Chapter 33 The beginning of the plan (month~)

This is Song Zhuoxing's first time to Guanyin Pavilion.

Different from the crowding of Ksitigarbha Pavilion and the mystery of Wenshu Pavilion, Guanyin Pavilion looks more solemn and majestic in terms of layout and furnishings.

As soon as I walked into Guanyin Pavilion, I couldn't help but become awed.

"General, we're here."

Chen Guang led Song Zhuoxing to a wing and reported outside the door curtain.

"Let him in."

A hoarse voice came from the room.

Chen Guang stood still and signaled to Song Zhuoxing: "Go in, the general is waiting for you inside."

Song Zhuoxing hesitated for a moment, then opened the door curtain and walked in.

He originally thought that the person who wanted to see him was Mu Yun, but he did not expect that it was a man he had never seen in Yunxuan Temple.

With a red face, round eyes, sharp eyebrows at the temples, and an expressionless face, he looked like a red-faced lion.

"Who are you?" Song Zhuoxing looked at the man steadily.

"My name is Mu Huo, sit down."

After Mu Huo briefly introduced himself, he asked Song Zhuo to sit down and pushed the newly brewed hot tea to the opposite side.

Song Zhuoxing hesitated for a moment, then sat down opposite Mu Huo.

"Try this year's new tea." Mu Huo raised his hand.

Song Zhuoxing picked up the tea cup and blew the hot air, wondering whether he should drink it or not.

After thinking about it, Cui Hengyue told him that there was no poison in the South Hall, so Song Zhuoxing drank it slowly and praised: "Good tea."

Mu Huo had been observing Song Zhuoxing and saw that he behaved generously and without any restraint. He felt satisfied and smiled slightly:

"Did you stay in the South Hall because of Cui Hengyue?"

Song Zhuoxing's heart tightened, and he put down the tea cup without changing his expression: "Didn't you say that those who are willing to stay in the South Hall won't ask why?"

"That's right." Mu Huo smiled and explained: "I just asked out of curiosity. Mr. Song Xiaolang doesn't want to tell, so that's all."

Song Zhuoxing did not answer the call.

Mu Huo picked up the small and exquisite copper pot and poured another cup of tea for Song Zhuoxing: "The King of Chu already knows how you and your guards entered the South Hall that day.

"That boy Yun Chen didn't handle this matter properly and didn't explain it clearly.

"However, after you have stayed in the South Hall for a few days, you should know the rules of the South Hall: Anyone who enters the South Hall cannot leave the South Hall until death.

"Now, I will give you another chance. If you don't want to stay in the South Hall, I will immediately order Yun Chen to send you and your guards down the mountain."

Song Zhuoxing noticed the word "fate" in his words. Someone who could command Yun Chen must have a high status. Furthermore, if he could meet him on Mu Yun's territory, his status would be at least as high as Mu Yun's.

"Is this what King Chu meant?"

"That's right, King Chu admires Mr. Song Xiaolang very much, and he doesn't want you to be deceived into the South Palace for the rest of your life."

appreciate?

Do you admire him for helping Mu Yun catch Cui Hengyue, or do you admire him for speaking up for Cui Hengyue later? Or do you appreciate his generosity?

No matter what the reason was, Mu Huo's words showed that his every move in the South Palace was under the control of King Chu.

Song Zhuoxing thought: He must be more cautious in his actions in the future, and he must not let the people of the King of Chu discover him.

Seeing Song Zhuoxing thinking, Mu Huo did not rush him and drank slowly with a teacup in his hand.

Well, good tea. It seems that his tea-making skills are almost catching up with Mu Shui's...

"I want to stay in the South Hall."

Mu Huo paused: "Willingly?"

"Willingly." Song Zhuoxing looked determined.

"good."

Mu Huo put down the tea cup, pulled out a piece of paper from the desk next to him, and handed it to Song Zhuoxing: "Since you have decided to stay in the South Hall, just sign this."

Song Zhuoxing took it and after seeing clearly what was written on it, he asked in shock: "Has everyone who stayed in the South Hall signed this document?"

"That's right." Mu Huo admitted generously: "As long as you sign this document, we can keep you safe, no matter if you are an important criminal in the imperial court or a gangster."

