Chapter Eleven Loquat Paste

The inn in the town is called Guangjin Inn. Li Luotang suspected that the boss thought that using Caiyuan as the store name would be too straightforward and would scare customers. He thought that it was a black store that dared not enter, so he used Guangjin.

After asking for three rooms and putting your luggage in the room, Li Luotang asked Sai Xishi, "Shi Shi, are you tired? Should you take a break and go shopping, or go shopping now?"

"I'm not tired, let's go now." Saisi Shi smiled.

The two went shopping, but Yi Jing did not follow him. Anyway, with Li Luotang's skills, no one could bully them.

Walking out of the inn, I saw someone selling loquats not far away. Sai Xishi said in surprise: "Loquats were on the market so early." Loquats were sold in Dongyang until mid-April.

The stall owner who sold loquats smiled and explained: "This is a loquat grown using a secret method, it is sweet."

Li Luotang curled his lips and was really nonsense. This was obviously a precocious loquat. However, for the sake of business, it was nothing to brag about. Li Luotang didn't argue with the stall owner and asked, "How to sell this loquat?"

"One qian is a pound." The stall owner saw that Li Luotang and Sai Xishi were young, and felt that they didn't know the price and wanted to sell it at a high price.

"It's so expensive, don't want it." Sai Xishi immediately threw the several loquats he had chosen back into the basket. One cent in Dongyang could buy a large basket.

The stall owner was stunned. This... he asked for a lot of money and could pay it back locally. No matter how much the price was, he just didn't want it?

When Li Luotang saw his expression, he knew that he had made a mistake. He smiled and said, "You sell so expensively, no one will buy it. Let's go, Shi Shi." He turned around and wanted to leave.

"Hey hey, young master, don't leave. You have to buy it sincerely, it can be cheap." The stall owner said hurriedly. He has been here for a long time, and there are not even people asking for the price. If these two customers leave again, this basket of loquats will probably be smashed into his hands.

Li Luotang pursed his lips and smiled, gave Sai Xishi a wink, turned around and asked, "Let's do this, I'll give you three cents of silver, how about you selling all this basket to me?"

"Thank you, my son, thank you." The stall owner looked happy and almost missed the big customer.

"Sister Li, I can't finish buying so much." Sai Xishi pulled Li Luotang's sleeve and whispered.

"You can make loquat paste if you can't finish it." Li Luotang looked at Sai Xishi, "You won't tell me, you won't do it, are you?"

Sai Xishi smiled, "Loquat paste is not a difficult thing, I can make it."

"I knew you could." Li Luotang smiled, "Okay, you can send the loquats to the inn in front."

The stall owner carried the basket of loquats, followed Li Luotang and Sai Xishi to the inn. He gave him three cents of silver and sent him away. Li Luotang grabbed some of them to the owner and said to the shopkeeper: "Wash a plate and send it to the young master in the room, and put the others in the kitchen for the time being."

"Yes, young master." The guy replied.

Li Luotang and Sai Xishi continued to go shopping. Because they planned to make loquat paste, they bought two small porcelain jars, rock candy and honey. After buying honey, they went out to the store. Sai Xishi murmured: "This honey is too expensive."

"It is not easy to keep bees, so honey is expensive." Li Luotang never thought it expensive when it comes to food.

"Sister Li, we have to buy some spices or something. When I went out, I didn't think it thoroughly and didn't bring it." Sai Xishi really thought about preparing three meals a day for Yi Jing and Li Luotang as a very important thing.

The two of them first bought seasonings such as oil, salt, sauce and vinegar, and then bought cinnamon, star anise, pepper, pepper, etc. They also bought dried bamboo shoots, dried mushrooms, and daylily... When the market opened in the evening, they bought pork, ribs, eggs, etc.

What could Li Luotang say about such a honest Sai Xishi? She didn't say anything, hired someone and sent the lot of things back to the inn.

After dinner, the ingredients were sufficient, Sai Xishi made full use of her food and cooked four dishes, sweet and sour pork ribs, eggplant stuffed meat, fried river shrimp and bean sprout soup. After the meal, Sai Xishi started making loquat paste, and Li Luotang helped.

Wash the loquats with clean water, peel them, remove the seeds and peel them out, soak them in a basin filled with light salt water, and then peel all the loquats and drain them.

Saixishi boils sugar, pour the rock sugar into the pot, put an appropriate amount of water, wait for the rock sugar to simmer, pour the drained loquat meat in, and then slowly boil it. When the loquats start to come out of water, continue boiling over low heat.

When making loquats, Sai Xishi stirred them with a wooden spoon from time to time to avoid sticking to the pan. When it was thick, the loquat paste was ready. Sai Xishi took a small spoon and scooped a spoonful, "Sister Li, try the taste, see if you want to add sugar?"

Li Luotang took the spoon, blew it, and put it in her mouth. It was sour and sweet, which was the taste she liked. "No need to add sugar, add honey in a while, and the sweetness is enough."

Sai Xishi then scooped out the loquat paste and put it in a large pottery basin. When the loquat paste is warm, add honey to it and stir it evenly with a spoon. After it is completely cooled, put it in a small porcelain jar that is cleaned and dried, and sealed.

It took about half an hour to boil the loquat paste. After packing the kitchen, the two of them washed up and went back to the room to rest.

A good night's sleep.

The next day when Yi Jing went out, he found that there was a large bamboo box on the back of the mule carrying luggage. He touched his chin. According to the way two young sisters bought the mule, the mule would soon not be able to carry it. Is it more appropriate for him to buy a mule cart?

"Brother Yi, what are you thinking? Why haven't you gotten on the horse yet?" Li Luotang turned over and the horse was neatly, and Sai Xishi also sat on the donkey's back.

"I didn't think of anything." Yi Jing smiled, grabbed the reins, stepped on the kickstick with his left foot, raised his right foot, and sat on the back of the horse.

The three left the town and continued to go to Yuezhou. At thirty miles, Li Luotang suddenly heard a "broken" sound coming from the forest on the side of the road.

"Brother Yi." Li Luotang called out softly.

"Someone must be fighting." Yi Jing said calmly.

"Brother Yi, let's go and take a look." Li Luotang did not forget the excuse she looked for when she went out. In her opinion, experience is just meddling in other people's business.

"Be careful." Yi Jing couldn't throw Sai Xishi on the side of the road. Of course, this was also because Li Luotang was very good at it. He didn't have to worry about her, otherwise he wouldn't let Li Luotang take the risk.

Li Luotang didn't even get off the horse. He pressed his little hand on the saddle, jumped up, and jumped on the big tree by the roadside, jumping on the tree, as light as a bird, and the branches didn't even tremble slightly. Yi Jing looked at it and smiled slightly. Tangtang's light skills were better than Li Luojie.

Li Luotang soon arrived at the accident site and saw from a high place that several people were besieging a man. Several people were lying on the ground around them, motionless, and obviously they had already returned to the west.

Although the besieged people had the advantage in number, they had no weapons in their hands, and had limited lethality. Although the besieged people were alone, he not only held a sharp short knife in his left hand, but also had a light skill, and occasionally threw out hidden weapons like mosquitoes and flies.

The hidden weapons are small and dense, which are more difficult to defend against than swords. The besieged people are often caught and lose sight of each other, and they are very embarrassed. Of course, whenever they have the chance, they will sprinkle brown medicine powder at the man. The besieged people are also afraid of the medicine powder. Although they rely on their body skills to avoid it, they will inevitably get more contaminated.
