chapter four hundred and eighty seventh.

In the next few days, Lin Yi was unable to relax. While sorting out his collection of ancient books, he paid attention to the preparation and construction of the library, and also constantly reported his work to his "father-in-law".

Just when he was so busy that he was dizzy, an old friend came - who, the old Suntou of the Municipal Museum, Director Sun.

Lin Yi and Lao Sun also have old friendships. As the director of the History Museum, Lao Sun will enter the Three Treasures Hall without any trouble. There are three people who come with him, two middle-aged people, and a younger young man in the grade.

Lao Suntou introduced that the two older ones were Director Chen Fake Department of the Nandu Cultural Relics Bureau, and Captain Zhang Boyuan and Captain Zhang of the Municipal Archaeology Team. The young one was a member of the archaeology team, named Ye Qiu.

Lin Yi didn't quite understand what kind of formation this is? Why are the Cultural Relics Bureau and the Archaeological Team coming?

Sit down, have tea, and start a conversation.

Only then did Lin Yi figure out what was going on.

It turns out that Nandu is located in the Central Plains, where tomb robbery has always been rampant. Especially in recent years, with the popularity of antique collections, more and more tomb robbers have been added. Many ancient tombs have been poisoned.

Recently, a tomb robbery occurred in Neixiang.

Originally, a father guarding the forest farm got up in the middle of the night to pee and suddenly found a ghost fire fluorescent light not far ahead. He was shocked and thought there was something dirty in front of him. Who knew that when he went over, he found someone robbed the tomb.

It turned out that this place was not a forest farm, but a cemetery. Unlike the mass graves that were thrown away by random bodies, it is said that the people buried were rich people in ancient times. A long time ago, during the Republic of China, people robbed tombs here and dug out the "Tang Sancai"; later on, when it came to the Cultural and Cultural Revolution, people began to criticize and fight, and this kind of feudal tombs became the target of criticism and fight. So the young revolutionaries organized personnel to start digging tombs vigorously, and then criticized the excavated tombs, such as pottery, porcelain, gold, stone, calligraphy and painting, burned whatever could be burned, and smashed what could be smashed, making a mess. The bones in the tomb were also regarded as feudal "old masters" and were thrown away in the wilderness. This unscrupulous destruction movement lasted for almost a week, and was finally stopped by the people's commune, saying that those were not feudal cancers, but cultural heritage.

The grave digging and criticism ended, but the consequences were serious, so in the 1980s, many children and adults were grazing sheep and cattle here, and occasionally they could pick up ancient coins, jade pendants, bronze ware, swords, lamps, etc.... At the beginning, everyone didn't know that these things were valuable, so they put them at home as gadgets. For example, the ancient coins were worn with red ropes and hung around the child's neck, and the bronze sword was used to chop grass and use them as kitchen knives.

It was not until later that experts who bought old goods, commonly known as "ground digging people", were willing to buy these old things at a high price, with a copper coin of three yuan and a copper sword of thirty. Only then did the big guy realize that these things could still be sold for money.

All of a sudden, the whole village sold out the old things hidden in the house. The digging ground had no source of goods, and encouraged the villagers to buy them at a high price if they got good things in the future.

It was the early 1990s, and reform and opening up made it possible to "see everything from money". As long as you can make money, you can do anything. So the villagers stopped growing crops, carried pickaxes and hoes, and began to rush over the ancient tomb.

The movement became too big, and it attracted the attention of the Cultural Relics Bureau, so it sent people to confiscate all the tools of the crime, seized all the hoes and picks, and then promoted to everyone that these are cultural relics and belong to the state and cannot be dug privately, otherwise it would be tomb robbery, which requires legal responsibility and must be jailed.

At first, everyone didn't believe it, thinking that the government was scaring him. A few young men went to rob the tomb again in the middle of the night, and were finally arrested by the police station and sentenced to six years, which shocked the villagers.

However, because the villagers were used to making money and letting them grow crops again, it seemed uncomfortable, so some of them became professional tomb robbers. In order to prevent them, the village brigade also tried all his might and planted woods in the original cemetery and sent people to watch to prevent tomb robbers. Not to mention, this method is very effective, and in the blink of an eye, there is really no major tomb robbery incidents here. But not long ago, a group of people came to the village, followed by a Fengshui fortune-telling butt, looking left and right, and didn't know what they were doing. The villagers were curious, but they were generous. They drank a few old heads in which yard to drink water, and then asked questions.

