Chapter 10 Pride and Prejudice (1)

Compared to Schiller, Jonathan looked more like a good man. He was thin, slender, with messy curly hair, and a pair of big black-framed glasses. He always had dark circles under his eyes. He looked very weak, like a complete otaku.

He also looks very like a good old man in school. All Gotham students know that Jonathan is not strict in class and can pass the exam easily. Even when he misses classes and is late, he will only raise his glasses and let those classmates sit down and will not criticize them.

He looks like a nerd, and by contrast, Schiller, the new psychology professor, looks like a senior member of the Arkham Asylum.

Schiller's appearance is a bit similar to mixed race, with black hair and gray eyes, and the original owner also looks straight, and all his clothes are gray.

Most of them are coats, scarves and formal clothes worn at work. Schiller has never gone out to buy clothes, so he has always maintained the original owner's dressing style. It has been raining these days, and Schiller is carrying a black umbrella almost at all times.

How to say this image, it seems that he is not the end villain of the TV series and is a little sorry for the audience.

And just a few days after Schiller came, his students discovered that this was actually a very strict professor. His teaching skills were indeed very high. He was just merciless to those students who were late and left early, and he had to follow the test every few classes. He directly said in class that at least 30% of the people in this course failed, which made everyone nervous.

Although the students of Gotham University are from good families, there are not no rebellious among them. No university student would like such professors. At first, Schiller had several thorns in class, but soon, I don’t know which one of them was a broken mouth, spreading Schiller’s resume. Now, the students immediately became quiet like a docile sheep in Schiller’s class.

After all, no matter how you look at it, it is impossible for a normal person to participate in so many serial murders several times. Soon, Schiller became a campus legend at Gotham University.

Some people say that their professor is actually the murderer of these serial murders, and some people say that he actually carries some kind of unfortunate curse, wherever he goes, there will be terrible cases. Some people with rich imagination have fabricated a tragic background for Schiller and suggested that he participated in the investigation of so many murders in order to revenge.

In various versions of the stories, there will always be a meeting of the students' inner expectations. Among the students, such bizarre and a little scary stories always spread very quickly. In a few days, most students knew about Schiller's past.

Schiller went out to buy breakfast, and there was no one at the window where he stood, and the students all looked at him from afar. In class, his homework was extremely collected, and no professor could do this.

After the confrontation that night, Schiller often felt that Bruce was following him, even during the day, on campus. Fortunately, he had spider sensing. Bruce wanted to install cameras in his dormitory, psychological counseling room and classroom podium several times, but he failed.

But this gave Schiller an inspiration.

It seems that the young Batman is still not ready, but he finds that Bruce seems to have reached some agreement with Gordon. Schiller went to the Mosen neighborhood several times in the evening, and he finds that the two of them seem to be really joining forces.

Finally one day, when it was approaching sleep time, the sky in Gotham was already dark like ink.

Schiller didn't plan to go out tonight. He wanted to have a good sleep. The teaching in college was not as easy as he thought. Psychological diagnosis and treatment occasionally came to students who really needed psychological counseling. Whether it was to relieve anxiety, relieve depression, or provide psychological advice, these tasks were also very tiring, so he planned to have a good sleep.

But things didn't go as expected. Jonathan, who originally only had the ability to move in the second half of the night, suddenly left the campus in the first half of the night. Schiller knew that he might want to catch a new batch of experimental products.

Indeed, recently Gordon and Bruce have been active in the Morson neighborhood, and Jonathan is very clear that he can't beat the police and will definitely be locked up once he is caught.

His physical fitness is worse than Schiller, and even spraying fear gas may be irreversible. After Batman cleared the Ditch Gang and several other small gangs in the Morson neighborhood, he gradually gained some fame. People know that there is a strange vigilante here. Jonathan is fighting against those gangs. He has not dared to show up for several nights.

However, his fear gas is about to make breakthrough progress, and no experimental maniac can accept it. At this critical moment when the experiment failed, his experimental products had already been used up, and he had to capture the new ones.

