Chapter 9 The Traveler's Tale

Chapter 9 The Traveler's Story

"I really came to this country the day I met you, or I could say I had just arrived in this world." Zhao Mian explained to Yoshida Ichimi in a very serious tone, "But, things about me may be more complicated than things about Fire Mist Warriors. Would you like to listen to me?"

Yoshida Kazumi almost hesitated and just nodded quietly.

"So," Zhao Mian slowly walked back to Yoshida Ichimi on the way back to Yoshida's house, slowly telling it in a certain emotional voice, "This is a story about a boy who has lost his home."

The time when this story takes place cannot be known. Endless nothingness disrupts everything's passing, and time cannot be unexpected. It is certain that only a story that does not happen in the present and the future, but is just a past story.

The beginning of the story is not a very beautiful beginning. In the endless nothingness, in a world, a teenager on the blue earth suddenly disappeared from the earth for some unknown reason. The teenager has his family, his friends, his memories, everything about him.

The boy who suddenly appeared in another world took a long time to gradually adapt to the new world. With the help of some people he didn't know, he began his life in another world. Although he missed his previous life very much, and although he missed his parents, relatives and friends at home very much, he still accepted this world.

But, the war suddenly broke out. Threats from Azeroth always threatened the planet, and the demon's minions were always lurking under the unknown undercurrent. One day, the village where the boy lived suddenly broke into a double-headed lava dog. How could a small human village resist the attack of such a high-level monster? Many people fell on the periphery of the village. However, the posture of those who fought for their families shocked the little boy.

The boy who had no place to live again had to start wandering. But a two-headed lava dog was just an insignificant monster among the advance troops of the demon army. The young man with little ability walked on this crisis-ridden continent, just to die. The problem was just the order of time.

But maybe it was God's pity. When the boy met a demon again, a team of paladins happened to pass by. The boy was taken back to the camp.

The boy knew very well that people without strength were powerless after all. He wanted to gain strength, but he didn't know how to do it. The boy was not a smart person, but if he was just strength, there was always a way, right?

The boy began to secretly try to move some things with great weight, hoping to gain strength in this way. However, he was soon discovered. Uther was an old man worthy of respect. He tolerantly forgiving the faults of a young man and asked him to choose whether to learn the holy light, or take a letter from him to Dalaran to explore the path of arcane.

The boy chose Holy Light, and he didn't know what the difference between these two things was. The boy just knew that the paladins who brought him back to this camp were the users of Holy Light.

The war continued in his footsteps, and countless lives were thrown into the meat grinder and turned into stars all over the sky. The boy also grew up slowly in such a world, and he became a hero who could stand alone. Whenever he appeared on the battlefield, his high morale always favored the warriors under his command. The holy light appeared from time to time in the battlefield, saving the lives of every noble warrior who fought to guard his home. Until a news came, Uther died and the Knights of the Silver Hands were disbanded.

No life is immortal, and anyone will have the day to die when they grow old. However, dying from betrayal is not included. Death in battle is a kind of glory, while dying from conspiracy is just a shame.

The boy led the warriors who were willing to follow him and chased the despicable coward.

Unfortunately, the boy arrived too late. The despicable coward had already gone away, and what was left was nothing but scars and plagues everywhere.

The war soon ended, the new world established a new order, and the young man settled in the remaining capital of mankind: Stormwind.

The young man was not very popular with the nobles in Stormwind City, and the young man did not want to compete for power and profit with those nobles.

He began traveling around the world.

Although the war has ended, the huge scars caused by the war are not so easy to repair. The boy is a paladin, and he will be helped by him in every place he passes. Gradually, the boy has a considerable reputation throughout the world, and legends about him are circulating in the crowd. Children of all ethnic groups also want to be people like him. He has become a hero.

During the trip, the boy also met all kinds of people, some became friends, some became partners, and some became enemies.

The boy and his friends made one achievement after another. The glorious deeds were passed down throughout the world.

However, everything has an end. Many years later, the despicable cowards were punished as they deserved, and the disbanded Knights of the Silver Hands were reborn. Even the crazy guardian of the black earth that gave the world a huge pain was defeated with the help of the boy and his friends. The boy was a little tired, some of his friends had already left, some had just met recently, and some had accompanied him through many storms. Many people lost their ambitions and pride of the past. Now it is time to return to their hometown.

The boy also felt a little tired, so he did not choose to go back to Stormwind City, but went to Theramore to meet an old friend whom he had not seen for a long time and one of her elders. He wanted to find an answer here.

He wants to go home.

But he didn't know where his home was. His family should still be waiting for his return. But he couldn't return.

Maybe someone knows. That answer tells him.

Going to those ancient ruins and looking for the power of the ancient gods, maybe you can find the answer.

Then, go.

He kept searching along the clues, until the end. There was only one way to tell him at the end.

Search through that endless nothingness, you will always find what you want.

Then go. The boy said goodbye to all his companions, friends, and enemies. He took the first step towards the endless nothingness.

In the endless nothingness, everything seems so chaotic. Here, you are moving forward and retreating at the same time; time is passing forward and backward; you exist and pass away at the same time; you are moving and still at the same time. Only the personal will is very firm in nothingness can you maintain yourself in the endless nothingness. In nothingness, you can find nothing; in nothingness, you can find anything.

However, the boy also understood one thing.

At the beginning, he did not accept the world of Azeroth, but Azeroth accepted him. It was Azeroth who protected him who was exposed to nothingness.

"The journey in the endless nothingness is just a journey forward. And this world is just a stop to stop in the endless nothingness." Zhao Mian stopped moving forward and looked back at the thoughtful Ichimi Yoshida, "I am an outsider who is not popular with the world. I can only travel between countless worlds until I find a world that can accept me, or find the world that I originally belonged to. Do you understand?"

Yoshida Kazumi shook her head in trouble.

"That's it." Zhao Mian sighed, "It's okay if you don't understand. Don't think about it first, you're home."
