Chapter 05 The Letter of the Year

Arthur and his team returned to Huaeres did not wait for the expected blood-thrust revenge.

After three consecutive days, the blood-stinging reaction was not done at all. It seemed that Arthur humiliated Tristi by humiliating him.

The blood-thorned forbearance and low-keyness did not satisfy Arthur and the Blue Ape. Being secretly thought of is more terrifying than coming to the door directly.

Arthur did not continue to wait. He had more important things to do in Huaores than the grudge between him and the blood.

On the fourth day, Arthur took everyone from the Blue Ape to the mercenary union in the city.

With the previous ten warriors, Blue Ape now has a size of 20 people, but what is ridiculous is that Arthur, the only one who has the G-level mercenary group of nearly 20 people, has the qualification of G-level mercenary. The first thing Arthur has to do is to register mercenary qualifications for everyone in the Mercenary Union.

The Mercenary Union and Arthur left no change, and it was still a blue steeplet stone house. The first floor mission hall is the area for mission release and delivery, and the area for handling mercenaries and mercenary groups related affairs is on the second floor.

There are two semicircular reception desks on the second floor, and there is a young female reception staff behind each reception desk. In the mercenary union, you often encounter mercenaries with strange tempers or irritable personalities. Arrangement of young girls to handle various mercenary affairs can save a lot of trouble and conflict.

"The Blue Ape Mercenary Group renewal." Arthur said as he handed over his mercenary badge.

Mercenary unions actually provide intermediary services between mercenaries and employers. The cost of maintaining the daily operation of the union mainly comes from two parts. Part of it is that the union will draw a very low proportion of remuneration from each completed mercenary task as information fee. The other part of the fee is the membership fee paid by major registered mercenary groups every year, which varies depending on the level of the mercenary group.

If a mercenary group does not pay the membership fee for the previous year, they will not be able to receive new tasks in the union the next year.

This method is not to use the mercenary union with many forces or wealth-making, but to an effective management method for registered mercenary groups. There are so many registered mercenary groups in the trade union. If a mercenary group can’t even pay the membership fees, there is no need to continue to mercenary world. In addition, some small and medium-sized mercenary groups change frequently, and there are many groups destroyed in the mission like "Blue Ancestor" back then. Mercenary union stipulates that if the lowest level G-level mercenary group does not pay the membership fees for three consecutive years, they will be cancelled in the union membership registration. And so on, even a B-level mercenary group will not pay the membership fees for eight consecutive years, while the Blue Ancestor has not paid the membership fees for seven years.

It is no secret for the mercenary union to return to Hua Ores, but the female staff who received the reception still looked at Arthur in surprise, "You haven't paid the fee for seven years, a total of 700 gold coins."

Arthur took out a crystal card and slapped it on the table, "No need to find it, let's continue the membership fee for the next three years if you have extra. In addition, the mercenary group needs to update some information."

"You said?"

"The Blue Apes commander Cairns died in battle, the commander was replaced by Arthur, and two new deputy commanders, Joan and Huey."

The female staff covered her inner surprise and happily completed the procedures for Arthur, and all the information was updated in the union's magic manual.

Then Arthur applied for the mercenary group to register a new mercenary as the leader of the Blue Ape Mercenary Group.

"Because mercenary registration requires verification of the strength of the new mercenary, I do not have the authority to apply for it, and I need to be at the vice president or above of the branch to apply for it. Please wait a moment, and I will see which vice president is here." After saying that, the female staff member trotted to the back and asked for instructions.

Arthur's impression was that even if the vice president of the Mercenary Union was not an old man in his seventies or eighties, he had to be a middle-aged uncle, so that he could deal with those rude and difficult mercenaries.

What Arthur did not expect was that the female employee brought back a girl who looked younger than herself. The girl wore a dark union robe, square-framed crystal glasses, and flax-colored hair, and looked very steady.

The female staff member introduced: "This is our Vice President of Vinigia."

"Are you Arthur?" The vice president unexpectedly took off his eyes and leaned over to Arthur and looked at him seriously.

It seems to be a very impolite behavior to outsiders, and Vinigia, who took off her eyes, exposed sporadic freckles on both sides of her nose.

Arthur suddenly grabbed Vinigia's wrist, "I remember who you are? Where is my thing?"

With no effort, Vinigia, who appeared in front of her, was the girl Arthur was looking for whom he gave the Star Wood Box. Although he had only seen her once, her flax-colored hair and freckles on her face, these details made Arthur recognize her instantly.

Winigia let Arthur grab his wrist, "I grabbed the girl's hand for the first time when I met, and asked for something from him. Isn't this a bit rogue?"

The female staff next to him, Huey behind Arthur and others were completely shocked. The two people they met for the first time seemed to have a story.

Arthur let go of Vinigia's hand a little embarrassedly, "I came to the Mercenary Union this time to find you."

"Okay, I happen to have something to ask you, let's go and have a single talk." After Vinigia said that, she turned around and walked back. Arthur didn't bother to say hello to Huey and the others and followed him directly.

Joan looked at the backs of the two people who quickly disappeared from the stairs and poked Alia gently, "You have to be careful, I think the two of them may have had an affair before."

Alia glared at Joan without saying a word.

In a spacious room on the third floor of the union, Winegia sat in a comfortable position in a wide high-back leather chair, signaling Arthur to sit on the stool opposite him.

Arthur did not sit down, but stood condescendingly in front of Vinigia and said straight to the point: "In addition to finding you to get something back from that year, I also want to ask President Brandon for some things?"

"You are looking for my uncle to ask about the relevant information about the client of the task of Blue Apes back then, right?"

Vinigia was surprised that Arthur's purpose was to come.

"But I want to disappoint you, my uncle is dead."

"When did you die?"

"It's almost half a year after you were attacked."

"Are you also being assassinated?" Arthur felt increasingly terrifying about the conspiracy, and the other party cut off all possible hidden dangers.

"No, it's just an accident. When he went to the headquarters to do business, the carriage accidentally fell off the cliff."

Arthur lowered his head and fell into deep thought. Could it be that he had guessed wrong? He raised his head for a long time, "You said you had something to come to me?"

"Well, I don't know if my uncle expected something to happen. We found a letter to the Blue Ape in his relics."

Arthur instantly turned from loss to ecstasy, "Where is the faith? Give it to me!"
