53. French Romance (Part 2)

On the third day, the sky in Paris was cloudy, and William and his group came to the montmartre district in the north of Paris, the place with the strongest artistic atmosphere in Paris. There are many painters here to provide portrait painting services. This reminds William of the portraits of the magic world that retain a person's personality and memory. There are also magicians in the magic world who paint portraits for others like this. Almost every noble family has portraits of ancestors in the family, but these portraits have no soul. Although they can think, they can only be regarded as a projection of their predecessors in the world.

William and Granger's family spent their own portraits, which were painted very similarly. William and Hermione exchanged their portraits. William and others continued to walk forward, and an old man playing the harp on the side of the road attracted William's attention. The old man had a familiar magic fluctuation. The Granger's family was still admiring the works presented by the roadside painter. William used the excuse to buy some drinks and walked towards the old man.

"Hello, you play the harp well," William took out a franc and put it into the old man's box.

"Thank you, young man, correspondingly, I have something to give to you." The old man stretched out his hand

William was very strange, but out of politeness, he reached out to shake hands with the old man.

A coin-like thing was sandwiched in the old man's hand, and the moment he shook hands, he handed it to William. William wanted to see what the coin-like thing was, but the old man spoke at this time.

"Your friend is here, young man" motioned William to put away the things.

"William" Hermione said, "I see you are gone, so I'll come to you."

"Ah, this old man plays the harp very well, I'll come and pay tribute," William said with a smile

The old man played "Paris Holiday", the music in an old Muggle movie, which was very beautiful.

"You play so well," Hermione nodded and said, "But it's time for us to leave, mom and dad are waiting for us."

"Okay Hermione" William glanced at the old man again. The old man didn't open his eyes, but just played the piano silently.

They were watching all kinds of art works all afternoon and bought a lot of interesting things, just like 798 in Beijing, where the artists here always had attractive creativity. William forgot the coin-like thing, he put it in his pants pocket and ignored it. What is more important now than accompanying Hermione's family. This coin was not remembered until William and his trip ended.

On the fourth day they went to the vineyard, and they changed into work clothes on the farm to pick grapes and had a fruit meal in the vineyard. The owner of this vineyard estate was very good friends with the Granger family. There were horses here, but William was not good at riding horses. On the contrary, Hermione was different. She rode a docile white mare, very elegant. When Mr. Granger joined the army in his early years, he was under the British Royal Cavalry. Hermione inherited Mr. Granger's courage and riding talent.

William was thrown off by the horse again. Hermione giggled. William walked to the horse and held the reins.

"I promise, if you let me make a fool of myself in front of my girlfriend again, I'll shave your tail off" William threatened the horse.

The horse lowered his head as if he understood William's words and let William ride on his back. William smiled big at Hermione.

Hermione saw the horse suddenly become docile and suspiciously looking at William, with an innocent expression on his face. William has had the ability to control small animals since he was a child.

The two rode to the river, leaning back together, quietly listening to the sound of the running water. William suddenly withdrew his back, and Hermione fell down due to inertia, but fell into William's arms. William bent down and kissed him deeply. Both of them were very moved and ended the short four-day holiday.
