Chapter 30 Somalia

The Republic of Somalia is located on the Somalia Peninsula, the easternmost part of the African continent. It covers an area of nearly 640,000 square kilometers and has a population of 10.4 million (the estimated figures are not possible to count.), it is bordered by the Gulf of Aden in the north, the Indian Ocean in the east, Kenya and Ethiopia in the west, and the border with Djibouti in the northwest. Most areas have a tropical desert climate, and the southwest has a tropical savanna climate, with high temperatures all year round and dry and less rainy. The coastline is 3,200 kilometers long and has a very important strategic position. It has always been a strategic location for great powers to compete for.

The country is divided into two major tribes: Samar and Sabu. The Samar is composed of four major tribes: Dir, Isaq, Hawiye and Darod. Most of them are nomads and are spread all over Somalia.

The Sabu tribe is composed of the digil tribe and the rahanweyn tribe. It has a small population and lives in the fertile soil area of the Mesopotamian basin between the Sheberi River and Juba River in southern Somalia, living a life of combining agriculture and animal husbandry. In addition to the two major tribes of Samale and Sabu, Somalia also has some smaller ethnic groups, mainly some Somaliized Bantu and Swahili. The official languages of Somalia are Somali and Arabic, and English and Italian are also popular. The ******* religion is the state religion of Somalia and belongs to the Sufi sect.

Since the fall of the Westjad regime in 1991, Somalia has been in anarchy with warlords and armed separatist forces and the country is divided. Various factions in China have fought and stopped, and after continuous differentiation and combination, they have gradually formed a pattern of Mogadishu factions such as Somaliland, Puntland, Rahanwenlan and Aidid.

The international community has mediated the issue of 12 times without any results. After the signing of the Transitional Charter, Somalia's harsh political environment turned around. However, although the leaders of the Transitional Federal Government were welcomed by the Somali people, due to factional conflicts, the Transitional Government has not been able to enter the capital Mogadishu and can only work in Johar and Baidoa. There has been no substantial change in the situation of dominance of local political and military factions.

Currently, there are three main forces in the country: the transitional government, warlord alliance and sectarian armed forces. Although most parts of Somalia are currently maintained by the transitional government established in October 2004, warlord alliance and sectarian armed forces do not support this government. The capital Mogadishu has become the focus of competition among several factions, and violence occurs from time to time, causing the transitional government to move to work outside the capital. The interests of various tribes are complicated and difficult to distinguish. This East African country is still in a melee between various political factions, and the weak Somalia transitional government cannot control this country with many warlords at all.

According to the 2004 economic quarterly evaluation, Somalia has a population of 10.4 million, with a natural growth rate of 2.2%, and most of them are Somalians. The country is divided into two major tribes, Samarai and Sabu. The Samarai family accounts for more than 80% of the national population and is divided into four major tribes: Darod, Havie, Isak and Deer. The Sabu family is divided into two major tribes: Digir and Rahanwen. These six tribes are divided into dozens of sub-tribes.

However, these tribes have little to do with Li Lan now, because the place where he is now is in the northeast corner of Somalia, which is where the Somali pirates are the most. To the north is the Gulf of Aden, a place that attracts the world. Only more than 300 kilometers away from his location is Bosasso, one of the few big cities in Somalia.

The main population of Somalia is generally concentrated around cities, while there are not many major cities in Somalia. Except for tribal gathering places, there are few small towns.

Tiandaoling is located in Jamamei, a city on the southern edge of Somalia.

Jamame, formerly known as "Magritta", is a city in southern Somalia. It is located on the left bank of the lower Juba River, 48 kilometers southwest from Kismayu, and is connected by road. The population is 22,000. It is one of the distribution centers for agricultural and animal husbandry products in the lower Juba River, and is known for its livestock market.

People here were very alert to Tian Daoling, an Asian wearing a black cloak. Some nervous women even pulled away the children playing next to them. They were afraid that Tian Daoling was a warlord or pirate. These people often acted as human traffickers and abducted some children to replenish their numbers.

The Somali pirates are a group of criminals who specialize in robbing ships from other countries at sea. With the outbreak of the Somali civil war in 1991, piracy activities in the Gulf of Aden became more frequent, with multiple hijacking and violently hurting crew members. There are four major gangs of Somali pirates: the Puntland Guard, the National Coast Volunteer Guard, Merka, and the Somali sailor. In December 2009, the Somali pirates were elected as Times' 2009 Person of the Year. On April 11, 2011, the United Nations Security Council decided to set up a special court in Somalia and abroad to be responsible for the trial of suspects who committed piracy in the waters near Somalia.

Somali pirates generally refer to pirate groups that rob or extort people in the Gulf of Aden (between the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea) outside Somalia in East Africa. They are a group of criminals who specialize in robbing passing ships and property in the waters near Somalia. The outbreak of the Somali Civil War in 1991 made piracy activities more frequent in the Gulf of Aden, and there have been many incidents of hijacking and violently injuring crew members. There are four major gangs of Somali pirates: the Puntland Guard, which is the earliest gang to engage in organized pirate activities in the Somali waters; the national coastal volunteer guards are small in scale and mainly plunder small ships sailing along the coast; Merka, they use small fishing boats with strong firepower as their main tools for crimes, characterized by their way of committing crimes; the most powerful pirate gang is called the Somali sailors, whose range of activities is as far as 200 nautical miles away from the coastline.

The main reason why Tian Daoling came to Somalia was Tian Daoling. Many of these people had blood on their hands, and they obtained more soul points from killing these people than ordinary people. So these people were a big soul point in his eyes. The arrival of Tian Daoling was destined to bring nightmares to the pirates and warlords in Somalia.

"Ka! Da! Da!"

While Tian Daoling was walking on the street and experiencing the exotic style that was different from China, a burst of gunfire came from a distance. From the intensity of the gunfire, it could be heard that this was a big battle. Tian Daoling, who heard the gunfire, left and raised his face, shining with splendor in his eyes, and unexpectedly encountered such a thing as soon as he came.

This kind of gunfight in a war-torn place was an opportunity for him to obtain a soul point. He saw his legs running quickly. Under the surprised and surprised gaze of the Somalis who were about to go home to hide when they heard the gunshots, Tian Daoling turned into a black shadow and disappeared into the street.

Not long after, the panic-thrusting gunfire disappeared.
