it for yourself? Now, because Jiuji Mountain is a tomb, there is no gold, jade, people, horses, and utensils, all of which are made of earth and wood, so that the thieves and thieves can calm their minds and keep them alive without any burden." This is said, in fact, Li Shimin was not a small burial, but a very generous burial. Taking the mountain as a tomb is just a majestic momentum of the mountains that is difficult to create by man-made to reflect the grand spirit of the emperor, and it can also achieve the purpose of preventing robbery and excavation.

The third type is Baocheng Baoding. The square-shaped seal of the imperial tombs that were popular in the Qin and Han Dynasties continued to the Song Dynasty. However, after the Tang Dynasty, the emperors were moved by the form of the mountain and the mountain as the tombs, because the sharp edges of the square-shaped mounds were easily eroded by wipers and became round and dull, and the mountain shape was difficult to be as square. Therefore, in the late Tang and Five Dynasties, many imperial tombs had round shapes, and those who fought back were called steamed buns.

Shu Yi said: "Pengfei said so at the beginning. This place is in line with the tomb of mountains and is unique, so the people are so excited. Those who come in Chuchu probably thought they had found the Qinhuang Underground Palace. Unfortunately, you can tell what happened if you walk further. There is more evidence inside that it is just a pseudo-tom, which is strange..."

Shu Yi seemed to have thought of something, frowned, and Yang Yanqing asked, "What did you think of?"

"It's okay. I always feel that we have been here, but we haven't found any other thieves." Shu Yi said: "Forget it, let's go in first, let's take all the things you have prepared."

"Uncle San, there is no thing left in the car." Yang Shijian said, "It's all here."

"That's good." Shu Yi said: "You guys cover your nose."

Everyone was stunned. What does it have to do with bringing things and covering their noses? Shu Yi said: "I will take you to the left tomb passage first. There are the fewest mechanisms there, and the things inside are also one of the reasons why we rule out this is Qinhuang Underground Palace."

"Did Grandpa Three decide to turn it back?" Yang Yanqing said: "It is not where "Qiyun Lu" is found."

"That's right." Shu Yi said: "Let's go, go early and come back soon."