A few days later, the father in the forest farm got up in the middle of the night and saw the ghost fire. He plucked the courage to go over and saw it. It turned out to be the tomb robbers, and it was the Feng Shui master who had not long ago. The father whistled and alarmed the tomb robbers. The village was also alarmed and the dogs barked. The tomb robbers didn't have time to empty the ancient tomb dug out. Seeing that something was wrong, they all ran away. Before running, they even made a brick to the father in the forest farm. The skull was smashed into the back, and blood flowed, and they said harsh words: "Let you be troublesome!"

...

When the matter came here, Lin Yi had already understood it halfway, which means that someone robbed the tomb recently, but unfortunately he failed. Instead, he tried his best to leave the dug ancient tomb and gave it to the archaeological team at a cheap price.

Lao Sun talked about it all, and then Director Shen Fake from the Cultural Relics Bureau continued to talk about their "major discovery". The captain Zhang Boyuan and Ye Qiuye from the archaeological team were given additional introductions. The whole scene was like an "ancient tomb excavation introduction meeting".

According to Director Shen, the ancient tomb excavated by these tomb robbers should be a large ancient tomb from the Song Dynasty. The tomb is rare in shape and complex in structure. It is the highest-standard and largest Song Dynasty ancient tomb unearthed in Nandu City.

After arriving at the scene, the city’s cultural relics protection department started from the first tomb unearthed and found many corpses in the tomb. It seems that the owner of the tomb in the Song Dynasty had a prominent identity during his lifetime, and those corpses should belong to the “burial of his burial” persons.

The vicious habit of burying with one's life has existed since the Qin Dynasty and the Warring States Period. There were as many as thousands of people, and there were two or three people. There was even a custom of burying with one's life in the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, it is not uncommon for people to bury this magnificent Song Dynasty tomb tomb. What is rare is some cultural relics unearthed from this ancient tomb, including two white-glazed plum vases, a porcelain plate, several ironware and two horse-shaped stone tomb-suppressing beasts. Among them, the exquisitely patterned plum vases and the multi-faceted brick carvings in the tomb are quite precious, and contain rich historical information.

Director Shen and others told Lin Yi that due to the social conditions at that time, the common tombs of the gentry class in the Song Dynasty were mostly brick and stone tombs or cliff cave tombs, and brick and stone tombs were mainly square, arc and polygonal. The octagonal brick and stone tombs discovered this time was the first unearthed, and it is also the largest scale, highest-quality and earliest Song Dynasty tombs discovered so far, which can be said to have rewritten history.

Lin Yi didn't understand these things. After all, he was not a professional archaeologist. However, he still patiently listened to the statements of Director Chen and others, and then asked very kindly, "I've been taught--but what makes me curious is, what does your archaeological digging have to do with me, and why did you come to me to find me?"

At this time, Director Chen glanced at Director Sun. Old Sun laughed and said, "Since you have found you, of course you need your help."

"That's right," Director Chen continued, "In the process of digging the ancient tombs, in addition to discovering the above cultural relics, the most discovered were some ancient books from the Song Dynasty..."

When Lin Yi heard these words, he felt his eyes lit up. Recently, he has been very profound in his research on Song versions of ancient books.

Seeing that Lin Yi seemed to be interested, Director Chen said again: "But unfortunately, due to preservation issues, the ancient books are still in the tombs. We dare not move around. We wanted to transfer some experts and scholars from the province to come and identify them, but we were struggling to find people... Fortunately, Director Sun said that you are an expert in this field, so we came to ask you for help."

"Yes, you have to know that with text identification and ancient book identification, we can grasp the history and culture of this ancient tomb, and even the identity of the tomb owner more quickly, so we have to come to you." Zhang Boyuan also said earnestly.

Only the archaeological team member Ye Qiu seemed to not pay much attention to Lin Yi. In his opinion, Lin Yi was not old, even younger than him, and how capable he could be. If the superiors were not anxious to grasp the situation of this ancient tomb, they would not have come here from afar.
