1.73 Xilin Racecourse

There are more and more CRRC buildings in Xilinyi, and fewer open spaces. More than 10,000 Xianbei horses are kept in the stable all day long, afraid of getting sick. Wu Lian comes to find Liu Bei. After Liu Bei carefully looked at the miniature model of Xilinyi, he immediately came up with an idea.

Then he said to Wu Lian: "Why not race horses?"

Liu Bei's thinking, Wu Lian failed to keep up for a moment: "Horse racing?"

In a short time, Liu Bei had outlined the general outline: "Yes, it's the racecourse." As he said that, he turned his attention to the large open space on the sand table located in the middle of Xilinyi: "If a racecourse is built here, the horses in the stables of the herdsmen's car building can line up to race horses on the field. Wouldn't that be wonderful!"

Wu Lian shook her head: "The car building can only drive on the railroad, how to turn?"

Liu Bei smiled and said, "Didn't you hear the car turner?"

Wu Lian was stunned: "What is the car transfer?"

While Liu Bei sent someone to call Su Bo, he drew the wheels on the wooden board.

The principle is very simple. Since the car building cannot be turned, turn the track. Pave a section of the track on a circular turntable. The car building can change the direction with the turntable.

After listening to Liu Bei's statement, Su Bo nodded happily: "The principles are understandable. The turntable is not difficult."

Liu Bei nodded and said, "You can try to build the two starting stations in the east and west."

Su Bo left now.

Locomotives in later generations could turn on the wheelbarrow, and the locomotive would rotate 180 degrees in place to make a turn.

Although there is no steering wheel, the steering of the carriage is actually very simple. There are cockpits in front and behind the carriage. When turning back, you only need to change the horse and the driver to the other end, and the rear of the car can become the front of the car. This is repeated, and it is very convenient to travel between the five-mile rail road.

If the car transfer plate is built, it will be easier to turn around.

Soon, the trial construction of the car transfer plate was completed.

The round bottom is flat and paved with stone. A circle of circular tracks is laid along the edge of the rotary wheel. The center of the round is the central axis of the rotary wheel. It is made of fine steel and the steel beams are also cast in one piece. At both ends of the lower part of the rotary wheel, each with a pair of steel wheels that can roll on the ring rail. At the upper part of the table, there is a foldable hand-held push rod at each end, which can be turned by manpower. There are steel bolts at the base of the table that can be connected to the ground, which is used to lock the table when the carriage enters and exits the rotary wheel to prevent the rotary wheel from sliding back and forth, causing the rail to be misaligned.

A very simple mechanism technique, but it works twice the result with half the effort. It turned around 180 degrees on the turntable plate and became a new scene in the city.

After the transfer of the car is completed, Liu Bei's new design for Xilinyi has also been completed.

The earliest track road in Xilinyi circles around the inner wall. It is like a "rounded square with a three-mile length" and then parallel track roads are laid along the east-west direction, dividing the rounded rectangles into rectangles in parallel.

Now, Liu Bei wants to build another "small rounded square with one mile long" rail path in the middle of the "rounded square with three miles long" side. In this way, all the east-west parallel rail paths are cut off by this "small rounded square rail path".

How to connect to the ‘small rounded square rail path’?

That’s right, turn the car wheel. Use the car wheel to turn the car wheel on the east-west parallel rail road to the two north-south rail roads, ‘small rounded square’.

The large open space surrounded by the ‘small rounded square rail road’ is the Xilin Horse Farm.

The racecourse is similar to a martial arts venue. It is a fifth-level high.

On both sides of the north and south are stands. On both sides of the east and west are car walls arranged by car buildings that are coming to race horses.

Parallel to the north and south platforms. There are two circular tracks in the shape of the "天" in the field. The grass track on the south side is and the mud track on the north side is.

The two wrapped middle open space also has a stadium of striking (polo) and obstacle courses. The tracks and stadiums do not affect each other and can compete at the same time.

The North Stand is the main stand. It consists of Liu Bei's exclusive large flat seat and viewing platform. It is up to fifteen meters and the longest is about one mile. It is built in the style of an imitation martial arts field.

