103 Soldiers head west

More than 300 cavalry and thousands of chariots rushed along the Eastern Road to Chang'an.

Sitting in the wheel hub, leaf spring, bedding, and triple shock absorbing carriage, Liu Bei couldn't help but feel it.

The road built by Emperor Shin-Emperor made the Han Dynasty two thousand years ago, and there was a highway network covering most of the borders. What was the concept of driving on the road at that time, and running for two hundred miles in half a day?

Let me give you a very simple example. Once something happens to the frontier, the army can reach it within three days. It is so fast and powerful.

Regarding the track route, Liu Bei has two kinds of cognitions based on the current ancient books and legends.

First, all the roads are built on the roads. In other words, the reason why such a flat road is built is to pave the roads above.

Secondly, rail roads are built on some roads. For example, in some mining or forest areas that penetrate deep into barren mountains, rail roads are built for easy transportation of vehicles.

Although four hundred years have passed, what size it is is no longer verified. But Liu Bei believed that most of the first type were.

At the beginning of the Qin and Han Dynasties, all the tracks paved on the road were demolished and transformed into the main road of the Lianghan Road Network.

A large part of the corvee service in the Han Dynasty was used to maintain roads, which shows the importance of road networks.

If it weren't for living in the present, how could Liu Bei know that there would be a highway network in the Han Dynasty!

The Qin Chi Roads were all built in all directions with Xianyang as the center. At the end of the Qin Dynasty, Xianyang was burned by the King of Chu. In the early years of Emperor Gaozu of Han, Xianyang was restored, which was burned by Xiang Yu, and named Xincheng. During the reign of Emperor Wu, Xianyang was close to the Wei River. Weicheng was only more than ten miles away from Chang'an. When we arrived in Chang'an, we were equivalent to reaching the center of the entire road network. At that time, we only had to enter the Western Road again: from northwest of Weicheng to Beidijun and then into Wuwei and through the Hexi Corridor to arrive at Dunhuang. Whether we went north to Yumen or to Yangguan south, we were one step away from the Western Regions.

The Western Road is the main artery between Guanzhong and Longxi. It is also connected to the Silk Road westward, and has a very prominent strategic position. The counties along the way are repaired every year and the road conditions are excellent. It is not difficult to travel 400 miles a day with empty vehicles. A fully loaded military vehicle like Liu Bei can travel 200 miles a day.

Looking at the entire Silk Road, the road was very smooth in the Han Dynasty. Only when you travel through the Western Regions, you are prone to being robbed by the Xianbei.

The Western Regions without the Han Dynasty. To be honest, it was a scattered sand. It was just a defeated Xianbei in the Western Regions, with tens of thousands of people, which made the countries in the Western Regions suffer so much. They even came to Luoyang to ask the Han Dynasty to send troops to resolve the situation.

This is the disadvantage of the city-state.

There is no unified and centralized central dynasty.

In peacetime, culture is prosperous and business is prosperous. The sparks of wisdom and the collision of ideas are filled with the humanistic and artistic atmosphere of the East and the West. The sewers are flowing with gold coins, and the air is filled with the free smell of shit and perfume. Everything is so beautiful.

However, once a civilization built on the sand tray is encountered, it will collapse. Overnight, the city is burned down, and blood is mixed with the smell of death mixed with the smell of body fluids.

In front of the butcher's knife and sexual instruments held high by the barbarians, they also boast about how civilized, beautiful and free they are.

Is there any use for eggs?

It's just a dose of motivating medicine for the barbarians.

The premise of all freedom and beauty is power. Throughout history, this has been the case.

And before the civilization was achieved, all the wild civilizations only obeyed the strong and surrendered to the butcher knife with blood.

Duan Taiwei's Pingqiang letter was described by Liu Bei as "blood and tears sticking to hands". But what would he do if it were replaced by him?

When the national strength was at its peak, we practice persuasion and education, persist in the Chineseization, and conquer people with virtue.

When the country's strength was weak, Duan Taiwei's approach was also a dose of tiger and wolf medicine.

There are two types of surrender: respect and fear of obedience.

