Chapter 6: Flow numerology and infinite series (1)
Gregorian found Crodisius on a wilderness.
The earth was pitch black, and it was hard to tell whether it was Crodisius' magic or whether the night had really arrived. The old man stood alone between heaven and earth, half tilting his head, as if he was looking up at the stars in the sky, and as if he was listening to the whispers of an angel.
Hearing the footsteps coming from behind, Crodis said without looking back: "Gregorian, Almany Federation has not found that group of people yet."
"Is that so? That Count of Ile-de-France is really useless."
"Your tone is really light. Gregory, I ask you, how does the magic of the ancient church of Abraham look?"
"We have to admit that they have mastered a unique magic, and that magic comes from our God Yawei - at least on the surface."
"On the surface? Are you still doubting their magic?"
"Of course, doubt. They declared with confidence that their magic came from the understanding and measurement of the gods, and it is obvious that how can the infinite God be understood? We mortals cannot understand the infinite nature unless their 'god' is disguised by the demons."
"Gregorian, you are using an uncertain result to get another result. First, how do you be sure that they believe in the demons and that we believe in the only God?"
"It can be proved by a very simple method: the Supreme God will never lose to anyone. We are God's agents in the world. Unless they can beat us, their power can only come from the demons - of course, it is to be done with all our might. The situation like someone who is almost killed with a smile cannot be proven."
Crodis snorted: "Do you come here to make me thank you?"
"How dare I ask you to thank you." Gregory approached Crodisi step by step. "Since you can invalidate the magic by limiting the power of a person, you can do it even without me, right?"
While speaking, Gregory had already come behind Crodisius. Looking at Crodisius's back, Gregory's expression suddenly became serious.
"Crodith, it's my turn to ask—what did you want me to contact the ancient church of Abraham?"
Crodisius did not follow Gregory's words, but asked:
"Gregorian, why do you use the Almany Federation to find those people? You have seen their magic, and with your ability, you can tell where they are thousands of miles away."
"Crodith, why do you let them take away the "Carcels of the Chariot"? With your ability, you can completely put everyone in a deep sleep early. But you let them release that magic! Why is this? Do you want to use their magic to convince me? Could it be that you have betrayed the church?"
A huge magic began to surge around Gregory, and he was ready for battle. However, Crodisi did not respond at all.
"Nostalgia. If I betray God, how could God continue to give me strength? It's just that I've seen so many things that I've become a little confused about the world."
Gregori looked at him expressionlessly: "What did you see?"
"Do you believe it? There is some kind of close relationship between heaven and earth. Everything that happens in heaven has its own corresponding things on earth."
"I know you are a master of astrology. Tell me, what did you predict?"
Crodis looked at the sky, his voice full of vicissitudes: "It's been a hundred years, and I have calculated this matter many times, and the result of each time makes me unable to sleep."
Gregory laughed disdainfully: "It's not uncommon to be scared like you were almost killed at an auction."
"You don't understand, I'm not afraid of death at all. On the contrary, I'm very curious about death. Why didn't I stop the magic of the twelve tribes? It's just because I want to see if that magic can really kill me! In fact, that magic can't kill me either - at most it just causes me to suffer some serious injuries."
"Since you are so confident about your immortality, what are you still afraid of?"
"I'm afraid the world will gradually change - not because of God, but in the hands of man."
Crodis opened his hands, as if he wanted to embrace the vast starry sky into his arms. He spit out magical words from his mouth, and each word shocked the earth:
"Someone will pick up a ruler and measure it infinitely."
"There will be someone holding up the earth and throwing it straight into the sky."
"There will be someone to use magic to destroy the four elements."
"And in the end, someone will say, "You must have light."
"So everything appears in the light."
"'You need light'? Is this trying to imitate Genesis?" Gregory smiled and shook his head, "Crodith, can your astrology predict what others will say next? Then do you want to predict my next sentence?"
"Gregorian, don't question my magic. The stars tell me that the first prophecy is about to be realized - the ruler for measuring infinite is about to be born. For thousands of years, human wisdom is about to cross the insurmountable abyss, from nothing to infinite. A drastic change is about to come, and people will erect a new Tower of Babel on the ground. The fearful infinity is the cornerstone of this new tower."
"Crodith, your prophecy has been wrong more than once. You told the King of Kings that Barcelona of the Seven Hills Empire will become the biggest enemy of the Tianfang Empire, and the King of Kings sent me to the Seven Hills Empire. But after I inquired later, I realized that the girl could not have magic at all."
"You mean Ella Cornelius Scipio? You have been in the Federation of Almani for so long, and you should have heard some news, right? The Pirate Kingdom has a magical and powerful 'Triumph', and her surname is Scipio."
"I just came back after seeing that 'Triumph'. Her hands were rough, and it would never be that Ella Cornelius Scipio. And her magic was nothing big."
Gregory shook his head and continued, "Era Cornelius Scipio has probably been killed long ago. This also explains why my magic cannot bring her back from Antilia to the Seven Hills Empire - the dead are only under God's jurisdiction, beyond my power."
Crodisius's voice was filled with a hint of sadness: "Gregorian, you underestimate the enemy too much. You are the most humble among the apostles. But even you are so arrogant."
"Maybe, I'm really proud of this, just as you are proud of your life."
Seeing that Crodisius did not seem to betray Abraham's Orthodox Church, Gregory put away his magic.
"Didn't you ask me why I didn't go looking for those people in person? I answered you like this: It's the same reason you have. You want to try whether that magic can end your life, and I want to see if they can really measure infinitely."
"You have given them too long! I think they have fully interpreted the "Type of Chariots" now!"
