Chapter 279 Heaven and Earth are not benevolent
"The heaven and earth are unkind and regard all things as straw dogs."

Therefore, the heaven and earth will not regard all things as straw dogs, because everything is the same and equal in their eyes; and the sages will not regard the people as straw dogs, but will only regard the people's hearts as their own hearts, and there is no difference in everyone's eyes.

And if you want to use this as a foundation and transcend heaven and earth, then you are nothing more than learning the heart of a saint. As the saying goes, "A saint walks the way of heaven, the most good is like water, and understands morality. What he thinks and does is sincere in the way, everything is indomitable and benevolent."
In short, if you want to understand the Tao, you must first have virtue. If you want to have virtue, you must first cultivate and think; only by being good and sincere can you achieve the Tao.