There are also two types of rule of the country: kingly way and domineering.

There were more than 300 cavalry and thousands of soldiers. The ordinary pavilions could not be accommodated. Liu Bei did not disturb him and collected enough food and grass, so he found a piece of wild land to camp. The soldiers were arranged layer by layer and the mechanisms were opened in sequence. A camp with clear entry and exit and distinctive distinction was completed in a very short time.

It’s okay for Linxiang to be used to it. It’s not surprising.

The members of Luoyang were all stunned. Looking at the lord Liu Bei, they were all respectful like gods and ghosts.

Technically speaking, it is not difficult.

Since the forging, the military chariots of the organs have different functions. Some are used as wall foundations. Some are used for pile-up heights, some are tower defenses, some are access controls, and some are surrounded by each other to form a camp, a hut (sick house), or a blacksmith shop, a baking shop, a camp soup pool, a wine bowl, a mobile toilet... and so on. Do you think it is magical or not.

For example, lock three carriages side by side, and open the adjacent side wall panels up and down. The lower half of the carriage wall is flattened into a floor, and the upper half is supported into a roof panel. In this way, only three carriages can be arranged to build a spacious ten-person carriage house. The three "barracks and horse carriages" are also equipped with stoves, bedding, weapon racks, simple furniture and other conveniences.

The most powerful thing is that all carriages have lifting handles. The vehicle level can be adjusted within a certain range according to the height difference of the terrain, which is convenient for combination and splicing. It is considered very comprehensively.

The great achievement of the mechanical techniques of Jimomen, Linxiang. The mechanical carriage that will be built for the lord Liu Bei with no effort. It will make combat preparations more and more skilled.

Just imagine, what a spectacular scene would be if the army after Liu Bei's future had been replaced with a carriage.

Just three hundred and sixty riders are just some small blacksmith shops and baking shops. They are more flexible and compact.

If you lead a 100,000 army, the convoys of the machinery and vehicles are combined into blacksmith workshops, baked camps, field medical halls, and so on. The scene must be spectacular.

In the large stable surrounded by forage chariots, the lords were busy feeding horses. After the camp was built, the auxiliary soldiers also came to help. More than a thousand people came from Linxiang. They were young and strong, and all Hanhu were there. Most of them came from Xilinyi. They lived in carriages and raised horses on horse racing days, and went to the horse farm to help. Recently, they were recruited as apprentices to practice and control the car. Apart from moving their family to Linxiang, it was their first time to go far away. And they were traveling with their lords, the Xilin boys were all excited.

Since the beginning of the year, in addition to the eastern, central Xianbei and border counties, the family has also gone south and settled in Xilin. Just like Liu Bei's continuous improvement of the carriages, the carriages in Xilin have also undergone many technological innovations and upgrades. The enamel armor sheets are covered with fire and theft and war. The human propulsion that moves up and down has also been replaced by animal power-driven rotors. Anyway, it is becoming more and more like the steed carriages passing on the railroad. I heard from the teenagers that the horse roads that deviate from the entire wild forest were carefully opened outside Xilin City. There are also outdoor horse farms for daily use for horse laying.

The grass on the wild forests, channels, and river banks was endless. Many Han people also began to raise horses.

The central Xianbei, which Liu Bei had no time to care about, gradually unified under the command of Bu Dugen and Ke Bi Neng. It is said that Bu Dugen was still the direct bloodline of the Great Shanyu Tan Shihuai. However, for some reason, he could escape the encirclement of the Twelve Divisions of Gaoche.

It's okay.

The Wuhuans of the three counties and the Southern Xiongnus received strong help from Liu Bei, and they were well-equipped with armor and excellent swords. Especially the various departments that tasted the sweetness, they planted alfalfa in the wastelands of border counties, and were changing nomadic to agriculture and animal husbandry. They recruited good workers from the north to build Mayi and the new city. This is a clear proof that they can be said to be strong in the army and horses.

There were the Southern Xiongnu and the Wuhuan in the three counties, and they were eyeing each other.

Xianbei women cost 100,000 or even one million yuan. How dare the Xianbei people in the central region enter the frontier and plunder?
