Chapter 07 The Past Revealed

The Snow Legion, near the East Lake Station.

Seven or eight soldiers sat around the simple wooden house, and everyone was frowning.

"What should I do? The captain has been missing for five days, and has searched it in a radius of nearly a hundred miles. No one can be seen alive or corpse." The monkey said with his hands spread out.

"I found that our squadron commander Ke, the former squadron leader, had just died in battle, and the new squadron leader disappeared on the first day of his arrival. It's so weird!" Lund muttered.

A thin veteran lowered his head and kept smoking his cigarette pipe. The veteran could not tell his age, wrinkles appeared on his forehead, and his hair on his temples was also a little gray.

"Old Jose, you have an idea?"

The veteran knocked his cigarette pipe on the soles of his shoes and sighed, "Oh, report it truthfully."

The monkey hesitated for a moment, "Repay it true? This time the superiors may have to hold them accountable?"

"Report it truthfully. I also caused this incident. It has implicated the young man. You can do whatever you want."

Lund suddenly laughed and said, "Old Jose may be able to be a blessing in disguise this time? Think about it, if the squadron leader sent by the above will die, will anyone dare to come to our squadron again? Old Jose will become a regular person."

"I am not dead yet? Who is choreographing me behind my back?" A voice suddenly rang outside the wooden house.

"team leader!"

"team leader!"

The monkey was the first to jump out, and soldiers followed closely, with eager eyes in everyone's eyes.

The process of Arthur fighting alone against the demon bear that day had spread throughout the squadron from monkeys and the soldiers who went there. The army was also a place where the strong and the brave men respected them. With just one fight, the young Arthur gained the respect of the soldiers below.

Arthur had changed into a new military uniform and cloak, and there was no sign of any injury on his face. He was smiling and looking at Lund, "What did you say to me just now?"

Lund scratched his head awkwardly, "Well, captain, I'm kidding. I still have a patrol mission, I'll leave first..."

Lund ran away with his head in his arms amid the laughter of the crowd.

"You are Captain Jose, aren't you?" Arthur turned to the veteran in the crowd.

Jose blushed and saluted Arthur first, "I've caused trouble for the captain."

"I heard that you took the risk by yourself to solve the food problem for the squadron." Arthur said, and walked into the house with José in his arms, "By the way, have those two little bears been brought back?"

"I almost forgot when the captain said this. Hurry up and bring the bear meat over for the captain to taste it. This monster meat is a great nourishment!"

After everyone sat together, Arthur briefly talked about his experiences over the past few days, but only said that he was lost. Later, he found an abandoned hunter house to keep it for two days and was injured. As for the part with Leon, he consciously ignored it.

......

Arthur came back safely, and the clouds that enveloped the head of the Seventh Squadron completely dispersed, and everything in the army was back on track.

Arthur is new to him, and everything is not familiar with him. Jose is still responsible for the rotation arrangements such as patrol and guarding.

Arthur's injuries were not healed, and he stayed at the garrison to recuperate after returning. As the squadron leader, Arthur lived in an independent wooden house himself, and three teams lived in a large wooden house for each team.

The night at the station is quiet and boring. The soldiers who have rotation tasks at night have fallen asleep early, while the soldiers who have no tasks gather together to brag and chat.

Arthur was about to enter the state of meditation and practiced, Jose pushed the door and walked in, holding a package and a long sword in his hand.

"The supply in the regiment has arrived during the day, and you also have your military uniform and sword." Jose put down the things and was about to turn around and leave.

Arthur has been observing secretly these days that Old Jose's personality is a bit similar to Arnold. He usually looks like a dull gourd and rarely talks. The soldiers below and Lund are never in a hurry to joke with him, but they are extremely rigorous and meticulous when arranging tasks.

"Wait a minute." Arthur called Jose who was about to leave.

Arthur opened the package in front of Jose, and it was a standard military uniform, with a yellowish protective leather armor and a snow-white leather cloak. The squadron leader's leather armor and cloak were both of the third level, one level higher than the soldiers below. Then he pulled out the long sword and glanced at it. It was the standard long sword in the army, which was average in workmanship, but it was barely enough to be of level 4 weapons.

Arthur picked up the military uniform and put it aside, but pushed the leather armor, cloak and long sword towards Jose, "Take these away, let's separate you three captains from Monkey and Lund."

"No, how can we take the squadron leader's things? This is a violation of military discipline." Jose pushed the things back again.

"Weapons and equipment are the second life of the warrior. Although you are the captains of monkeys, the equipment is no different from ordinary soldiers. Please hold it, you can save your life at critical moments."

But no matter what Arthur said, Jose still stubbornly refused.

Arthur was so excited that he didn't avoid Jose. He took out the Star Falcon Sword from the space bracelet and smashed it heavily on the ground. "What do you think of this sword? Do you understand? I don't like the sword assigned to it!"

When Jose saw the Star Falcon giant sword, he was obviously stunned for a moment, and his eyes lit up instantly.

Jose's expression changed naturally and did not escape Arthur's gaze, "Why, do you know him?"

Jose hesitated for a moment, and finally nodded.

"How did you meet?"

"This sword is so eye-catching that no one who has seen it will forget it, not to mention that it is still in the hands of the commander of the Keynes Division."

Arthur could no longer pretend to be calm, and grabbed Jose's arm, and he finally met someone who knew Captain Keynes's past.

Cairns, Randall and his fellow experiences have always been a mystery to Arthur. They and many of the mercenaries of "Blue Virgin" were from the army, but they were all very taboo about that experience and never mentioned it.

At Yingzui Village in the Shallow Ridge, Old Harry told Arthur for the first time that Cairns had served in the Snow and Snow Corps, and asked Arthur to pay attention to the experience of Cairns and their past. The assassination in Sauron Canyon may also be related to what he had experienced in the army.

"Captain, please be gentle."

Arthur was too excited and grabbed Jose's arm like a pliers, and Jose grinned in pain.

Arthur smiled embarrassedly, "Sit down and tell me about Captain Keynes's experience?"

"I just recognize this sword and don't know the experience of the Keynes Division."

Arthur was stunned, "Is it not allowed to discuss the army of Commander Keynes?"

"That's right. I was just a soldier back then. The commander of the Keynes Division was a high-ranking general. I can only look up to it. How could I understand the experience of the commander of the division."

Arthur looked at Jose's eyes, "Captain Jose, the Star Falcon Sword is in my hands, Cairns is also my most respected leader. From your perspective, you can say as much as you know about the past."

Jose sat down cross-legged, "Okay, the captain wanted to hear about the matter back then, so I'll talk about it."