The ground floor is an inline stable, with a weed silo, a saddle room, a tool room, and a weapon room. The two stables in the north and south can raise thousands of war horses. The second floor is a barracks, academies, a clinics, and a sick house. The viewing platform is built on the second floor on the south side. There are also a third floor, a fourth floor and a fifth floor on the north side. The front of the third floor is a viewing platform, and the back is a master's temple. The front of the fourth floor is both a viewing platform, and the rear is also a cavalry of the cavalry. The fifth floor is exclusive to the Shaojunhou. Unlike the martial arts field, the viewing platform on the third and fourth floors on the north side are all private rooms.

The top of the north and south stands is covered with the dome. From a distance, it looks like a tent lined with clouds, majestic and spectacular. The north and south viewing platform can accommodate ten thousand guests.

Horse racing and equestrians are now called "Chizhu" or "Zhuan horses". As early as the late Shang Dynasty, horse breeding appeared and used for riding and war. By the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, horse racing and equestrian movements had been formed. When King Wu defeated King Zhou, there were "three hundred chariots and three thousand tigers". At that time, officials who controlled military affairs and military taxes were called "Sima", which also shows the importance of horses.

Because of the use of horses in war, it became more and more prominent. The domestication and riding of horses were increasingly valued. During the Zhou Dynasty, the training and control of horses was called "Yu", and like "shooting", it was one of the "Six Arts".

By the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the wind of riding and shooting was even more prosperous. "King Wuling of Zhao Hu clothing and riding and shooting" is an example of learning cavalry skills from northern ethnic minorities.

In "Records of the Grand Historian: Biography of Sun Tzu and Wu Qi", there is also a story about Sun Bin helping Tian Ji to win the horse racing. It can be seen that horse racing has long been popular.

In the Han Dynasty, horse racing was not only popular among the people, but also in the palace.

Emperor Wu was extremely keen on horse racing and often held horse racing activities. This has a lot to do with the current martial arts customs.

Since the Western Han Dynasty, in addition to horse racing, a variety of horse skills have also been formed based on riding. For example, riders make various shapes on horseback, perform difficult riding and shooting, or "hundreds of riders compete for the first place", compete to win the championship, etc.

Riders must not only have the skills of horse-controlling, but also have agile skills.

Female knights are also uncommon. They can make many difficult moves on horseback like male knights.

Nowadays, equestrianism has been classified as a hundred operas and has become an acrobatic performance.

As soon as the Xilin Racecourse came out, the joy was thunderous.

This shows how enthusiastic people were at that time. They also know the style of martial arts in the Han Dynasty.

Anyone who has seen the model of the racecourse is stunned. The three great scholars in the academic field have praised it frequently. The racecourse is like a martial arts field, and is a place for training. It can not only train riding skills, but also create saddles, replace socks, raise horses; learn military tactics, study military rules and regulations; sergeants can station and repair their wounds and accumulate sharpness. It is very convenient.

After completion, all the cavalry of Xiwu will be stationed here. Liu Bei will also send officials from the town, generals, and daily management.

I thought the car tower was just a temporary solution to make nomads live in peace, but it was very useful!

It should be noted that the more than 10,000 Xianbei war horses brought back from the grassland were all scattered in the stables of the chariot building. If they were all freely raised in Xilin City, it would be a big mess. Take the chariot building as a unit and line up along the railroad. You can take turns to the Xilin Horse Farm, race horses and practice riding skills. How convenient!

The racecourse with a circumference of four miles can be called a heavy weapon for Xilin.

The construction of Linxiang has been completed. Hou Fu Liangjiang, Lou Sang, and many skilled workers have moved to the construction site and rushed to Xilin.

The happiest person is Wulian.

Liu Bei's jurisdiction had several cities and the most Xilin city. In addition, many of the Hu people went south to the south, or were family members of horse thieves, Han slaves lived in it, and so on. There was no prosperity at all. Now Liu Bei spared no effort and built a large-scale construction project. It shows that the young lords also attached great importance to Xilin. When it was completed, it would be crowded and lively.

This made the Nangui Hu people, led by Wulian Baizhuo, feel very pleased.
