66 Calm down the storm

The bright sunshine sprinkles from the sky, and many white flying catkins outside the window are constantly floating with the sea breeze blowing from the distance from the castle, like countless dandelions flying, and like the familiar summer snow slowly landing in my hometown.

However, these are just some poplar seeds blown out by the wind in the Red Castle Divine Wood Forest. Being like this is not a thing after all.

Standing in front of the window and watching all this silently, Ed Stark's face was expressionless, but his gray eyes were filled with complex emotions, expectations, melancholy, and a hint of unconcealed sadness.

"Last time I came to Junling, there were traces of war everywhere, but now what I see is a brand new kingdom."

His voice was depressed and pressed very low, but it was enough to make people hear it.

In the room behind him, the short Zedi man was sitting on a chair and wiping a dagger with a gravel. Hearing this, he replied: "Everything is changing, sir, including this castle."

"Yes, including this castle." Ed murmured, and suddenly laughed.

"Banyan bet with me when he was a child, which castle in the Seven Kingdoms is the strongest. I said it was Herenburg in Hejiandi, but he always claimed to be the Red Fort because it was the place where the king lived..."

"Then your brother may be disappointed now." Zedi said with some slight meaning: "The Red Fort is probably the most dangerous one among the seven kingdoms."

"He wouldn't be disappointed, because he changed his mind later."

Ed said: "He said that the Black Castle under the Great Wall is the strongest. Black Castle, do you know Holland? There is no wall there, so how can it be called solid?"

After saying that, he shook his head.

"He said we will be night watchmen when we go back."

The words didn't sound abnormal, but the Duke of the North was obviously still immersed in the sadness of his little sister's death. The people of Zedi sighed sadly after hearing this, and then reluctantly smiled and changed the subject.

"They all said the Tyriars wanted to have a queen."

What the Zedi people are talking about the recent rumor that has been circulating in the Junlin noble circle.

In order to make his sister the queen, the Duke of Hewandi bribed some vulgar people to spread rumors about the Lannister family in the West, and then hired singers to praise his own sister, mainly because he wanted to replace the Lannister family, who might become a royal relative, in order to save the disadvantages brought about by the war failure.

It is said that Lannister and the people of the Tyrier family had a dispute over this, but the Zedi people had just returned for a few days and were unable to see it with their own eyes, which made him feel regretful.

"Mes Tyriel stood on Targaryen's side in the war, and his vassal Lando Talley also made Robert suffer." Ed heard this and said, "But if I were asked to choose, I would choose the woman from the Tyriel family to be his wife, not Lannister."

This statement seemed to have a deep meaning, so the Zedi people asked thoughtfully: "Has Lord Robert made a choice?"

"Three days later, the new king will be crowned, and news about King Robert's about to marry Lannister's woman as a queen will spread throughout the seven kingdoms."

Ed said in a complicated tone: "In fact, Duke Tywin has written to Kaiyan City to summon his daughter to come, that is, we will have another wedding in the near future."

When he said this, his eyes kept blinking at the world outside the castle, and his voice was filled with gloom. "I'm tired, Holland, when Robert's wedding is over, we will return to the north."

The Zediren nodded silently when he heard this, and then the room fell into silence. Until the man at the window suddenly thought of something, turned to look at his subordinate, and his voice subconsciously lowered.

"Is that kid okay?"

"I have stopped crying lately. My new nurse has a lot of experience and has taken good care of the children." Zedito replied: "Sir, I suggest we bring her with me when we go back."

"Then you have to make sure she has enough milk." Thinking of the size of the wet nurse, Ed was a little worried.

"This matter must be cautious, it is difficult for us to find other nurses on the way."

...

"So, we're gone?"

A crisp sound rang out from the balcony of the room in Meige Building. A boy in a delicate black leather jacket was sitting on a carved chair and asked about the brown-haired middle-aged man sitting opposite him.

