Act VII The Civil War in Vietnam

The British, who had been forced to the edge of the cliff by a beard, were indeed easy to pass. They were always facing the danger of national destruction and could not delay their time. It can be seen from the application for destroyer purchase by Churchill to the Americans that in less than three days, more than 20 letters of help were sent out, and they wanted to send them again in a minute without any gentlemanly manner.

The tragic situation determined the British's desire for even the slightest help. They lacked the capital for negotiation, so they had no choice but to meet Roger with lollipops in their hands. The interests of the French and the Dutch were betrayed. Britain just lost a Singapore and received powerful supplies and more substantial aid forces that could double the scale of the naval escort destroyers.

If this result would not be considered as to what changes would be made to the post-war world pattern, then the British had a good reason to shout for themselves: "Value! True value!"

However, compared with the painful and happy British people, Germany and the United States began to feel dissatisfied with China.

Germany was extremely dissatisfied with Roger's push toward his vassal state to his enemy, believing that this was a kind of naked betrayal! As a result, the originally hot relationship between China and Germany quickly cooled down. Although the Germans also understood that they needed the support of China and did not express their dissatisfaction too much, the cooperative relationship between the two parties could not return to the level of intimacy in the past.

Roger had expected this result, and he was not worried. If he stood on the side of the winner-alliance in history, the Germans' attitude, no matter how bad it was, would not affect China far away in East Asia. Even if history changed, the Germans conquered the Soviet Union and eventually forced the Americans to withdraw from the war, then there was no problem. Too long distance made the Germans unable to attack China, and the relationship between the two sides could only return to normal.

Besides, Roger was quite at ease psychologically. He knew the situation in the history of the Germans. Now he has given Xiaowang so much help and made up for so many shortcomings. For Germany, Roger has done his best. Can he find a better partner in the world?

Finally, due to geographical location, even if Roger does not alienate Germany, he cannot continue to trade. Roger cannot transport things to the Germans even if he wants to sell things to the Germans. Submarine smuggling? It would be strange if Roger is interested in that size of trade.

Compared to Germany, which gritted teeth, the attitude of Americans on the other side of the Pacific is more worthy of attention.

As the world's largest power with profound interests in Southeast Asia, since China gained an advantage in combat against Japan, there has been a voice in the United States that believes that China is a much more difficult opponent than Japan and should regard China as the imaginary enemy of the United States.

However, due to the prevalent isolationism in the United States and the connections Roger had previously operated in the United States, this voice has never been very loud, but now it is different.

Although Roger has a huge chain of interests in the United States to speak for him, the expansion of China's power in Southeast Asia has indeed caused concerns among many Americans led by Roosevelt. They are worried that China's further expansion will affect the interests of the United States in the Philippines. They may even embark on a path like Japan to regard the United States as an imaginary enemy.

Although Roger repeatedly stated through his relationship that he would never continue to expand his sphere of influence in Southeast Asia, and repeatedly stated that he would not harm the interests of the United States in the Philippines, the Americans obviously did not believe Roger's rhetoric and eventually unilaterally initiated the sanctions process.

However, since Americans are unwilling to break up with Roger, this time the sanctions are more like a blow, reminding Roger that the power of Americans is sacred and inviolable. As for the content of the sanctions, there is nothing important, most of them are things with symbolic meanings greater than actual meanings.

For example, it announced that it would suspend the export of iron ore to China for half a year. However, with the end of the war, the production scale of steel plants in Qiongya dropped rapidly, and the iron ore stored in the war period was not used up in a short period of time. Even if the Shilu iron ore on the island was used up, it was not fun. For example, it was prohibited to export corn from China to the United States. Well, in fact, China has never exported a grain of corn to the United States.

The Americans only expressed their attitude through this incident, that is, they did not want Roger to enter the South China Sea too much. Americans need China to turn their attention to the north and fight the Soviet Union's red empire to the death, so that the United States can rest assured.

In fact, Roger did not have the idea of continuing to expand his interests in the South China Sea. Extending too rapidly will not only arouse the vigilance of European and American countries, but also his attention in front of him is not slapped by the Americans, and he has long been on the Soviets in the north. He really doesn't want to invest too much energy in the mud of Southeast Asia.

Although it is not comfortable to be used as a gun, the conflict of interest between China and the Soviet Union is indeed irreconcilable. Unless on the one hand, on the one hand, admit defeat, it is necessary to decide the superiority. In order to better deal with the Soviet issue, Roger felt that it would be better to simply deal with the matter in Nanyang.

Roger has always believed that an obedient puppet government is far more capable of plundering colonial resources than an efficiently exploited colonial government.

These two situations are like slavery and feudalism in human society. Although the slave owner looks glorious and even the lives of the slave are in his hands, the productivity level of slavery is actually really low, because slaves are prone to slack off without hope and prone to trouble.

