Chapter 15 The Young Guard

Following Jiang Feng on a trip were two teenagers selected by Jiang Feng from his personal guards.

One was born in the old Guangzhou army, with the surname Chu, and the other was born in the Gushi native Chen family.

Both of them are young, literate, and able to ride horses. They are only sixteen or seventeen years old and have a certain foundation in martial arts.

The young man surnamed Chu was recommended by Zhang Yue to Jiang Feng. He was an orphan and grew up with a fortune teller. Later, the fortune teller died of illness. He joined the Guangzhou Yajun at the age of thirteen.

Originally, Jiang Feng was considering cultivating him as the elite of the tooth camp, but considering that Jiang Feng also needed someone to take care of him when he went to Bianliang this time, Chu Qi was young, but he was extremely calm and favored by Jiang Feng, so he recommended him to Jiang Feng as his personal guard.

Another Chen Shi is a native of Gushi. Although he was benefited from the Chen clan, his father died early, and he was a concubine, so his family was in decline and he joined the Gushi army early. However, this son's personality was a bit off, but he was quick to react. In addition, he followed the people of his clan to Bianluo when he was young, so he was recommended by Gu Minghai and was also attracted by Jiang Feng.

"Mr. Yu, do you need to go to the county town to rest?"

From Gushi to Yincheng, we set out at Chenshi, and rested at an inn called Duanji in the middle, and we didn't see Yincheng County until Youshi.

Jiang Feng has been to Yincheng many times. From a distance, Yincheng looks like a dilapidated small land temple. However, as can be seen from the flags on the city gate tower, Du still strives to show their control over the place.

Two wooden refusal horses were lying on the avenue outside the city gate, one left and one right, and several soldiers with guns and knives were still vigilant. The figure of crossbowmen could even be seen on the city tower.

Jiang Feng shook his head, "We won't go into the city anymore, walk around for another period and rest in Shuangliujiuji."

Shuangliuji is a small market town 30 miles east of Yincheng. This is the only way to Yincheng to Guangshan. In the south, the business trips from the Sanguan of Dabie Mountain, Baisha Pass, Muling Pass, and Yinshan Pass are not only selected by the three passes of the Dabie Mountains, but also by the three passes of Yincheng County, except for the Gushi line to Yingzhou and the northern Shouzhou line, the other routes, such as those who go to Guangzhou and Caizhou line, can only choose Yincheng, and go directly north after the Shuangliuji tries to the Jian.

The boiling water burned her feet. Jiang Feng felt that the pores in his body loosened with the heat, and an indescribable sense of comfort spread throughout his body.

Jiang Feng is not a person who has never left the house. When he was in the scout team of the Gwangju Governor's Mansion, he went out for a month or two. When he was hiding in the ant thief's nest, he stayed for three or four months before returning home. He relied on his legs to walk, and he was not as tired as he is today.

This battle did make Jiang Feng a little confused.

The wounds on the shoulders and thighs were only temporarily scarred. If there were seven or eight days, Jiang Feng would be sure to heal, but now there is no such time.

When you go out, there is not so much attention.

It is common for Jiang Feng to have a three-person shop. It turns out that he has slept anywhere when he is a scout. It is common for more than ten people to sleep in a bunk. The sour smell of sweat, odor of feet, and body odor mixed with the smell of shit and urine in the corner of the toilet, Jiang Feng can be as safe as possible.

After a simple wash, Jiang Feng got on the kang.

Seeing the two of them carefully pressing the deshewn narrow slash saber under the pillow, clamping themselves in the middle one left and right, and facing the window, Jiang Feng was also a little funny.

This was probably something that Zhang Yue specifically advised, but if he needed to rely on these two people to protect the safety, I was afraid that he would not be able to get rid of the bad luck.

People who practice martial arts generally need to regulate their breathing and refine the Xuan Qi of Yuanli in the morning and night, especially before they are thirty years old. Chu Qi and Chen Shi can be compared by Zhang Yue and Jiang Feng, so they are naturally the best in this regard.

Jiang Feng also intentionally observed the practice status of the two. Whether it was Chu Qi, recommended by Zhang Yue, or Chen Shi, guaranteed by Gu Minghai, they all had a considerable foundation.

Jiang Feng also asked the two of them that Chu Qi received some guidance from basic practices when he was following the Gua Master, while Chen Shi was a member of the Chen family. Before his father passed away, he was quite favored by his father and had also received guidance from some martial arts people in the Chen family.

Not every big family has accumulated martial arts, nor is it that every big family member has talent in martial arts practice. In fact, every big family member, especially important members, will choose the way they are good at, whether they are good at writing, business, martial arts practice, or magic research. This is normal.

It is dangerous to maintain a large family and to prosper and to be prosperous.

Although the Chen clan of Gushi is also a local clan, it only has a lot of soil and forests in Gushi fields. The county town has monopolized the fields such as iron smelting, grain, and freight. For example, the timber management is controlled by the Zhang clan led by the county magistrate. The Chen clan is not very good at both martial arts and magic. Like Chen Shi, he has just followed an elder who traveled to the Chen family to travel to transport abroad to practice some foundation-building methods. However, he still has some talent in this area. In addition, after his father passed away, his family was in trouble and he was also devoted to practicing hard, so he was lucky.

When accepting these two, Jiang Feng also spent some time thinking and thinking. Young people and martial arts foundation meant they still had the potential to build; their personality was either calm, smart, and proficient in literature and writing, and they were not weak in comprehension, and they were worth working hard on polishing.

It is not easy to select these two people from about a dozen people.

There are not many talents in the Gushi army with unique talents. Think about it, those with truly excellent talents will either be taken away by wealthy families or stand out by themselves and become successful in their studies and sell to the imperial family. Not to mention the emperor, they will also choose good birds and trees to live in. Join the army, especially those in small prefectures and counties like Guangzhou. You can't count on too many.

Jiang Feng didn't care much about this. In his opinion, as long as he has a certain talent, he will rely more on his own efforts and guidance, and in the end he will depend on the opportunity.

My talent is not very superior. Of course, if many things brought by time travel can be called talent, I will be extraordinary. The foundation laid by the practice of "Five Animals Essence" and the accumulation brought by "Qingnang Shu Jiyao", I can already touch the gate of the Heavenly Realm.
