561 I am myself(2/2)

Just the corners of the broken mouth twitched a few times at the end.

"General..."

King Xingshi's head seemed to murmur this last sentence, and then there was no more movement.

It seems that things here are finally over.

Probably a thousand years ago.

On a hillside near Kyoto, two men were walking on foot.

The tree roots were knotted with brown color and the bluish-gray rocks were exposed. The two of them climbed deep into the forest on the roadless hillside.

The man who came to the back was about seven feet tall, with a strong build and a dignified demeanor, with a tachi hanging from his waist.

The person leading the way was not as tall as the other person, but he was still quite strong. However, his clothes were more ordinary and he had no decorations on his body, but he exuded a graceful demeanor.

There are some tall cedar trees in the mountain forest. The biggest one I saw along the way was too big for several adults to hug.

Although it was daytime, the light in the mountain forest was relatively dark, and the extending branches of the trees blocked the light.

The layers of leaves above sparkle in the sunlight, like countless emeralds. Because the light is blocked, there are almost no patches of low vegetation under the shade, only sparsely scattered in the little spots where the sunlight shines through.

There are a few weeds and some bear bamboos growing on the ground.

There is some moisture in the air in the forest.

It's summer, and it should be very hot, but the refreshing air in the mountains and forests, without a trace of dust or turbidity, is filled with the cold air of the mountains.

But even if the environment was comfortable, the amount of exercise involved in climbing the dangerous path still brought a lot of heat to the two people in the forest, and a thin layer of sweat broke out on both of their backs.

"Junyou, you said you wanted to take me to see something interesting, haven't you arrived yet?"

The man with a majestic bearing and a sword on his waist spoke, his voice low and loud.

And the pure friend he spoke of was naturally King Xingshi.

"It's almost here, General."

King Xingshi pushed aside the weeds and continued to move forward, followed closely by Ping Jiangmen.

"right here."

All I could see was that the mountain forest in front of me suddenly opened up, and the sky was revealed. In the clear sky under the scorching summer sun, streaks of white clouds floated, and unexpected giant rocks towered into the sky.

King Xingshi climbed up a huge rock, and General Ping followed suit, and they stood side by side.

"Jiangmen, look over there."

King Xingshi pointed forward with his hand. Below him was a vast wilderness that was caressed by a vast green ocean. Black and brown mountains stretched between the clear sky and green fields, and beyond the foot of the mountain was Kyoto.

"It's really spectacular." Ping Jiangmen sighed.

"That's Kyoto."

Because we are standing high and far apart, when we look at Kyoto from here, even the five-story pagoda of Jiaowanghuguoji Temple looks so small.

"How about it, Jiangmen. Are you attracted to that one?"

"What?"

"Of course Kyoto."

"Kyoto?"

"In other words, the world. I am extremely excited."

King Xingshi said this, the so-called world seems to be within reach with just one glance.

"Since you are so tempted, then take it." General Ping laughed loudly.

"What about Jiangmen?"

"I don't want Kyoto."

"don't want?"

"The people in Kyoto are too pretentious, and the powerful flatter each other and engage in intrigues. My father couldn't stand it, so he ran away to the Eastern Kingdom. I stayed in Kyoto in the early years, but I couldn't stand it. I was still comfortable in my own territory."

"Hahaha! You are still so interesting, General." King Xingshi's eyes became sharp, looking at the outline of Kyoto in the distance, as if he was reminiscing about some bad past, "Flattery and intrigue, it's true.

right."

"Don't talk about me, Junyou. Aren't you different? You were a good official in the capital, and suddenly you went to the sea to become a pirate. You can feel it, right? That kind of discomfort."

"Yes, we are the same kind of people. But since Kyoto is uncomfortable, then after you take it, wouldn't it be enough to make it comfortable?"

"It makes sense." Jiang Men nodded, then shook his head again, his hair swaying, "But it still doesn't work."

"Why?"

"Because of the trouble. Taking down the trouble in Kyoto and making it comfortable is even more troublesome. The most important thing is that as long as the city is filled with those rich and powerful people, it will definitely make people uncomfortable."

"That's right."

Both of them laughed.

"Jiangmen, since you are afraid of trouble, then I can help you. More importantly, this Kyoto is hindering your development in the Eastern Kingdom. Why don't you share it with me?"

"Only Kyoto?"

"Take over the world. You raise the pole in the east, and I will raise the flag in the west!" King Xingshi's eyes flashed, "In this way, Kyoto will be flanked by two sides."

"Then, will the world have it?"

"Available."

"Hmm..." Ping Jiangmen pondered, his round eyes covered with a layer of invisible emotions.

"General, after we take over the world, you will be the emperor."

"Why don't you do it, Chunyou? I know that your ambition is never small."

"I don't have that kind of talent. General, you should be the emperor. Your family obeys you, your soldiers obey you, and I obey you. No one will not respect you. You will become a good emperor."

"I'll think about it again." Ping Jiangmen stretched himself on the huge rock.

The cool breeze was pleasant, making the two of them feel dry and comfortable.

"Listen, generals, people have great responsibilities." King Xingshi spoke again.

"What do you mean?" Ping Jiangmen asked as if he knew what he was talking about.

"It's destiny, a great responsibility given by heaven. It's something you are born with."

"There is something in your words."

"I mean, whether you think about it or not, the great responsibility you are born with will bring people around you together and push you to achieve it. Times make heroes."

"Do you really think so?" Jiang Men looked at his friend up and down, and then nodded simply, "If that's the case, then let it go. If this is the fate, I don't have to worry."

"I will remember your words, General."

"But I'll forget it."

"Forgot?" King Xingshi was surprised.

"Even if you forget it, since it is fate, I think the result will still not change, right?"

"Um."

"In that case, why not forget it?"

"It makes sense."

The wind blew from the direction of Kyoto, passing over the vast foothills of the mountains, blowing their hair and clothes, and lifting their dryness and comfort into the sky.

"It's so refreshing."

The two laughed again.

"Junyou, what will you do if I become the emperor?" Ping Jiangmen narrowed his eyes slightly.