The same is true for the colonies. Give them some sweetness and let them evolve from slavery to feudalism. As long as there is no such thing as the industrial revolution, the rule of the authorities will still be quite stable. The sect leader who hid behind the scenes still holds the power of life and death in the colonies, but only puts a layer of civilization on the naked atrocities.

Therefore, after taking Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, Roger set off a storm in Southeast Asia that later swept the world. Historical books of later countries called Roger's move "the prelude to the nation-level movement around the world."

……………………………………………………………………

Fan Xuexin sat on the chair of a street vendor with a comfortable face while eating breakfast while looking at the newspaper in his hand. Although this is just a very, very ordinary thing that ordinary people have to experience every day, for Fan Xuexin, he has a completely different feeling.

Since he accidentally met Roger during the attack. He received his funding to become a rebel warrior from the ** movement, Fan Xuexin has been under the pursuit of the French colonial authorities. One attack after another made Fan Xuexin's reputation become more and more famous. His own rebel army grew bigger and bigger, and the amount of rewards on his head was also soaring.

In order to avoid the pursuit of the French, Fan Xuexin has always been hiding in the dense forests of Vietnam, where there are bases for resistance organizations. He is very safe here. Even if the French soldiers knew that they were too lazy to come in and search. Even if they had to come out and enter the city, Fan Xuexin was cautious. He was afraid that they would be recognized by the French, so naturally he could not enjoy a peaceful breakfast so comfortably.

But now it's different, just a week ago. The French officially announced that they would hand over power to China. Although it was only nominally, it would take at least a few months before China actually took over Vietnam. However, the French government has stepped down after all, so his wanted situation naturally cannot be counted. This gave him the opportunity to enjoy life like he is now, eating breakfast while reading newspapers.

However, Fan Xuexin soon stopped chewing and put all his energy on the newspaper in his hand, and the expression on his face became more and more exciting because he saw a shocking news.

"It is liberation rather than colonization, and the four Chinese-owned Nanyang countries will start the process of **"!

"**Progress!" Fan Xuexin couldn't help but feel hot. Isn't this what he has been looking forward to? Now it has been realized so easily!? This made Fan Xuexin feel like he was in a dream.

Fan Xuexin quickly grabbed the newspaper and read it down.

According to the newspaper, the four Chinese and Nanyang countries will establish a colonial government like the Netherlands and France in the near future to maintain the normal operation of the colonies, but the term of office of this government is only 5 years. Moreover, during these five years, the government's main work is to hold meetings to negotiate future political systems, count voters, promote democracy, assist in the development of various parties, coordinate opinions from all parties and infrastructure construction for future elections, and other a series of matters that will serve the future.

The four Chinese and Nanyang countries will use these five years to make preparations for all aspects of the country, and will start to elect a transitional government after five years. The term of office is also 5 years. China still occupies a part of the transitional government. After the five-year transition period ends, all rights belong to the government of the country, and the country will officially **.

At the same time, in the past 10 years, China will be committed to transforming the original resistance organizations and indigenous colonial forces into national defense forces and shouldering the important task of national defense. In Fan Xuexin's view, this is equivalent to rewarding the resistance organizations.

After reading this roadmap, Fan Xuexin became uneasy. Before, his pursuit was Vietnamese. He didn't think much about what to do after **. In his opinion, it was already a lucky thing to be able to see the country in his lifetime. How could he hope for life after **? At most, he had just dreamed about it once or twice in his dream.

However, now it seems that everything is too easy. In the struggle with the French, they and their resistance organizations have been at a disadvantage. Some time ago, they thought that the tense situation in Europe was a good time for them to make trouble, but they did not expect that they were beaten back by the French. When they were about to hide and avoid the limelight, news suddenly came that China would take over Vietnam.

As Fan Xuexin knows, at least half of Vietnam's large and small resistance organizations were funded by China. After hearing this news, they naturally stopped resisting and wanted to see if the ** that Roger promised them was real.

After having this newspaper, Fan Xuexin can confirm that Roger did not break his promise and that he was indeed ready to bring a slaughter to Vietnam. As for why it was not immediately but a ten-year transition period, he did not think there was anything wrong with this. After all, it was not realistic to directly establish a completely slaughter government based on the current situation in Vietnam. Even the most idealists have to admit this.

The French political forces in Vietnam need to be eliminated, and those former traitors need to be tried. Even ordinary people also need large-scale propaganda to let them understand what elections are and what political parties are.

"Everything takes time... I always feel that these ten years may not be much easier than in the past." Fan Xuexin sighed helplessly. Whether it is the future or the past, he has to fight. The only difference is that he used violence to fight against the French, but now he uses political skills to fight against the political enemies.

