steal fire

A long time ago, there was no fire on the ground, so people had to eat raw food and spend one long night after another in the boundless darkness.

At this moment, a god named Prometheus came to the world and saw the tragic scene of human beings without fire. He was determined to risk his life to go to the sun god Apollo to get the fire.

One day, when Apollo was driving a sun cart through the sky, he folded a thick and long fennel stalk and took the fire from the wheels that were spraying flames.

Since the fire was found, humans have started to use it to cook food, drive away the cold and keep warm, and use fire to drive away beasts that endanger human safety.

Zeus saw the flames rising from the earth, and the fire was so far that he was furious that he decided to give Prometheus the most severe punishment and ordered the God of Vulcan to execute immediately.

The God of Vulcan admired Prometheus very much and whispered to him: "As long as you admit your mistake to Zeus and return the fire, I will ask him to forgive you."

Prometheus shook his head and answered firmly: "What's wrong with benefiting mankind? I can endure all kinds of pain, but I will never admit my mistakes, let alone return the fire!"

The God of Vulcan did not dare to disobey Zeus's orders, so he had to take Prometheus to the Caucasus Mountains.

Prometheus's hands and feet were locked tightly on the high cliff.

He could neither move nor sleep, and suffered the pain of wind and rain day and night.

Despite this, Prometheus just did not surrender to Zeus.

The cruel Zeus sent another vicious eagle to stand on Prometheus' knees every day, and peck at his liver with its sharp mouth.

During the day, his liver was eaten up, but at night, it grew again.

In this way, the pain Prometheus endured will never end.

For many years, Prometheus has been locked on that terrible cliff.

One day, the famous Hercules, Hercules, passed by the Caucasus Mountains. He saw Prometheus being locked on a cliff. He was indignant and pulled his bow and arrow to kill the vulture. Then he smashed the chain with a stone.