Although he was not physically strong, it was still very easy for him to capture experimental items. He just needed to find a house with a window open, put a tube in it, spray a large amount of anesthetic agent into it, and then pry open the door of their house and drag the person out.

As Schiller watched him leave the campus, he had to put on his coat, take an umbrella, and follow him. Although he did not have a Virgin mentality and did not intend to be a superhero savior, he would still take care of the tragedy that happened before him.

More importantly, if Jonathan continues to mess around like this, there will be only a few people left in the Morson neighborhood, and Batman will die before he can make a move. Anyway, the Scarecrow will be caught by Batman sooner or later, so it is better to choose a day than a day, just today.

And Schiller used a small trick, and he planned to teach Batman a lesson and let him wake up from that arrogant mentality quickly.

Batman still has room for mistakes now, because Joker is just a circus actor, Schiller dared not think about how miserable Batman would have been played with by him if the Joker appeared in front of the young Batman now.

Although Batman is still young and has many shortcomings, he has to admit that he travels to various countries and his skills are not given in vain.

Jonathan is not a meticulous criminal now. He has not received special training, nor has he any anti-reconnaissance awareness. Many of his clues have been discovered by Batman and Gordon.

The two of them joined forces to touch the underground of the chapel, where they discovered Jonathan's laboratory, which was not a very clever laboratory, and it could even be said to be very similar to a black-hearted workshop.

Dark, cramped, and another odorous smell, Batman looked at the drainage pipe in the basement and said, "I think I probably know where those people went."

Gordon came over with a pistol and said, "Although I don't want to ask, my combat report must be written with the truth."

"Aqua regia can not only melt metals, but also melt the most difficult parts of the human body."

"Okay, I know, you need not say anything, I don't want to listen to the details," said Gordon.

They investigated in this small laboratory, and suddenly, Gordon found a little trace under a used crate, which were some broken leaves.

"North American Red Pine," said Batman, "I saw its cotyledons."

"Damn it, there are no pine trees in Gotham? Otherwise, the weather here wouldn't be like this," Gordon said.

"I want to have a place where this plant is…" Batman said.

"Gotham University, which is the best greening place in the entire Gotham City, is on the widest walkways, and this plant is on both sides."

Gordon squatted down, he looked at the traces carefully and said:

"It should be that the murderer stepped on the boots of this kind of fallen leaves, and there was mud hanging on it. Obviously, the heavy rain in the past few days has caused him a lot of trouble. After he came here, the stain fell off inadvertently, and he didn't clean up."

Gordon looked up and said, "Is the murderer a student at Gotham University?"

"Maybe it might be the teacher," Batman said.

"Is it the one you threatened that day?" Gordon asked.

"I'm not threatening him," Batman said.

"But you cut his neck with a dart and made him shed a lot of blood. A wound that was so long would probably leave a scar." Gordon said.

"Are you sympathizing with a criminal?" Batman asked,

"He is not a criminal, at least not until he was tried."

"Judgement..." Batman snorted coldly.

Gordon sensed Batman's distrust of the judicial system, and he did not refute him righteously. He has been a policeman in Gotham for a day or two. The judicial system here is indeed not trustworthy, or the entire order system here is not trustworthy.

"But in my opinion, you are holding dangerous weapons to wantonly hurt an ordinary person who is unarmed, and that is a threat," said Gordon.

"Unarmed..." Batman said.

He suddenly found that he could not refute Gordon, because according to his knowledge, Schiller did not seem to have received any professional fighting training, and Batman was sure that he could knock him down with one punch.

But he had been troubled by this man for many days, but he had no choice. He suddenly remembered a sentence he had heard on the road to study - words are stronger than fists.

But that's it, Batman thought.

The murderer is from Gotham University, and there is almost no second answer. Is this evidence not sure enough? Maybe it's time to send that lunatic professor to jail.

He looked at the stained drainage pipes in the soles of his feet, and the souls of more than 40 people disappeared there, and there must be one of them.

On that night a long time ago, his parents' lives disappeared in the alley, but no one paid the price they should have paid.
