Chapter 137 Zen Forest(1/2)
"It's these gray-clothed thieves again..."
Crowding among a group of bald heads with panic expressions, Zhao Ziri and Zhao Daguanren looked at the flag opposite and felt the new and old hatreds surged into their hearts.
"Is it really a disaster that I have suffered..."
It was these thieves in gray who destroyed him from outside Changle City that had caused his ambition to be in charge of the country; they also broke through the Zhaojiazhai, which was run by his family, causing his family to be destroyed and they could only be displaced on the road, and they kept leaning over others like a broken dog, so that they could survive.
Including this time, it was the fourth time that he had hit these disaster stars. When he broke through the rainy night outside Chaoyang City, if he hadn't seen the opportunity and led people to leave the team after crossing the river, he would have been lucky enough to hit the camp of these gray-clothed thieves. The result was that the situation and the situation were worse than each time, and the unlucky and down-and-out time was even worse than each time.
He was accompanied by a small official army school with the surname Su, known as the lucky Sula; but he was a strange person who claimed to be able to survive in a lifetime.
It is said that he was dragged down on the head of Chaoyang City, and he should have been killed on the spot by dragging the stone. However, a collapsed wall stone killed the knife and axe driver waiting below. Then the thief began to attack the wall, and the military guards who were in custody hurried to block it. He ran out of his life. Then when he suddenly walked away on the rainy night, he was the first to climb the team, and he ran away in the wrong direction and fell into the water. When he swam to the shore, he found that all the people who rushed to the camp had died, and he was left to escape quickly.
This time, in order to resist the invading thieves, at least, he had to pick out some people who had experienced the battle or the army to serve as the leader among all kinds of people stranded in the temple. So Su Xiaoxiao was pointed at the team with Zhao Guanren. But Zhao Ziri was a little impatient. This guy was like a madam and was noisy and chattering as soon as he started to fight, and he couldn't stop talking, making people feel restless and restless.
"Officer Zhao, don't worry..."
However, the Su Xiaoxiao did not see anything. Zhao Ziri's face was filled with impatience and disgust, and continued to comfort her left and right.
"I have fought many of these thieves..."
"They came so hasty that it was not so easy to attack."
"At least, we must set up a camp before making plans."
Then, I heard a whistling wind like a locust in the air swept across the wall, bringing out a tiny sound of rain clicking. In an instant, I heard the monks and earthen groups screaming in the crowds in front and behind, falling down and falling over the heads, faces, chests, abdomen, shoulders and arms.
"Don't panic...it's just a test,"
Su Xiaoxiao waved his hand quickly and shouted to the others who were huddled under the wall.
"Stay steady, you must keep it steady. We will pick up the bow and arrow, and we will also give it back..."
"As long as you deter the opposite side, you can get a buffer..."
However, when they were timid and they were just protruding their heads, another wave of dense arrows shot straight across the wall, and the hands of those who were quickly exposed to their bodies and were about to shoot the arrows pierced through them and fell to the ground, dying on the spot or screaming in tears.
“It doesn’t matter…”
Su Xiaoxiao's face turned pale again, and he hurriedly said louder
"There are walls that block them from shooting us..."
Before he finished speaking, a fireball with long smoke was thrown high, and with a cry, it fell behind the crowd not far away. It exploded into pieces, and many hot sparks and burning debris were scattered on the heads and backs of the crowd, and suddenly it burned with a shrill scream and a cry of mourning.
"Don't run, it's safest to hide under the wall."
Su Xiaoxiao seemed to be unimaginable, so he could only keep calm and continue shouting.
"Right up the barrier, and nothing will happen..."
"The thief came in a hurry and had no time to buy attack equipment..."
"We just need to look forward to the door... not to lose it."
Then, Zhao Ziri and him heard a dull sound of chisels colliding. The back of the high wall covered with green vines, ivy and moss marks suddenly sounded, and a disrepaired loose-cut brick was shaken down, hitting a fat and heroic monk soldier with a shiny forehead, and blood splashed down.
At this moment, Zhao Ziri felt that she did not hate someone so much, and wanted to pull out his intestines and tie him around her neck.
......
As the arrows sped out from the crossbow team and the archer array of archers were like rain, the mottled mossy wall of the temple suddenly covered the mossy walls of the temple with a layer of white tail feathers. From a distance, it looked like a layer of white fluff grew on gray-brown and moldy stinky tofu. Those figures and figures that could not dodge were like fallen leaves falling in the autumn wind, falling from the walls that were climbing.