The sun was shining outside the window, and the golden-bottomed stag emblem on the boy's chest was shining brightly. The silver-clad deer eyes flashed with the boy's upper body. His lower body was wearing loose brown trousers, barefoot without shoes, and he looked homely.

A fluffy black cat was lying under the round table in front of him, constantly rolling around and turning as the little master's feet slowly ravaged, like a toy, but it did not look impatient at all. Instead, it squinted its eyes and made a purr, looking like enjoying it.

Davos, who was sitting opposite him, was drinking a sip of barley tea, as if he had just finished speaking, and nodded after hearing this.

"The Lion family has given up the investigation. However, the Rose family is still investigating, but they are not in sufficient staff in the King's Landing and pose no threat to us."

Lan Li nodded when she heard this, feeling quite funny inside.

He remembered one thing wrong before, that is, Duke Tyriel's sister was already engaged. He was a little nervous about it, but he didn't know if it was really stupid or confident. The Duke of Mace, of the Tyriel family, actually planned to go over to compete for the position of queen, regardless of the previous engagement and the possible impact of this matter.

As soon as he did this, everyone's suspicion disappeared. Instead, it was confirmed that the "rumor" that had been done by the Tyrier family some time ago.

So Lannister's anger was successfully led to the riverside land, and it may be that as some people claimed that the captured bandit did not betray them, nor did anyone find trouble for Davos.

In short, in all cases, on the fourth day of the Northerners' return, that is, now, the matter has basically come to an end, because Robert has made a decision in public.

Lan Li was a little sorry for this, because the Duke's throne had failed, and the dirty water he had been poured down was swallowed by his cheap brother. In other words, Cersei, who had been smirking all day in his memory, would still become the future queen.

But Renli wasn't very frustrated about this.

He didn't believe that there were rumors. Cersei dared to flirt with his younger brother with his back to Robert, and he didn't believe that his sister-in-law would have given birth to a blond son. Robert would foolishly think it was his.

Thinking of this, Lan Li suddenly asked, "Where is that Bai Lu Wenda? What did she say?"

He asked the remaining one of the stupid bandits a while ago, who had been secretly hidden by Davos.

"She originally wanted to save her companions, but the arrested bandits had already been beheaded. She had nowhere to go and was about to take her son back to the Royal Inn." Davos said, unable to help saying, "She is a talent, sir, maybe you can really use her."

"What are you for?"

Lan Li was surprised when she heard this. The person in front of her seemed to be optimistic about the female bandit?

"It's a pity to run errands, do things, be a maid, and send them back to raise pigs." The former smuggler said admiringly: "And she is also literate."

"Learn from literacy?"

Lan Li paused her feet, thought for a while, and asked, "Is she reliable?"

"I believe she is reliable because the facts have been proven." Davos replied.

"So she is very familiar with the nobles from all over the seven countries?"

"She used to kidnap nobles for a living," Davos replied.

"Kidnap..."

After hearing this, the boy's mind was unconsciously flashed through his eyes, so he narrowed his eyes: "I will write a note later, and you will give it to her for me. If she can help me do this, then I can accept her son as a servant. If I become a lord in the future, I can also consider cultivating him as a knight, and she herself can-"

As he said that, he suddenly frowned, then looked down at the table in front of him. The black cat was lying there and bit his heel with sharp teeth. Then he screamed in dissatisfaction when facing the gaze that Lan Li was gaze.

Are you a cat, a human or a dog?

Lan Li was very curious about the real situation of the cat, but he had studied the cat for a while and didn't make a one or two. Now he was too lazy to think about it, so he rolled his eyes at it and began to ravage the clingy cat with his feet as dough.

"You can be my maid, or a female guard." The black-haired boy who withdrew his gaze and added what he was about to say.

"If she wants."

Davos nodded when he heard this, chatted with the boy about some daily words, and finally walked out of the room with a pampered scroll full of words.

However, he had just left Meige Tower when he suddenly saw Stannis staring at him in a corridor.
