Chapter 13 Mutiny (4)
(I released the Big Three, Hoffman, Albert and the protagonist together. You can guess who started the mutiny, haha.)
Restart Congress and elect the Constituent Assembly!
At the beginning of July, the whole of Europe was frightened by a letter to German compatriots by Rudendolf. The imperial prime minister, the regent and the chief of staff of the army seemed to have been slapped hard from the air, and in their respective offices, they were at a loss. Germany's allies, Vienna, Rome and Istanbul, were in a mess, and did not understand how Germany, which regarded national unity as more important than life and death, was dragged down by a war that could already see the dawn of victory. As for the Allies, they could only try to suppress the idea of laughing to the sky and wait for the follow-up doubtfully.
It is no wonder that the Allies are too scheming, unless they are delusionalists, even the most optimistic Allies about World War I would not have thought that Germany would destroy the city walls so completely. In the history of the thousand-year-old war of mankind, cases of war destroying strong empires are common, but few countries, when they have the upper hand, throw aside the fierce war involving the survival of the country and the rise and fall of the nation, expose domestic political contradictions to the sun, and use inefficient democracy to solve the problem.
There is a United States of America on this planet that boasts freedom and is considered the last hope of mankind, but even this country will have a wartime state of infinite concentration of power. The Allies are not clear about the violence and perversion contained in Germany's seemingly rational body, nor do they understand the group tragic aesthetics of the Germans who often make a stance against the world. They do not believe that Germany will hold a political election at this time that may trigger domestic opposition!
In the following days, the situation became clear, and the Allies realized that they had a misunderstanding of Germany - this empire had never had two types of people, either geniuses or lunatics, and Heidi Sileme was just an exception.
As soon as Rudendolf's "Letter to German Compatriots" was released, the German political arena was in turmoil and various forces were quarreling in Berlin. Some German government officials, military corps and conservative Junker landlords stood up and clearly opposed the restart of parliament and election of the Constitutional Assembly. They believed that those "despicable and dirty jumping clowns are not qualified to determine the future of the empire." Radical supporters of the imperial system even bluntly said that "the empire should not forget the tradition that continued from the Teutonic Woods." Rudendolf was a "accomplice of socialism" and a "perfect traitor" in Germany.
Behind Rudendolf is the support of the Imperial Army, as well as the Junker Consortium and the industrial trusts. Even the supporters of the traditional naval sense - the imperial pan-Germanists, small and medium-sized industrial and commercialists and university professors have made momentum for Rudendolf, either openly or secretly - for a long time. The elites who ruled this empire were all officers from Junker Landlords and Junker Landlords. They were poor and conservative, and they retained many iron-blooded factors and militarist traditions for this empire that were enough to support Germany's standing among the world nations, but at the same time, they also excluded other forces including the emerging Junker Consortium, the Rhine Consortium and other industrial trusts into the center of the empire's power. Even the tycoons who control the imperial economy, finance and industry lifelines can only call the wind and rain in Congress and local councils, let alone naval supporters and workers who had to share this limited rights with the tycoons.
Rudendorff's supporters quickly gained the upper hand. In the second week of July, Albert's appearance became the last straw that overwhelmed the camel.
Although Rudendolf deprived the North of the suffrage area, the Social Democratic Party and its branches still announced their determination to support Rudendolf, praising the Emperor's Director for finally "doing something meaningful from the standpoint of the people."
As soon as Albert finished speaking, Berlin broke out. Faced with the surging public opinion, unless Prime Minister Hedering, Regent Max and Marshal Hindenburg decided to defeat the enemy and mobilize the army to eliminate Ludendorf, the anti-Ludendorf power would have to be forced to surrender by Ludendorf's move from being cut off from the bottom of the pot.
"While regaining the identity of the Social Democratic Party and allowing them to participate in this congressional election in exchange for Albert's support, the suffrage of the Social Democratic Party in the strongest places and suppressing the former largest party in Congress, it is like we don't know that Rudendolph created the Motherland Party last month with the support of the Imperial Steel Association, the consortium and the industrial trust!" A luxurious room in the Adelon Hotel in Paris Square in Berlin was brightly lit. The Prime Minister was black.
Delin stood in front of the windowsill, gently lifting up a corner of the curtains and demanding the reopening of the protesters in Paris. He snorted coldly and continued: "It's like we don't know that he united us, used Albert's rebel soldiers to drive away the imperial emperor without bloodshed, and then left us without the emperor's protection and shot ourselves in the foot. He wooed Sileme's supporters, and used Albert's rebellion to support the Congress, and used the motherland party to detour to control the entire empire!"
Marshal Hindenburg, who had a Frederick-like beard, wrapped his hands around his chest and quietly shrank on the sofa. He seemed to have fallen asleep. He only opened his eyes slightly when Prime Minister Hedling mentioned the name Silem and his lips moved.
"But you have to admit that Rudendolf's plan is closely linked. Now we are already too far on the wrong path. Faced with Rudendolf's thorough open plot, we are really not much room for choice, unless..." The Regent Max looked at Hindenburg, the Chief of Staff of the Army, who had his head hanging down and said nothing, and seemed to be half-hearted: "Unless we resolve the troubles in Berlin with decisiveness!"
"This is impossible!" Hindenburg seemed to be awakened. He raised his head quietly and looked at the Regent Max, who was almost speaking the word mutiny, shook his head and murmured: "This is impossible. The officers' regiment does not violate the tradition of Teutonic principles, and I do not allow the army to have stories that betray traditions!"
"Marson, we don't have much time!" Hedrin interrupted Hindenburg's speech and shouted at the army's spiritual leader.
Marshal Hindenburg immediately stopped and retreated to the sofa and remained silent.
"The only army that Rudendolf has fully mastered is the Western Front Army. General Hoffman of the Eastern Front Command has always been inconsistent with Rudendolf. We can plan an accident, use General Hoffman to control Berlin, and kill some speculators who are trying to introduce the empire into the path of military dictatorship." Prince Max finally tore through his gentle veil. Among the three giants, he had to take risks in order to save his authority. He was thin and clenched his fists and took a step forward.
He stared at Marshal Hindenburg fiercely and said, "After the cleaning, you will come forward to appease the army, General Hoffman replaced Rudendolf's current position, promised enough resources to the Navy and Heidi Sileme, and then the empire returned to the right track. As long as General Silme and the Ocean Fleet are still there, the war will not change much. The British cannot support France, and the Americans cannot fly the North Atlantic. At most, we have only lost a practical man who is not weak in military and economic terms..."
The luxurious room fell silent, Prime Minister Hedling and Regent Max widened their eyes, holding their breath, and awaiting uneasy for Marshal Hindenburg's response.