However, the other party also shot several rounds of residual arrows, but they were so scattered that they fell through the attack sequence of the sign-up cart crossing the bridge, but they could not cause any casualties or losses; after all, under such targeted and full-scale suppression, they could no longer look up and aim at the identified direction;
At this time, the messenger who went to Shaoguan was finally brought back. He came from another main force of the Rebel Army, a contact person from the former leader of the Feihuang Army, a bearded and quite old prime minister, named Huo Cun's deputy captain.
"Let's go, this Nanhua Temple cannot be easily attacked..."
Before he got close to the horse, he shouted in shock.
"This is really a big deal."
"It's too late..."
Zhou Huaian said lightly
"The attack has started, so I can't stop anymore..."
"It's so troublesome."
However, the other party stamped his foot in a hurry.
"Don't you know where this Nanhua Temple comes from?"
"What's the origin..."
Zhou Huaian looked sincere and asked for advice.
"Can you still reach the sky..."
"Even if you can't reach the sky, it's not far away."
The vice-captain Huo Cun, however, changed his face and persuaded him.
"There are countless Buddhist believers, which really affect the whole body."
"Can the Void Master know the Zen ancestral courtyard..."
"Isn't that Shaolin Temple in Shaoshi Mountain, Dengzhou?"
Zhou Huaian thought about it, but the song "Shaolin...Shaolin" was once again remembered in his mind.
"That's the past..."
The deputy Wei Huo Cun's expression became more and more distressed
"But now, it is the time when the Sixth Patriarch's Dharma lineage is flourishing..."
What, Zhou Huaian couldn't help but be stunned. He was attacking Hongquan Temple (which was the Nanhua Temple in Shaozhou in later generations) and was the ancestral home of the Southern Zen School?
It turns out that Nanhua Temple in Shaozhou is actually known as the first Zen Temple in Lingnan. It was first established in the third year of Tianjian in Liang Dynasty (504) and was originally named Baolin Temple. The Tang Dynasty courts in all dynasties named "Zhongxing Temple" and "Hongquan Temple", and many rewards have been passed down to this day.
But it has another identity that is the world's most eye-catching one, which is the true ancestral home of the Southern School of Zen, the six groups of Zen Buddhism, and the temple where Huineng, the Southern School, established the Southern School lineage;
At least in terms of rank and specification, it is almost the same as Shaolin Temple, the largest Zen forest in the north at this time. As one of the ancestral courtyards of the "Eight Sects and Six Veins" of Buddhism in the world, it seems to involve the black history of the division of Zen Buddhism in the north and south.
For example, according to the historical allusion that Zhou Huaian knew, Hongren, the fifth Zen ancestor of the early Tang Dynasty, privately passed on his robe and bowl to the new disciple Huineng who stood out in Pingto Mountain in Huangmei (now Huangmei County, Hubei Province) (a joke about the famous Bodhi and Mingjing verses that were widely known on the Internet in later generations and were often used to show off from time to time); thus arousing the dissatisfaction of the great disciple Shenhui, who was highly respected and experienced in the sect, and even sent his junior brother Huiming to chase him thousands of miles away and was subdued by Huineng.
Later, Huineng, who arrived in Guangzhou, lived in seclusion for five years and then began to preach the Taoist teachings at Faxing Temple (now Guangxiao Temple) outside the city and made a splash. Since then, he was invited to Baolin Temple in Shaozhou and created the Zen Southern School, which is different from the ancestral temple of Shaolin Temple. In his later years, Xinzhou Guoen Temple, which was also Lingnan Road, passed away.
Later, during the Kaiyuan period, Huineng's great disciple Shenhui, who overwhelmed the heroes at the Luoyang Watai Wuzha Conference and argued for various sects, and began to spread to the north. After the Anshi Rebellion, due to the political power of Shenhui, the status of the Sixth Patriarch of Huineng was finally officially recognized by the court. Finally, in the 12th year of Zhenyuan of Emperor Dezong of Tang Dynasty, Huineng was appointed as the Sixth Patriarch of Zen.
Since then, the Southern School overwhelmed the Northern School of Shenxiu, and became the main Zen school that has been passed down to this day; as the saying goes, "The eight sects in the world are the dominant Zen school; the six Zen school members are the only ones, and the six ancestors are the only ones."
However, as a new generation of university monks who are educated in materialism in New China, who have a view of life, world view and values, they actually don’t care about this illusory thing that ancient people were quite obsessed with and valued.
These armed monks entrenched in the temples knew that they were not good people at first glance; and their previous reactions and manifestations focused on this. So don’t talk about the false reputation of the Zen ancestral temple, even if the Sixth Patriarch Huineng and his disciples climbed out from Sharitali to block the way, Zhou Huaian would still use swords to pass back.
