Chapter 6 Mary (6)
On the other hand, people who registered for the martial arts competition were already lined up.
Awutmok and other Aztran warriors were busy maintaining order. Ravi gritted his teeth and wrote quickly, while Ella received the endless enrollment, and was so anxious that she almost cried.
"I said it was a marriage into a marriage! Do you understand? It was a marriage into a marriage into a marriage into a marriage into a Duke of Aquitaine. Do you understand? You still have to register for a marriage into a marriage into a marriage into a marriage? What are your problems?"
"The daughter of Duke Aquitaine is very ugly! She has a big beard! She looks as ugly as the pirate king of the Pirate Kingdom! Are you afraid? What, you really love the daughter of Duke Aquitaine, it doesn't matter what you look like? You have never even seen her face!"
"I have said it several times and want nobles, and civilians should not join in the fun! It's already messy enough, don't cause trouble!"
Sivadon walked over with a stack of paper: "Master God, several merchants have just come here. They heard that they were going to hold a martial arts competition, and they all wanted to rent their own venue for you. Which one do you want to rent?"
“What are the options?”
"A boss said that he had an open space in the suburbs. It was originally a shepherd. He fenced and transformed it, built an auditorium, and separated the venues for various competitions. It should be able to accommodate tens of thousands of spectators. It takes about three months to prepare?"
"Three months? Isn't that okay? The matter is already big now. It's really a big deal. It's really three months old. The Duke of Aquitaine himself is afraid that he will come to compete with me!"
"There is another one that is the owner of the racecourse, where the auditorium can accommodate thousands of spectators. If you make a little transformation, it will take about twenty days to prepare..."
"Twenty days are not enough! Just like this, who knows what will become in twenty days!"
"There is another arena, not big, so you can't do it right away. Usually, you can compete in group battles and wrestling events. Decorate them and you can use them the day after tomorrow..."
"That's it!!!"
Ella stood up and shouted at the crowd:
"Listen, the game time is the day after tomorrow, in the arena! Those who are too far away can't get there, don't pass the news to them!"
"Then let me sign up first!"
The crowd rushed up and broke through the defense line of Awutmok and others, knocking the table, Ravi and Ella.
"This won't work. I have to think of a solution!" Ella struggled to crawl out of the crowd, "Sivaton, I'll give you the pendant, and I'll leave it all to you!"
"Ah? What?" Sivaton was pressed under the table and didn't react.
Ella has already run away.
Just as Ella was doing these things, the son of the Duke of Normandy had arrived in Paris under the escort of Hestein.
Although Ella was busy preparing for the martial arts competition, the action plan did not delay. According to the original plan, after arriving in Paris, the son of the Duke of Normandy would first test the wishes of the Count of Isle de France, and after ensuring that there was no danger, then arrange a meeting between Ella and the Count of Isle de France. During this process, Ella wanted to hide her identity and continue to pretend to be a Gentile merchant - now the people who pretend to be "Duke of Aquitaine" are not much different.
Hestein looked at the entire city silently. The city of Paris was still prosperous, but when he looked at the dark alley, he found that there were many ragged people in their backs. If they approached, they could still smell a stench from the rotten corpse.
"The security here doesn't look very good," he said.
"I've been in the Black Death recently, and there are more refugees. So you have to do your duty." The son of the Duke of Normandy said, and sighed again, "I hope this round of plague will not affect Normandy."
Located in the southwest of Paris, the Palace of Versailles is huge in size and is no less than one block. Entering the palace, it is a magnificent golden corridor with countless white marble sculptures on both sides.
The duke's son reported his identity to the soldiers who came up to him, and then took Hestein to wait in the side hall. Not long after, a polite old man came over, bowed apologetically, and said, "I'm sorry, please let everyone go for a free trip. The consul is in good health and cannot meet you. If necessary, I can arrange food and accommodation for you in the palace and wait until the consul's health improves."
"Is it really bad? Is it really bad or fake bad?" The duke's son was unhappy. "We came here all the way, how could he not see us?"
Facing the questioning of the duke's son, the old man raised his head and said seriously: "How is the young master's father now?"
"I'm a little injured and am recuperating. What's wrong?"
"Since that's the case, then you have not inherited the Duke of Mandy yet. You are just a landless noble. I am bluntly speaking, it is common for the consul to be busy with affairs and cannot meet guests as soon as possible. It is very polite to be able to arrange food and accommodation for you. I just pretended that I didn't hear those words."
These words made the Duke's son speechless. As the old man said, the Duke of Normandy was the direct subordinate of the consul, and the Duke of Normandy was nothing. Even if he was left behind, he had no reason to get angry.
Just as he was dejectedly trying to go back, Hestein spoke from the side: "So, can you take us to see Miss Mary? We have prepared some gifts and wanted to give them to her."
"Miss Mary?" the old man looked at Hestein with a strange expression. "Since there is a gift, of course, please come with me."
Hestein used to pack up the women snatched by the pirates to the Palace of Versailles, so he knew the rules inside the Palace of Versailles. However, the duke's son was confused. After all, in his eyes, Hestein was just a mercenary he hired:
"What are you talking about? Is Mary talking about the consul's sister? Why do we go to see Mary?"

"The Earl of France loves Mary very much and will hardly refuse Mary's request. Getting Mary's support is equivalent to getting the support of the Earl of France." Hestein lied quietly, "I was hired by other nobles before and came to Versailles several times, so I know."
"You really have it." The Duke's son happily photographed Hestein, "Go back and give you a bounty!"
Passing through a row of dancer sculptures painted with gold powder, Hestein and others came to two magnificent gates. The gate was two tall, and a series of hideous monsters such as lions, poisonous snakes, wild boars, bulls, etc. were all painted with gold powder. There were two stone pillars on both sides of the gate, and two salamanders made of sterling silver were placed on them.
Two guards blocked the door and stopped Hestein and his group. So the old man turned around and spread his hands towards the Duke's son.
The Duke's son was stunned and didn't know what it meant.
"Where is a gift to Miss Mary?" the old man asked.
The duke's son then realized and hurriedly handed over the gift that he had originally wanted to give to the Count of Ile de France.
The old man gave the guard a color, and the guard rolled the salamander's eyes. As a stream of clear water spit out of the salamander's mouth, a "click" sound sounded inside the door. The soldiers pushed the door again and opened slowly.
A stream of hot water vapor floated out, carrying a faint fragrance.
"You guys are here to wait a little longer."
