Afterword to Volume Four

Volume 4 Afterword

After writing the fourth volume, I felt like I had finished a stage. I once thought that if there were too few readers of this story, let Hu and Yi end up with their own affection! Of course, this idea was not really implemented, otherwise everyone would smash me with a brick. From the next stage, the protagonist will start his journey in the martial arts world with a new identity, a new perspective, and a new ideal. The protagonist at this time is the character I want to create. Perhaps, what disappoints many readers is that the protagonist is a character who is gradually growing in the underworld, not a white-dao hero in the traditional sense. After writing the story here, it is impossible for him to look back and realize his childhood knight dream. I don’t know if everyone can accept such a change?

From the beginning, "The Smiling World" has been compared with "The Smiling World". This is something I unexpected. Some friends even accused me of plagiarizing Mr. Jin's plot, characters, and even fierce language. I don't want to spend time explaining the past. I just want to read it patiently and know what kind of author I am. I hope that after reading the fifth and sixth volumes, I can have a pertinent evaluation of this book.

The important characters in this book are all set before writing, and appear one by one according to the order of the plot development. It should be noted that I will still follow the unwritten regulations in the martial arts novel world. Especially important characters must be run through the whole world and will not die prematurely. Therefore, please rest assured that friends who love Wufeng will appear at the right time. As for her emotional entanglement with the protagonist and other beauties, this cannot be explained clearly in just a few words. There will be twists and turns and it will not be smooth sailing.