"It is reported that the false chief clerk was also a Buddhist,"
Speaking of this, Huo Cun complained a little
"Why are you so rash and impulsive?"
"But I don't know what kind of big trouble will be involved."
"Aren't you afraid of breaking away from your master..."
"That's because I have been subjected to Tantric methods..."
Zhou Huaian smiled slightly and said
"So naturally there are no taboos..."
"Mian...Zong..."
Now, he suddenly opened his mouth in amazement, but he didn't know what to say.
"So, it's basically not a whole person..."
When Zhou Huaian said this, he still silently recited in his heart, "The great Dharma of Tantra/The Dharma of Tantra" and "The sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred sacred
Haven't you seen that later Tantric Buddhism can be justified in the world to practice in the world. In the name of various practices, kill animals, kill animals, drink alcohol, eat and drink, find women, and use the name of cultivation to make artifacts. It is also touted by foreigners as a high-level pure land of human beings, and the last mystery is in the name of all practices. In this era, Tang Mi was once a very noble thing;
Although there are not endless things like later generations, there are various fake living Buddhas who have been reincarnated without the approval of the people's government at or above the county level, and they are scattered and cheated in the literary circles and petty bourgeois groups, and collect celebrities everywhere, rich disciples to make money; there are also literary and artistic young women who take the initiative to post to their doors, willing to act as roles such as Rinpoche, Dakinis, and Vajra to do whatever they want; but it is also one of the once awesome upper class trends.
Especially the Vajra wisdom, good and fearless, and buckling of the three great masters of Tantric Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty, were all great masters favored and praised by the emperor at that time. In particular, the last one, Bukong Sanzang, who was known as the contemporary good-looking heaven, was granted the title of national teacher for Emperor Suzong of Tang and Emperor Daizong of Tang. He claimed that he had cursed Shi Siming to death and specially built the Qinglong Temple in Chang'an as a Dharma-propagation temple.
One of the disciples, Monk Huiguo, also took over a scholar from Japan, and thus indirectly gave birth to the Dongmi lineage headed by the Shinyan Sect in Japan and became even more evil. It also extended the Nichiren Sect, which specializes in making women become Buddhas in this life, and specially formed a group to incite peasants to riot, and claimed that killing and setting fires can be used to be reborn in the Pure Land Zhen Sect (Yixian Sect).
Of course, Zhou Huaian claimed that he had been learned from the Tantric lineage in Buddhism, mainly to take the blame for those messy alien ideas.
After all, due to the decline and decline of the Indian Buddhism in the early days, the Tantric Buddhism, which was repeatedly severed from the inheritance, was born. In the process of Buddhism entering the end of the world, although all kinds of monks and masters who wanted to travel east to the Middle Land were like crucian carp, only a few of them could succeed, such as Bodhidharma and Kumarajiva, who were lucky enough to have great skills and appreciated by the emperor.
More names of unknown existences are buried in the thirst, heat, plagues and acute illnesses, quicksands and swamps, or under the swords of wild beasts and robbers, and become an unknown bone that Xu sees as bans on the Silk Road. (So, when Xuanzang was able to pass on the Dharma back to India, he could not help but have great perseverance and great ambitions, as well as extraordinary force and wisdom to adapt to changes)
And not everyone who survived Middle-earth was able to get the result of appreciation and recognition. More often than not, they died of illness and old age in Middle-earth without even leaving a name in historical records.
Only the few who are lucky can be accepted by the upper class out of curiosity; but it is also difficult for them to stand out. They must carry various skills other than Buddhism, such as politics, economy, and cultural knowledge, as a stepping stone to impress the upper class and preach the mission. Many ancient knowledge such as medicine, literature, music, and dance from India have been exchanged and integrated with local culture through these ways of spreading Buddhism.
Of course, the best ones are undoubtedly the art of the erectile dynasty from the ancient Brahmin system and other health-preserving methods derived from the ancient Brahmin system; after all, the instinct of pursuing reproduction and immortality is always a consistent eternal theme regardless of the race and national sector of human beings; it is also the most likely area for any emperor, general and minister who are at the top of society to master the vast resources. Therefore, these monks who are active in the palace and the family of ministers often have various strange and negative reputations.
For example, the first time to spread Tantric Buddhism into Tubo, the master and disciple of Lotus Ring, and even Dandan were blown up by the Mahayana Buddhist monks from Han area brought by Princess Wencheng and the disciples of the "Mokoyanna" group of Dharma protectors and monks; and another master who was the ordained, Yixi Wangbo, also died of a hunger strike due to fright.
To be continued...
