Extra Story Characters: Daliang Mingdi

Emperor Xiaoming of Daliang, Liu Xuan, also named Shouli, was the grandson of King Liu Pijiang of Yue. His birth date is unknown and he was named King of Guilin. He had been imprisoned for several years in the first year of Xianchu.

Emperor Ming's grandmother was the daughter of the Xiao family, and she and Xiao Shan's father were siblings. Emperor Ming's mother was the daughter of the Xie family, and she was the sister of Xie Qian.

Emperor Ming had a rare reputation as a virtuous man. He had good relations with Taoists all over the world, as well as knights and Confucian scholars. He liked to talk about world affairs, criticize current ills, and criticize people. He was tabooed by the court and was imprisoned for discussing political affairs privately.

Emperor Ming was smart and eager to learn, not ashamed to ask questions, profound and broad-minded. He had read a lot of books since he was a child and was good at strategy and theory.

When Emperor Ming was in prison, he remained calm and continued to study and make clear his ambitions. His good friend Liu Mingge and others used their family wealth to bribe ministers and prison guards to spread the news and build a good family.

In the summer of the eighth year of Xianchu Dynasty, the city of Jinling was destroyed and the emperor was killed. After Chen Hongyi and others recovered Jinling, the family conspired to establish Emperor Ming.

In the ninth year of Xianchu Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty was changed to Yanchang. In the second year of Yanchang, all prefectures and counties in Hebei were recovered and restructured.

In the third year of Yanchang's reign, Zhu Yaoshi rebelled and soon returned to An'an.

In the fourth year of Yanchang, Zhu Yaoshi rebelled, captured Zhong Zhiming, captured Jinling, and Emperor Ming died for his country.

Emperor Ming of the Liang Dynasty originally wanted to unify the country and eradicate bad government, but he was restrained internally by his aristocratic family, externally trapped in Mobei and the rebels, and eventually his country was ruined and he died.

Although Emperor Ming was held hostage by aristocratic families, he was unwilling to be a puppet emperor and granted military power to Chen Hongyi. He made an exception and promoted Liu Jian, Prince of Qinghe County, to a prince and granted him the title of leader of the army.

Emperor Ming was frail and sick, and relied on Liu Mingge's treatment to extend his life in his early years. In the eighth year of Xianchu Period, there was no news about Liu Mingge's voyage to sea.

In the second year of Yanchang, Emperor Ming's old illness relapsed. Murong Ling devoted himself to treating the disease and saved Emperor Ming's life.

At the end of the third year of Yanchang, Emperor Ming relied on the internal eunuchs and internal guards to secretly summon alchemists to refine elixirs and take elixirs to relieve pain and replenish energy.

Emperor Ming encountered ups and downs, and his great ambitions were difficult to achieve. He took over a foundation that had been weak for hundreds of years and had nothing to rely on. However, he remained determined and refused to give up even if he died. He did not become an escaping emperor or surrender to the enemy. He sacrificed his life for his country and the world pity him.

If he is not the emperor of a subjugated country, but when he encounters a subjugated country, regardless of whether we are enemies or ourselves, it is fair to posthumously postulate Liu Xuan as Emperor Ming!
