Chapter 23 Sauron Canyon

The beautiful and quiet mountains are scattered with broken corpses of Bi Li.

If you meet Bi Liqun, you will be a small mercenary group, and the broken corpses on the ground are from the human race. Unfortunately, Bi Liqun encountered the Blue Virgin today!

This is the land where the strong prey on the weak, and this is the law of survival in the Belland continent.

Except for five or six mercenaries who suffered minor injuries and bleeding, the Bi Li group did not cause much damage to the mercenary group.

"Women, please bandage it briefly, and we will leave here immediately. The bloody smell of so many corpses will soon attract large beasts." As soon as the battle ended, Cairns issued an order to evacuate the mercenary group.

The entire mercenary group was very fast. The injured mercenaries helped each other to simply treat each other's wounds. After the others sorted out their weapons and equipment, they quickly evacuated the battlefield.

The bodies of Bi Li stayed directly in the place. Although Bi Li was barely considered a first-level monster, it was not very valuable. Although the fur was worth some money, it was too troublesome to peel it, and the flesh was rough and difficult to swallow. There were no mercenaries or hunters in the Orlando Mountains, where prey was everywhere, who would eat Bi Li’s meat.

The mercenary group traveled between the rugged mountain roads for an afternoon, and stopped to rest in a valley when it was dusk.

After a battle of life and death, he kept rushing all afternoon, and even the physical condition of the third-level warrior was almost at its limit. But Arthur found that the mercenaries of the Blue Age are really unique. No mercenary complained or fell behind in the whole afternoon, and even the injured mercenaries were supported by their partners or carried on their backs, no one fell behind.

After the team stopped, Arthur was so tired that he lay on the ground, but then he immediately got up because he found that except for himself, no mercenary sat down and rested immediately even if his physical strength reached its limit.

The mercenaries were naturally divided into several groups. Adeline commanded a group of mercenaries to remove the boxes on the musk ox's back to prepare for dinner and camping. Tony and Angus each led a group of mercenaries to continue to march in the left and right directions. They had to patrol the surroundings to ensure that there were no hidden dangers such as large monsters nearby, so that the mercenary group would officially start camping.

Other mercenaries who had no missions seemed to be loose and casually standing around, but in fact they still formed a circle to protect the musk ox and the goods in the center. No one could approach the commissions for this mission without any movement.

This is the experience accumulated by the old mercenaries over the years of missions, because dangers will come at any time without warning in the Orlando Mountains.

When Tony and Angus returned one after another, the mercenary group began to officially camp.

When the outer guard post was set up, Angus sprinkled a circle of deworming medicine around the camp and set up several small traps with early warning functions, the mercenaries had been resting for a day before they could let go.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the accompanying wood magician Waopol used two "Tree Sprouts" spells to completely heal the two mercenaries who were seriously injured before. In a non-combat environment, the magician would not easily let his magic be less than half of his own. Before Waopol's magic recovered, the remaining injured mercenaries could only use herbs to stop bleeding.

Other mercenaries began to joke around the bonfire that had just been lit. Before the food was cooked, some people could not wait to take out their own wine.

Cairns, Adeline, Tony and Angus, the leaders of several mercenary groups sat alone in front of a small bonfire. The elf Iraya still did not appear in the team. Arthur took the opportunity to get over because he gave a few people a barbecue.

Adeline gently twitched the bonfire with one end of the magic wand to make it burn more vigorously. The fire-type magician's staff is a natural fire-driven tool.

"I think you should tell us the destination of this mission so that we can make more preparations for the next trip." Adeline said without raising her head while fiddling with the fire.

"I thought as long as I didn't say it, you would never ask?" Cairns replied in a quip tone.

"You are the leader of the group. If you don't say the mission, it will make sense for you, but I have a very bad feeling since I entered the mountains."

"Is a woman's sixth sense?"

"Yes, woman's intuition."

"Soren Canyon, our mission is the destination of Sauren Canyon."

Adeline's hand shook, and a huge ball of fire burst out from one end of the magic wand. Cairns obviously shocked her when she said it so directly.

Tony and Angus were also stunned, but then they showed completely different expressions on their faces. Tony's eyes were filled with excitement, and Angus's face seemed to suddenly freeze, with a stiff expression.

When Arthur first heard the place name "Soren Canyon" and he was very curious about how a place caused several people to react so much.

Adeline sighed softly, "No wonder I feel uneasy. It is a curse place. It is said that there are still remaining magical auras left after the war between gods and demons in ancient times, intertwined and wandered in the canyon. Affected by this aura, whether it is a magician or a warrior, his strength in the canyon will be greatly limited."

"This is not the most terrifying thing. It is said that the real impact is spiritual. Many warriors and magicians act weirdly after coming out of the canyon, and some even went completely crazy!" Angus took Adeline's words and continued.

"We are in danger of wealth and honor. There are many good things left in ancient times. I heard that someone has obtained a legendary broken sword from there. Even if there is only half of the sword body, it is a priceless treasure. If you are lucky, Mr. Tony might be able to get some broken artifacts this time." Tony's eyes were full of excitement. As a thief, Tony naturally likes the remains of this coexistence of risks and opportunities.

"I'm curious now who the employer is? Will he choose to send things to Sauron Canyon?" Adeline couldn't help asking.

Keynes shook his head, "The employer is mysterious. You know that the guy from Mercenary Union Brandon, he won't say a word more about the information his employer asked for confidentiality."

"Even if our mercenary group has the strength, it's very difficult to go anywhere!" Adeline couldn't help but sigh again.

Keynes was silent for a while before whispering, "I know the risk of this mission is very high, but the client gave a price that could not be refused at all, and we don't need to enter the canyon, we just need to send things to the entrance of the valley, where someone is waiting to receive the goods."

Adeline didn't say anything anymore, lowered her head and continued to fiddle with the bonfire with her staff. Since she chose the mercenary line, danger became part of her life.
