Chapter 07: Challenge Bloodletting
The colleagues are enemies, and the relationship between the three major mercenary groups in Huaores City has always been very tense.
The Blood-Thorn Mercenary Group and the Wild Wolf Fox Mercenary Group are both old mercenary groups with nearly a hundred years of inheritance. They have been fighting openly and secretly before the rise of the Blue Ape.
The rapid rise of the Blue Ape Mercenary Group has gained a share of the market share occupied by the two companies, and it blocked the two companies at the same time. Naturally, there will be no less friction between them. Most of the ways to resolve friction between mercenaries rely directly on force, and they rarely sit down to negotiate calmly, because compromise is often regarded as a manifestation of weakness.
When Emperor Tris urged his fighting spirit, Tony, Angus and several mercenaries also prepared for the battle.
In the bar, other mercenaries who were close to two groups of people hid to the side so as not to be affected by the fish. However, none of them left, all holding their shoulders and holding wine glasses to watch the fun.
Even Nightingale, the owner of the bar, had no intention of interfering, and dragged her chin behind the bar to watch the fun.
It is common for mercenaries with excessive male hormones to fight in bars if they drink too much. As long as they don’t move weapons and don’t lose their lives, Nightingale doesn’t care about anything. Anyway, the broken things will be compensated at the price. No mercenary dares to rely on Nightingale’s account. As long as her suitors survived, they are almost at the top of the leader of various mercenary groups.
On the verge of the fury of Tristi, the bar door was pushed open again.
"Sister Nightingale, why is it so lively here today?" Adeline, wearing a gorgeous magician cloak, walked in slowly.
Nightingale immediately smiled on her face. She was also a mercenary. Nightingale and Adeline had a very good private relationship.
"You're here just in time. Tony, the little bastard, drank some wine, and there was a bit of a verbal conflict with Deputy Commander Tristi."
Nightingale scolded Tony in fact, she gave Triss a way out and wanted to take the opportunity to resolve the fight.
"Such coincidentally, Deputy Commander of Emperor Tris is here too. I'll invite the brothers who are 'Blood-thorn' to have a drink!" Adeline smiled softly.
Emperor Tris had to suppress the fighting spirit on his body, and no one could underestimate the powerful combat power of the intermediate magician. More importantly, with the addition of Adeline, his side may not be the opponent of the Blue Ape's mercenary.
"We have received the kindness of Deputy Commander Adeline. We still have a few glasses of wine to sting blood." Tristi snorted coldly and led people to a table next to him.
A fight disappeared invisible because of Adeline's accident.
"Who is this little guy? Are you a newly acquired magic apprentice?" Nightingale suddenly found that there was a little boy behind Adeline.
At this time, Arthur was wearing a short blue warrior suit, a pair of brown soft-sole cowhide boots on his feet, and a long black hair tied neatly behind his head with a blue hairband, revealing a clean little face, with a smile on his eyebrows and eyes.
Not only Yan Ying, Tony, Angus and others also noticed Arthur at this time, and they opened their mouths in surprise. If they had not followed Adeline, they would not be able to connect the beautiful boy in front of them with the little orc-like Arthur.
"Aunt Nightingale." Arthur greeted politely.
"What a handsome little guy! If the aunt saw you when she was young, she would be fascinated by you!" Nightingale stretched out her hand and pinched Arthur's face.
Arthur subconsciously dodged, but found that he could not dodge at all.
"He is the newly hired assistant of Brother Randle. Sister Nightingale's barbecue is well-known, so I'll bring him to see it." Adeline explained with a smile.
"Oh, poor little guy, that guy Randall is a weird guy! But your Aunt Nightingale's barbecue will make you forget all the unpleasant things!" Nightingale twisted Arthur's face again before turning back to the kitchen to prepare things.
Adeline took Arthur and sat directly at the table with Tony and Angus.
Tony was still unhappy and muttered: "I really don't understand why you are so polite to 'Trisey'. You should work with us to deal with the blood-thorned guys!"
"What can we do if we win this meaningless bar fight? In the end, Captain Keynes is going to finish it? Tony, we are mercenaries, not those gangsters in the city. Any efforts we make must be rewarded accordingly!" Adeline scolded Tony with a stern face.
"Yeah, yeah." Arthur nodded subconsciously while stuffing barbecue into his mouth.
Tony didn't dare to refute Adeline, and reached out to slap Arthur in the back of the head, "What do you know, little thing?"
Arthur swallowed the flesh in his mouth and turned Tony to a glance, "I think Teacher Adeline is very right. Even the orcs know not to fight fearlessly."
"Fearless battle? Do you think I don't understand those stupid orcs? They always fight each other when they are fine." Tony reached out to hit Arthur again.
Arthur was prepared this time and slipped from his seat to the table, "They were competing for the title of the strongest warrior in the camp for honor."
"What we are competing with the 'Blood Thorn' now is honor, the honor of the strongest mercenary group in Huaores City. What do you think should you do according to the orc rules?"
"Then challenge them openly!" Arthur squatted under the table and raised his head to Tony.
"Challenge?" Tony was stunned for a moment, then smiled wickedly, "Okay, then you are going to challenge the guys who are thrusting blood on behalf of our Blue Virgin?"
"Okay." Arthur came out from under the table and walked straight towards Tristi.
"Tony!" Adeline glared at Tony fiercely.
"It's okay, if this kid dares to get close to 'Tricy' and the others, I will..."
Tony was interrupted by a crisp voice just halfway through his words.
"On behalf of the Blue Ape Mercenary Group, I officially challenged the Blood-Spirit Mercenary Group. Do you dare to fight?"
Tristi gritted his teeth, staring at Adeline and Tony with murderous eyes, and letting a child challenge him. This is a naked humiliation!
"Don't be like a soft boy, do you dare to fight?" Arthur repeated again.
"Soft egg" is an idiom when orcs provoke each other. To Tristi sounds like another stab in the chest.
Tristi slapped the table, "Let's fight, Adeline, Tony, who of you come to die!"
"Captain Tracedi, you seem to have made a mistake. It was my challenge. Your opponent is me." Arthur looked at Tracedi and said seriously.
Tristi was suddenly furious, "Did they ask you to die?"
"No, it was my request. Please don't draw conclusions easily before the duel ends."
The fighting spirit on Tristi burst out again, pressing Arthur's body and shaking it back and taking two steps back, "Do you know, I can kill you easily with just one finger!"
Arthur raised his fist and made a battle posture, "You can try it!"
Tristi raised a finger, and the light green Dou Qi extending out of his finger was more than a foot long, slowly stabbing Arthur's eyebrows.
Adeline, Tony, Angus and others all stood up. Even if they wanted to go over and save Arthur, it would be too late.
Arthur seemed to be frightened and had no idea of dodging the fighting spirit that stabbed him.
At the last moment, Emperor Tris unexpectedly took back his fighting spirit. If he killed a child here today, he would become the target of ridicule for all the mercenaries in the city.
Tristi suddenly looked up at Adeline, "Are you sure you want to let this child challenge?"
"No, I'll do it!" Tony really didn't expect Arthur to challenge Tristi.
But Adeline grabbed Tony who was about to step forward and nodded slowly, "Yes, we confirm."