"Learn new! You are still having breakfast here!? Don't you know what happened??"

Fan Xuexin was thinking about whether to establish a political party in the future, what is the program of the party, what is the name of the party, and so on, but suddenly he heard someone call him again.

Turning his head and looking at him, it was Ruan Wenzheng, the second-ranked figure in his resistance organization. He was staring at him anxiously.

"Of course I know something happened, but is it necessary to be so anxious?" Fan Xuexin said strangely. The roadmap for the founding of the country has just been released, and even the future Vietnam will continue to implement the imperial system, constitutional monarchy, or republican system has not been determined. What is there to worry about? No matter how anxious it is, it is impossible to get everything done at once.

"You know? Why don't you worry if you know it?" Ruan Wenzheng shouted incredibly. "Drag for a while, our team will be annexed by the Black Snake people!"

The Black Snake is a bandit gang in northern Vietnam. Because she has always opposed the French, Fan Xuexin and the resistance organizations and the Black Snake still had some friendship with them during the French rule. Although she couldn't stand the style of robbing everyone, she could cooperate in order to resist the French together.

Most of the time, Fan Xuexin and others were not involved in the rivers and waters of the Black Snake Well, and developed each other, and only communicated with each other when they attacked the French.

Over the years, the resistance organization and the black snake have rarely crossed the line, and naturally there is less friction. At most, it is the degree of quarrels and fights empty-handedly. There is no conflict of hierarchy at all.

"Wait...you say it's a black snake!?" Fan Xuexin said strangely. "Aren't we always unrest with the Black Snake? How could there be a conflict?"

"Don't you know?" Ruan Wenzheng said strangely, "Didn't you just say that you knew the situation?"

"I thought you were talking about what China is going to give us **." Fan Xuexin smiled bitterly, "Let's go back, let's talk to me on the way!"

The two left the breakfast stall and got into a car parked by the roadside. In the car, Nguyen Wen told Fan Xuexin about the cause of the incident.

"We're about to win." Nguyen Van-zheng said.

"I already know this." Fan Xuexin said.

"And the Black Snake's group seemed to want to gain more capital before the official **," said Nguyen Van-zheng. "Our informant said that the Black Snake's senior management believes that seizing territory as much as possible before the Chinese take over Vietnam can ensure the Black Snake's position in the future government."

"How can they think so!? Are you not afraid of angering the Chinese? The Chinese have just arrived and they are causing trouble. Isn't this a slap in the face of the Chinese? " Fan Xuexin screamed, "It's not the French who are in power now. Now it's the Chinese Vietnam. It's not the French. Once they do this, they will lose nothing if they attract the disgust of the Chinese!"

Unintentionally, Fan Xuexin said a fact that he was consciously unwilling to admit, that is, although Vietnam is nominally about to be safe, what system will Vietnam adopt in the future and who will take power? These things are decided by China. These "free" Vietnamese people cannot make the decision at all!

"I'm afraid their idea is to form a fait accompli before the arrival of the Chinese. After all, they secretly set up a line with Qiongya. As long as they clear it up, they might really succeed." Ruan Wenzheng said, "The Chinese may not punish another large force for the sake of a destroyed force, which will cause unstable Vietnam."

Fan Xuexin shook his head: "They are gambling! After all, Chinese people may also kill chickens to scare the monkeys to establish their authority!"

"Theirs are indeed gambling, because if the political party that comes from the text fights, they can't beat us at all!" Nguyen Wenzhen sneered, "A group of bandits, what political party can they form? Robbers? Who will support them? Even if the military forces are not able to fight against us. Although they have strong combat effectiveness, their number is not as large as ours! So if they want to expand their power in the future, they will definitely not be able to be honest. They can only gamble like this. If they succeed, they can save a lot of capital for themselves. If they fail, they will never be able to continue to be bandits."

Hearing Ruan Wenzheng's analysis, Fan Xuexin couldn't help frowning. He knew that Ruan Wenzheng's analysis was correct. If the Black Snake people did not gamble, they would definitely be marginalized in the future political landscape. If their leaders were still a little enterprising, they would definitely not let go of the current China and the French that had not yet completed the handover with the French, and could not fully control Vietnam's opportunity to expand their sphere of influence.

"It seems that we can only fight... well... go and contact the people from the Honghe Society and ask if they are interested in dividing the Black Snake's territory. Since the Black Snake wants to swallow us, they must be ready to be annexed by others." Fan Xuexin said helplessly. Although the civil war was not what he wanted, he was not ruthless in order to protect his vested interests.

At this time, Fan Xuexin didn't know that his actions would bring Vietnam a turbulent civil war of more than 10 years. Taking advantage of the Vietnamese civil war, China had secretly or publicly controlled the entire Vietnamese resources, making Vietnam truly the import and dumping place of China's resources.