Song Zhuoxing suppressed the fear in his heart and handed the receipt back: "Before signing this, I want to see the King of Chu."

...

At less than three quarters, the bell of Ksitigarbha Pavilion rang on time.

Everyone walked out of the room one after another, gathered in the yard, received their work from Lin Yin one by one, and began to work for dinner.

Li Bier sat down on the stone steps as usual and repaired the fishing net seriously.

Su Biwen sat not far from her, picking mung beans one by one.

It was not yet time to cook, so Cui Hengyue did not need to light the fire, so he sat on the railing of the verandah and observed the movements of the guards.

But Runzhu did not wait for Song Zhuoxing to come back, so he held two bundles of wood alone, found a place where he could see Cui Hengyue when he raised his eyes, and sat down, while whittling the wood, he stared at Cui Hengyue.

After a while, Qiurou, who was helping Luo Sanniang cut clothes, suddenly said: "I'm so hungry!"

Hearing this, Luo Sanniang stopped what she was doing: "Aren't you full at lunch?"

"Well, I always eat slowly. When something like that happened at noon, I just watched the excitement. Later, Lieutenant Chen only gave us half a quarter of an hour, and I didn't finish the meal at all."

Qiurou had a sad expression on her face: "It would be great if I could stutter now..."

Before he finished speaking, a veil appeared in front of him, and on the veil were two pieces of fragrant bilo.

Qiurou's eyes lit up and she looked along the arm under the veil: "Ms. Li, it's you, this is..."

"Here you go." Li Bi'er thrust Biro and the handkerchief into Qiurou's hands, and said, "I don't have anything good, so just treat this as a thank you gift for teaching me how to embroider handkerchiefs. Don't dislike it."

Qiu Rou hurriedly said: "I don't dislike it, I don't dislike it. It is the best thank you gift at this moment. I won't exchange it for gold."

After saying that, Qiurou couldn't wait to eat.

smell good--

Cui Hengyue followed the scent and looked over. Seeing that the Biluo in Qiurou's hand was different from the one she saw in the south hall, she jumped off the railing and walked over.

"Can you give me a taste?"

Qiu Rou's chewing movements stopped, and when she saw Cui Hengyue's salivating look, she immediately sped up her movements, swallowed the bilo in her mouth in two or three times, and then stuffed the rest of the biro into her mouth.

Cui Hengyue: "..."

I just gave her a small bite to taste. Is it necessary to be so stingy and not even leave the dregs to her?

"Ahem..."

It was so full that Qiurou choked and coughed.

Li Bi'er stretched out her hand, patted Qiurou's back to help her calm down, and said in a natural tone: "Eat slowly, if it's not enough for me, there will be more."

Hearing this, Cui Hengyue and Qiu Rou said in unison: "Really?"

Li Bi'er didn't look at Cui Hengyue, but said to Qiurou: "Well, there is still something in my room..."

"I want another piece." Qiurou hurriedly asked for it.

"I want it too." Cui Hengyue walked around Qiu Rou and faced Li Bi'er, letting her see her and face her request.

Li Bi'er looked at Qiu Rou, then at Cui Hengyue, with a troubled expression: "But, there is only one piece in my room..."

Hearing this, Cui Hengyue immediately stretched out her left hand in front of Qiu Rou and blinked her watery almond eyes: "Ms. Qiu, I haven't eaten enough at lunch. You just ate two pieces, can you give me the last piece?"

Facing the pitiful Cui Hengyue, Qiurou couldn't help but look away.

When she lowered her head, Qiu Rou saw Cui Hengyue's stretched out arm, which was wrapped with gauze and there were blood stains on the gauze.

Qiurou immediately felt ashamed of her behavior. It would be fine if she skipped a meal, but starving the little lunatic would definitely affect the recovery of the wound.

The little madman is still a child!

She just... was so unkind.

"Okay." Qiurou nodded with guilt.

Cui Hengyue was overjoyed. After thanking her, she extended her hand to Li Bier: "Mrs. Qiu agreed, please give me the last piece of Biluo."

"If you want to eat, just follow me back to your room to get it."
